I dont believe any of these coaches who interviewed have been made an offer. Their interviews prolly go well, so they really cant say one way or the other. Because they just dont know. At least there has been consistency in this, as we've seen all week.

Man that is too hilarious!! Humility/Honesty rocks too! I suppose I would've had less to drink throughout the games, if the play on the field was better this past year.

Interesting that no one started the buzz about the Buffalo committ in attendance.

In Tuberville's defense, I believe he wants to stay and the fans definitely want him to stay. However, I don't think he ever forgave the university for that whole "jet-gate" deal a couple of years ago when they tried to hire Petrino behind his back without saying anything to Tuberville. Ahhh... gotcha.

Not necessarily so, Junior. Recruiting one class will not get priority over the decision of hiring a head coach to last 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 years. Clock is ticking, but on Tom's watch. He knows what he is doing.

Great article. I can easily envision a pregame chat at midfield between two head coaches, Stoops and Gill. I believe Gill will be great for Nebraska if hired.

Wait a second. It's very logical. There could be a HS junior QB or WR stud in the making that lives out in Buffalo or upstate NY and likes Gill. I dont think the question was about getting the entire team transfered. I can see it becoming possible. Word on the street is, Gill is a pretty good coach and the fans and players love him. Plus, you never know where the diamond comes from until you smash enough coal.

T.O. is not coming back to coach. Ahhh.. In a simple world, that my friend would be fun to watch and enjoy.

No decision made. They have a pretty good feeling who they will hire. Those being TO and maybe a few close friends. The candidates have no clue yet. None of them. Not even their pet sea monkeys.

Gill. That's who I believe it will be. Regardless of all the fuzzy thinking that he would have been hired by now. All these dudes are being interviewed through a very thorough process. After a brief review of all the potential job candidates, a second interview (formality) will come about to discuss the offer and financial part of it, then make it final. Expand on the thinking.

The thought is possible, but as everyone points out numerous Gill threads "it's Buffalo". He will gobble up the NU job in a NY minute. TO has hinted the turnaround here (mess we are facing) will not be overnight. It will take some time. Signs are pointing to the obvious. I think at least.

If all this is true, with Tubs going to Arkansas, makes me shake my head about coaches leaving a good thing for something else. It sets the tone for other coaches to jump ship. Def prefer a loyal guy that isnt all hot air about it, but actually sticks around. Oh well..

Sorry to hear that Wally.. Mine is pushing 11 years old. Getting a little nervous. Looks a lot like this guy, only fatter Yah, it has nothing to do with football or rumors. It's more lounge / BS stuff. But not unlike many of these threads.

I hope they pull one out as well. Even a couple.

I think that is right. Of course, as others have said, Johnson has the Army-Navy game left on Saturday so maybe T.O. is going to interview him next week. Other than that, I don't see why T.O. is out visiting recruits instead of visiting with prospective coaches. Bottom line: It seems logical that it is either Pelini or Johnson. Nothing else seems to make sense. (except for the cloning experiment) Love the Army/Navy game. Always have. I think TO spoke about moving along fairly well with the process and they want to make sure they have everything covered before they make an announcement. (clever word)

HeadCoach: Bob Stoops - I just buy into anything he sells. Just a great motivator & breathes confidence. He also tells it as it is. Doesnt make excuses over and over. Chris Petersen - Great all around coach, players and fans appreciate him, he's classy, and he wins. Turner Gill - His character says the most about him. A teacher beyond the Xs and Os. Honesty & integrity. Defense coach: Trev Alberts, Grant Wistrom, Jared Tomich, Chad Kelsay, Mike Brown: What they say and teach, I would listen and do. Offense coach: Kevin Wilson (OU) - I just think they get the most out of their talent on offense every year. I also really like their game planning. Throw, run, shotgun, spread, read option, you name it. Offense coach: Chris Petersen - Just shy of being brilliant with his offense year after year. Was the OC for 5 years before becoming the coach.

Interesting skers.. I can see how that would make sense. Junior - Isnt part of the problem at Michigan the DC, b/c he cannot stop a spread option game plan? I wouldnt have expected him becoming a HC candidate. But it could be true.

I would think Miles would ask him to work with him at Michigan. It is possible that a new LSU coach might want to keep him too.
