If we gain his commitment too then we are adding some serious speed with him and McGahee at the linebacker position. Nebraska is setting themselves up nicely.

Well if we win a National Championship after gaining Dylan Raiola's commitment and gain a few more then you couldn't ask for a better day to be a fan of the Huskers. It be the best Christmas gift we had around here in a long time.

He is and certain analyst have even said Ryan Puglisi is better then Raiola bc of his athleticism. Do you want a Patrick Mahomes as your qb(Raiola) who has a strong arm can make every throw and can pick up a first down by running with his legs or do you want a Josh Allen as your qb that is a dual threat qb (Puglisi)?

That's true but that a totally different scenario bc of family ties to this place. Nebraska wouldn't even be able to draw him here without that. The only way Nebraska could have drawn him in is if he was actually from here and wanted to stay home and play for his home state otherwise there wouldn't be any interest for him to look our way.

I just think it puts him behind the eightball that's all. Of course he could start for other teams I was joking He did get recruited by Florida State and he was highly ranked coming out of high school.

I mean where else would he go to start?? Not saying he couldn't find a home but if you were going to do that don't you think you give yourself a better chance to start once the transfer portal opened? If you wait too long to enter most teams already have their roster set with guys from the portal and high school.

Do we have a realistic chance on landing him?? I know he is committed to Oregon but I wonder how solid he is.

Expectations for next year should be get to a bowl game and build off of that success. Don't put expectations on wins/losses

With the the pieces we bring back next year on defense that is a possibility just like you said will Nebraska surround him with enough talent to succeed on offense.

I think it's going to be the other way which is Raiola will start this year coming up bc Matt Rhule believes in his ability. Will their be growing pains when it comes to him yes bc he has to adjust to the speed of the college game but I believe that Matt Rhule thinks with the pieces he has that they can overcome that. DK will redshirt. You don't bring the number one qb in the nation to sit you bring him in to play.

And we will miss out on all the good qb's in the transfer portal and have a qb battle of HH and CP next year and be right back at where we started.

Good. Its a great day when we can poach their recruits from them. I know we didn't poach Raiola but it definitely feels like we stole him away from them.
