  1. I'm a fat bastard, you can't expect ME to go without eating until we win. I could go with the not shaving though.
  2. until

This game is on ABC, why isn't that part of the calendar event?
  3. In spite of his high school success we should not hire this guy.
  4. I stand corrected, thank you. I'll fix my posts accordingly.
  5. So now we're belittling Auburn? UCF beat the 7th ranked team in a bowl game after going undefeated during the season. Going undefeated is no small feat no matter what conference or level you're playing at and neither is beating the 7th ranked team in a bowl. Beating Auburn showed that UCF team was for real.
  6. As I recall, Auburn was ranked 7th going into that Bowl game and Mr NoGoodWins beat them.
  7. Scott Frost won big in his second season at UCF also, what's your point?
  8. I'll agree to disagree on this one. I'll agree to disagree on this as well.
  9. I don't think Urban is coming here either although stranger things have happened. Looking back, after watching the dumpster fires that were Riley and Frost, Callahan doesn't seem so bad.
  10. If coaches are mandated by law to report abuse then Urban's silence is not only a moral issue but a legal one as well. As far as the part I bolded. Wow....just wow.
  11. According to Smith's wife, Urban was told about the abuse and did nothing. I'm not ok with that and I think it's kind of telling that you are still making excuses for Urban. Heck, you even made an excuse for Paterno just now. That seems, disgusting.
  12. Trev needs to hire the right person for the job instead of listening to fans. Fan choices got us a hothead on the sidelines and also gave us Scott Frost and his 4 losing seasons.
  13. This sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. Joe Paterno turned a blind eye to Sandusky's pedophilia, was that "ok" because Paterno wasnt Sandusky's father? If not, then how do we use that excuse for Urban's behavior?
  14. If I'm remembering correctly, Urban knew about the abuse his assistant was dishing out and did nothing. After a quick internet search it seems likely that he didn't do anything even though he knew. Knowing and doing nothing is not ok. I don't know if as a coach Urban was considered a person who is required to report abuse as soon as he finds out but even if he wasn't required to do so it was still the right thing to do. And he failed. https://www.si.com/nfl/draft/news/urban-meyer-apologizes-to-ex-wife-of-former-ohio-state-assistant https://www.wqad.com/article/news/local/drone/8-in-the-air/did-urban-meyer-know-of-alleged-abuse-assistants-ex-wife-calls-out-coach-in-latest-ohio-state-scandal/526-ef8a4701-abc1-4287-978d-d71fb8bd8d49 https://slate.com/culture/2018/08/urban-meyer-zach-smith-ohio-state-coverup.html
  15. He's probably not a Bible-thumper. It would probably be more accurate (and respectful) to call him a man of faith.
  16. It's up to Trev Alberts to hire a coach that can manage the football program AND has character.
  17. Stepping out on your spouse/significant other shows a lack of character (and a total disregard for their well being). When you lack character how are you supposed to teach the kids/young men in your charge? Again, YMMV.
  18. Scout leaders try to teach young boys how to behave properly, among other things. Football coaches try to teach their charges how to act like responsible young men and make the right choices, among other things. I don't see much difference in that regard but YMMV.
  19. What about emotional or psychological injury? Those things are real and many times carry consequences for the injured party for far longer than physical injury. Are you ok with that? https://uihc.org/childrens/news/emotional-abuse-neglect-may-be-more-harmful-long-term-physical-sexual-abuse
