We aren't so dismissive of Matt Campbell for Lance Leipold. Most Husker Fans want neither so hopefully we keep it that way.

Well I keep hearing the media's choice is Lance Leipold bc of what he has done at Kansas. I hate the media outlets bc they obviously feel he would be a great hire. Big 10 football and Big 12 football are two totally different leagues with their styles and toughness. When we joined, we thought we could hang with the big boys, boy were we in wrong. The media and certain fans that want him would say that's a statement hire.

I think if we were to hire Chadwell our defense would suffer just like when we hired Scott. It wouldn't get any better.

How do you know that isn't or hasn't been done with bringing the women on campus? How do you know that's not part of it? I haven't heard of one coach never that brings women into meetings to talk about respecting women. Even if those kids don't make it to the league nil has nothing to do with the nfl its all about ones self branding. So he is saying their is alot of temptation in this generation don't let it ruin you bc it almost ruined him. Great example of a head coach doing the right things can't say he isn't.

Well who is then under your terms bc if you wouldn't accept Deion please don't mention Matt Campbell or Lance Leipold. Those guys don't qualify bc they don't compare to great winners like Urban but they are solid program builders.

I'm with you but nobody knows how good he is as a coach except the players he coaches.

Yeah I don't think enough fans are giving him enough credit for him as a coach. The media does but the fans think he is all a big act(joke)

Im in agreeance with you. Some people might question him bc he wasn't the sole rebuilder of a crap program. So people might question if he can rebuild Nebraska to a powerhouse or recruit here. I think enough kids know his reputation.

Proven that he can win at least a conference championship at Baylor of all places. Yes he is 17-10 but he has them playing at a high level and ranked. Plus he is a defensive wizard as a coach with experience at LSU and Wisconsin. You man be right that he gained good players from the previous staff but it takes a good coach to keep that level of play up. Yes its still early this year but he is well on his way to having another great season for Baylor. Oh yeah he also won a New's Day Bowl(Sugar Bowl) against Lane Kiffen and Ole Miss.

Really or are colleges afraid of his persona and don't want to take a chance on him? He has more experience then SF got hired. SF was only a coach at UCF for 2 years. Deion has been coaching for 3 years there so don't give me that.

Some people have mentioned Curt Cignetti on this board. You know anyone of those coaches can coach but Nebraska is different bc its on a bigger scale. The only thing you question is if Husker fans will support the hire and if they can consistently bring in talent every year bc you know they can develop. You can say that Deion Sanders doesn't have that question about him about recruiting players for his team.

I agree with you but Husker fans are ok with certain candidates. Even if the Huskers don't reach out or hire Urban I truly believe their are other names then those 4 that could make a huge statement saying we are serious about trying to win.

And I agree with you but Im not taking anything away from him and his success. People have talked about certain coordinators who could potentially get hired. If your going to talk about coordinators as potential candidates then people are going to bring up Sanders bc he has experience. It may be little but little is better then none. I don't honestly think that Sanders could/will be a candidate but I do feel he will eventually lead a power 5 program bc of his success at Jackson State.

Its not necessary just bc he is famous. I think people are talking about him bc he is having success with very little experience as a head coach. If he can recruit kids to pass up bigger and better colleges to come play for him we all think he could recruit anywhere. He resonates with the young crowd bc of his coaching style in return he has and will continue to win.

And your right but to say Deion Sanders doesn't have no substance for his success is wrong.
