Colorado has been enjoying their own hype all week. Make Travis Hunter realize two-way football gets harder after one game. Punch them in the mouth!

Sanders is a magnet for attention, always has been. He brought in some real talent, including his son, and they are a very dynamic team. TCU didn’t know what to expect or how to prepare for them during the first game. They have talent and they are the media’s darling. We always hated Colorado. Now it will be fun to again. But this one game, when our team was hardly filled with success for years, is about their hype, their coach. Our time will be decided by more than a game, or a season I am afraid. Sure the revolving door of coaches and promises is so old it is sickening at times. I get it. But by no means does everything come down to winning this one game. Our coach hasn’t had a chance. Temple was I think 2-10 his first season? At Baylor it was 1 - 11. His results are universally viewed as successful later during each tenure.

I am under the weather, cranky, irritated at watching the Huskers look like they should carve “Rinse and Repeat” into the stone to memorialize their underwhelming program’s longer than recent history, and then seeing Colorado (with Coach $&@! Time). As if there was not enough reasons to hate Colorado, at least they had been dormant. I really don’t care if my post might be repetitive because frankly I am too tired and lazy to read 40 pages on this thread. For everything holy, keep this close and punch them in the mouth…at the very least. Please! We don’t ask for much these days!!!

So far, really nothing. I think 3 wins are possible and 4 are likely the best they can do this season.. I did enjoy watching the defense. They kept it a game that was inexcusable to lose. The offense is a complete mess. Nothing dynamic, nothing special, nothing to see as promising. Predictable passing game without the arm or the receivers to move the ball. This was not a case of first game jitters, mental mistakes or lack of team cohesion. They look like they are running in sand. This will take a few years, maybe only 2 with the portal but will stud players want to transfer to Lincoln?. That sure is a familiar thought pattern, but no blame for Rhule at this point. Not enough pieces to compete. Watching many other games this weekends made watching us even worse.

I predict Urban goes to Auburn to see what he can do in the SEC again.

Thought the uniforms were cool today and wouldn’t mind if that was our regular. Lately every variant worn has been disgraced so we can’t base what we wear on if we played well while wearing it.. We kind of had a scoring explosion. But the defense had a bigger implosion!

We would definitely win the off season headlines. I am not saying it wouldn’t be interesting. I think an expectation he would/should do it in the amount of time he was going to championships at UF or OSU might have many with a fire Urban hashtag and screen name before too long.

It really isn’t just his business. There is no “business” as serious about winning football than the NFL. But in this age when everything you do is immediately publicized, the actions of players and coaches is a tremendous factor. In the Midwest and South there are still many households with traditional values. A coach that acted like a teenager with a female that was not his wife, in a bar, instead of traveling with his team after a loss, is not going to go over well with many moms. He also was reported to have created a toxic environment with the Bengals. I am not saying he can’t coach. But he will also win at all costs and this might be a very tough place to do just that.
