I'm going to visit a college buddy of mine next month in Albuquerque. He hasn't lived there all that long, so he doesn't really know a whole lot about the city. Anybody have any suggestions about what to do or see? Thanks in advance!

I'll watch whatever, HD or no HD. But the HD is far superior and preferred. I watched the Strikeforce fights on Showtime HD last night, crappy fights, but the detail was unreal. The NBA finals have been kinda crappy so far, mainly because our local ABC channel is such crappy quality, even with the "digital" signal they have. I am looking forward to watching Faber vs Brown II on VS HD tonight.

So my parents just put a big stone (freakin heavy) fountain in the backyard. It needs some cleaning up. There are calcium deposits and the like all over it. Anybody have any experience with this or any suggestions? They're not looking to use Lime-Away because it says it might discolor it. I'm pretty sure the fountain is just made out of concrete. Any help is much appreciated.

Has anybody ever seen the show "Bully Beatdown" on MTV? It's sort of funny. Anyway, I saw a guy get choked out with a gogoplata last night on one of the reruns. I had honestly never seen it used outside of the WWE and wasn't really sure it would ever actually work in a real fight. I lol'ed.

I kinda have the feeling that Machida will try to hit some pinpoint attacks and duck out, but I think Evans has something up his, um, sleeve for that and will win in the 3rd. I think I read that this is Hughes last fight, so he's going to be looking to go out on a win. This could be bad for him. I'm taking Matt "The Terror" Serra. I will also take Sherk, Sonnen and McFeidres. As for the rest... um... Larson, Hague, Nover, Soszynski, Yoshida and Roop.

So I've seen a lot of people complaining about Machida-Evans fight coming up, saying the UFC is blowing it way out of proportion and inflating these guys records to make it seem like they are other-worldly fighters. I haven't seen much of either guy, other than a few clips talking about Machida's unique stance. I could see this one going the distance, but you never know when someone is going to slip one through your guard or get a sweet counter on you.

Ok, I officially suck. I got KO'ed in my first UFC match (2:12, 3rd Rd). I forget to keep my guard up. I really thought I was working the guy pretty well. I was countering just about everything he threw at me and was working him well with the ground and pound. But leaving my hands down f'ed me in the end. The create-a-fighter is really limited. There's only like 10 nicknames at the most? That's weak sauce. I think I'm going to like the fact that you can't just be the best fighter right away and actually have to work at it.

What's boring about career mode? Does it take forever to build up stats? From what I saw on the IGN Boards, the turbo controllers supposedly don't work online. Either way, if you're looking for people that play straight up, there are a ton of threads over there with lists of gamertags looking for legit competition.

Anybody go get this yet? Or going to get it sometime today?

WEC is fine, but I get kinda sick of watching the smaller guys all the time since WEC dropped their high weight classes. If y'all are looking for some other fighting to watch, tune into ESPNDeportes (I know, it's in Spanish). They show the Bellator Fighting Championships which is a 3 month tournament. It's mostly American fighters, so I'm not sure why it's on ESPNDeportes, but these guys are pretty decent too. No high weight classes either, but whatev. It's on Saturday nights. They use a round ring rather than the Octogon or a boxing ring. My friend just moved to Vegas and was bragging about getting to watch Lesnar vs Mir this summer. My money's on Lesnar by TKO late in the fight. Thoughts?

Just realized my PS3 will be back from the repair shop in time for this game to come out. I hadn't really considered getting it until I read this thread, the previews on IGN, and watched some of the videos. Looks like it will be a good buy. Plus the roster is ENORMOUS!

seeds of rebellion? seeds of rebellion are not only what the country is founded upon but also what Christianity is founded upon! I also never understood the baptists' point of view towards dancing. I have attended Baptist services and find it almost on the very extreme of the Christian denominations. I once went to a Baptist church and the whole thing was like a rock concert. I'm Episcopalian, which is borderline Catholic, but I had never seen anything like this Baptist deal. There was a live band and we sat in auditorium seats. People stood up and and "swayed" with the music and sang. There were drums and *gasp* guitars of the electric variety. Religions can be soooo confusing. By best friend is a Zoroastrian. Good people are good people, MY book.
