  1. From what I can hear on the tin-can radio broadcast, Jake says Maryland is playing their best offensive game of the year. Here's a problem, Jake: they're playing their best game because Nebraska's defense is effing garbage. And as I type this, the BTN camera pans to Hoiberg and in the background I can actually see Kent and Jake holding phones up and talking into them. Did they forget headsets for the guys? Bee-zarre.
  2. Kent and Jake sound like they're broadcasting from a foxhole in Baghdad circa 1991. On top of that, my radio is blending two stations at once so I can hear Journey playing. NOOOOOOO.
  3. Faith, plus being in a financial bind from 2020 plus a wildly irresponsible, unearned pay raise with crippling buyout terms given by Moos. Fred still hasn't made the NCAA tournament, much less won a game in it. But gotdang I hope this win bolsters their resumé and they finally get a crack. Fingers crossed the committee has mercy and lines up a more favorable matchup than Tim Miles' only dance.
  4. Huh? The 1902 team went undefeated and unscored on, but we don't go touting our 1902 "national championship" even though we probably could if we really, really wanted to, etc. etc. Nebraska is a blue blood by virtue of having success in the early 20th century, AS WELL AS the run that is longer than you claim, 1962-2001 without a season at-or-below .500. The more important question is if blue blood status can be lost and what the criteria for that is.
  5. I can't find any recruiting rankings for Vermont, which is also blank on that chart. Delaware has a 3-star Edge not signed, let's go grab our 6th #1
  6. I feel like trying to throw an ill-advised left-handed pass only to have it picked off and returned for a touchdown is something a Nebraska QB has done the last decade or so. But I know. . .you should have clarified, a guy who was ACTUALLY legitimately left-handed and not just making a bad choice in the heat of the moment
  7. The radio pre-game show said 7-10 days for Mast.
  8. I was hoping they'd learned not to take a half off after that pants-soiling performance in Minnesota, but there they went again. Fortunately, coming to life about midway through the second half here and have taken the lead, but still a ways to go to close it out. Some consistency, Fred. Find it.
  9. I've said it elsewhere, I'll say it here: we owe Scotty one. If he'd done the bare minimum and showed up for the in-house visit, he probably would have gotten Dylan's commit that day. Then Danny K. commits to Missouri and stays with them, and Nebraska doesn't get such a tremendous boost in quality QB competition/depth. Thanks Scott, pour one out bud.
  10. The contract was effective August 1st, not sure if that was done retroactively but it seems probable it was in the works already to get all the assistants on the same timeline contract wise.
  11. Supposedly somebody saw something on the screen Saturday.
  12. The internet tells me it has to do with hairlines. Hell if I know what that has to do with anything.
  13. Apparently there was a video of the whole thing from the press box that got deleted quickly. We live in an era where WE are Big Brother so here's a screenshot: Good luck actually determining who the hell that really is on the field though
  14. Let's rephrase that: Rhule is taking a huge chance with this and in the end it could greatly AFFECT the recruiting and trust of sons of former players, especially ones that are extremely talented and highly desired. Etc. etc. Rhule HAS to do what he's doing right now. Any f***ing adult should understand this situation is special.
  15. Wow, that was something else. Definitely was prepared for 4 or 5 set battle, but Pitt got Cooked.
  16. And yet, here we all are on message boards refreshing the page all day. *unzips*
  17. Beware the period on the end of the url:
  18. Not a super encouraging performance in that match, but back to the Final Four?
  19. My best guess: Rhule started watching film right away and saw QBs getting injured from brutal assaults while OL just stood and watched, and figured a mobile QB for the time being might help while the line got shored up. Or maybe Rhule just has ADHD and is all over the place, I'm not a mind-reader for crying out loud.
  20. Giving the shooter a rebound on his own missed free throw is one of those plays where you contemplate speed-dialing the search firm
