  1. Lame lame lame. My goodness back to Illinois play.
  2. Disjointed, messed up game. Officiating is a true "F." Glad SF is fighting for the right calls by them.. even though he can't seem to make the right offensive calls.
  3. Weak calling. Strong guys who want this. Coaches!!
  4. I sure hope Mark Cuban is right about all of his picks today.
  5. The hope is that they'll never play Ooh Poo Pah Doo again.
  6. Or perhaps an UberKommittee of GSG Approved Censors to peruse new threads for Quality Standards to GSG High Ideals prior to being seen by the Husker Board Lumpenproletariat at large.
  7. I don't see our Huskers carrying this off. Looking over the MSU and Okie games I have hope because those issues that lost those two games seem to have been successfully addressed. BUT, the "seems to have been successfully addressed" comes via a pretty bad Northwestern team (great timing for us schedule-wise). And now, undefeated Michigan.
  8. Interesting if we're seen as a first test this year for Michigan. Nebraska.. a big test for Michigan. Old times come to mind with a couple of Florida teams.
  9. Michigan 42 Nebraska 27 Passing 248 Running 220
  10. Mixed feelings, I think. The werewolf thing. .. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Talbot
  11. Ursula Touched Larry. That was the Original Meaning.
  12. Yeah you must have responded just as I was editing my post. .. Interesting list of activity in the Wolverine minds. I'm surprised they focussed on Adrian's mistakes.
  13. What's a UTL crowd? .. edit, just realized Under The Lights. Meanwhile, looks like they anticipate mistakes by AM and also not being able to run rampant over our defense. Interesting.
  14. That crowd.. that score.. that whole thing last night carried me back quite a way.. I was overwhelmed by memories of times just like that when it was quite common at home games and was quite expected.
  15. Well yes I do agree that they're over rated and perhaps Oklahoma as well. I think my feeling so impressed by those two games is what happened at the Illinois game; that game told me (hopefully falsely) that we were no further in progress than several years ago and it was depressing. Then we did pretty much what we were supposed to do in the pillow fight games, then we almost beat MSU and Oklahoma. ... now this with Northwestern. So, yes I feel a direction and it seems good, and it's largely there because of those two close losses.
  16. Actually for Nebraska's season this year close does count, as both the Okie and the MSU game showed us huge differences (and portents of things to come as to effort and fire and all that) between now and last year and previous years with SF and predecessors. "Close but still got the L" can be very educational as to the direction of the program.
  17. Well yeah..back then they tried to change the good hot dogs at the stadium.. and they tried to get rid of Herbie. And they did get rid of our hard running option offense and replaced it with "wildcat" or whatever else you want to call it to "modernize Husker football," and we then began the long freefall into the oblivion that we're just now (hopefully) climbing out of. Jeesh.. what a ride.
  18. Thank you. The 'Cats will of course bounce back. Great program with great coaches and players.
  19. As to the topic title, during and following this game I learned that the players respect the coaching staff enough to respond. Not just some of the players, but pretty much every one of them on all squads. It was a special week of practice, I gather from news accounts of Scott Frost's words. And this game was the result. That can't happen without full commitment by the players, and they seem to have done that this past week in particular.
  20. If we can reign in our mistakes, I think we've got this.
