  1. Hmmm. Well that would be a shame. Course they'll always be the blackshirts to us.
  2. I think TT will have to take some shots down the field to open things up and Leach will give his line a chance to do that. It'll be interesting to see how our secondary holds up during those opportunities because after showing several short balls, the line might try to sit back for a pass block and give them enough time for that deep ball. And Caveman that tufftiger quote is hilarious. Stoned!
  3. I put todd reesing fairly high. He has no real chance of winning so it made sense.
  4. I think if Bo didn't care about it. He'd just give them out to the first team because it's tradition. He seems to appreciate our traditions. I think he sees an opportunity to further motivate his kids. Why waste a reward. Bo strikes me as the type that thinks several steps in advance.
  5. I'm not worried about them losing enough games. That's what the south is for. OU, TT, TU...have fun jayhawks
  6. Sigh....getting tired of hearing the KC radio stations talk about how missouri dominated for 3 quarters. Seriously 3 quarters. 12 points.
  7. Ha. Some of those are pretty funny. Liked the rockettes with oh damn is it peterson or swift. Some of it was pretty crude but most was fun.
  8. Maybe we should start voting some other bottom dwellers ahead of Tebow. You know get him down to maybe 8th or 9th...
  9. I think most of us agree that we need a solid ground game. I'm not talking the eric crouch era but it's crazy to watch georgia tech score over 40 on people running that triple option that Nebraska and TO made famous. I really want our offense to open the pass with the run and not the other way around. I feel like with the majority of B12 schools going spread...let's go different. (I know West coast...) A great way to pick up top recruits is little competition from other schools since their offense doesn't require said player.
  10. Good gawd man. Felt like I was caught in the middle of my inlaws and wife feuding. I think Lee is the man. He's a great leader. Calm and cool. He had an amazing 4th quarter. I think he'll play just fine. I really believe it was weather and VaTech's defense is good. Look at what they did to miami. Harris was a mess. Settled down a little bit but they were eating him alive. Yeah I see what you mean. I thought you were addressing me. What did I do?
  11. Did I not just say I'm in huge support of him? And again I have the right to my opinion just like everyone else. I merely came to the defense of people attacking the same way you are now! With quick temper and a lousy attitude.
  12. That's why ESPN should'nt have such a monopoly on televising the games. It is frustrating cause there are so many deserving players out there. Just make it that you can't win twice ever. There's already enough people that refuse to vote for a guy who has already won it so just make it a rule. Open up the field for others. Just my thoughts. I heard on a KC radio station this morning their chirping for Todd Reesing for the trophy. Ok. Since they'll end up with 3 or 4 losses and won't equal the stats of a bunch of other qb's out there (not with that o line). I would love to see defenders get involved. Course it makes it all the more impressive when they do. When was the last time we saw a defender invited? I don't remember.
  13. Yeah I just realized you guys have probably addressed this question multiple times so my bad. Just don't like seeing fellow huskers ganged up on. Too quick to the defense. I back off that statement. I'm personally behind Lee 100%. Think he makes enough plays and doesn't lose the game.
  14. Ah huskerboard....where a simple question during down time recieves endless ridicule. Chill out it was just a question. You're answers are great but why the attitude?
  15. How bout this possibility. New back comes in to play...fumbles ball in key situation. I watched wisconsin two weeks ago put number two guy in to give their bulldozer a breather for one play...one play. They were wearing down minnesota and driving to go up 3 scores....fumble, 80 yrd td return and suddenly a ballgame. Not saying it's going to happen but Rex came in as a true freshman and became #2 on the chart for a reason. No doom and gloom here. It's just reality that you lose a player that plays every game and it will make a difference. Just don't know how much yet. (could very well be a positive one as another guy makes the best of his shot)
  16. I think the point about protecting the ball is key. With our defense, winning the turnover battle may be just enough to get through the tough games. Well there was that one...
  17. Why not? If so many writers can whine about the BCS and talk about BCS busters every year...
  18. Agreed. (in terms of nu facing the best offense to date and TT facing the best D)
  19. Yeah it's just most of us have been able to watch Bo pelini firsthand and we like what we see. It's still very early but the progress the team has been making is very encouraging. Did you think there would be any publications outside of the state of Nebraska discussing BCS game possibilites in year 2?
  20. Yeah ESPN has way too much influence on who gets nominated.
  21. I second Green playing. What a nice wrinkle to an offense that a lot say has no identity. And I am sad about Rex. That boy knows how to fall forward and fight for extra yards. That's vital to a struggling offense. And turnovers aren't an issue.
  22. I put him behind Snyder cause I still stand behind the massive improvement to one of the graveyards in the big 8.
