  1. Got a home game this weekend, can watch it and root for the Huskers. Any time I get that chance, it's a little bit of heaven for me.
  2. The issue is being directed to the players performance, which directs criticism away from him. However, if the performance is disappointing as recognized, the coach needs to make a change and put in the players that will play better. Right now, it falls on the coaches and the players they choose to put in the game.
  3. He was tough dude when he played at NU. Him & Kyle Vanden Bosch rocked. And they've been doing good in the NFL. Those were some great DEs.
  4. Chris Kelsay just blocked a Tony Romo pass & then caught it when it came down and scored a TD for the Bills. Man that was a tough DE when he played at Nebraska. Great player from Auburn, NE. NOTE: Romo just threw his 4th INT of the first half.
  5. Easy up a bit fellas.. Keller is trying to say he needs to step it up. To be accountable and do better. There are plenty of mics out there, and not many are saying that about themselves. Everyone needs to step it up.
  6. I hear ya... To me, taking a risk would be to work (especially) Niles Paul, and possibly Meno Holt, & even Wil Henry into the games. Scratch out the 3 to 5 yard check downs as an option. Throw the ball down field to these talented players. Give Castille more chances, more opportunities. He's the guy you want running between the tackles any way. Loosen up some of that control. Give the players a chance to make a play. Have some guts, show some faith in your younger players. Let 'em take a shot over and over. BTW - I'm not much into the trick plays. Even when they work, it's still a trick, a gimmick. But I'm all for taking the risk.
  7. I wish you would adjust the last option and make it simple like the other choices. i.e. the whole team Including the F bomb highlights an emotional anger instead of a different option for the poll.
  8. Totally. Pefectly said. This has to be done.
  9. I dont see a problem with a WCO. Where I do see a problem is the type of WCO that we run. I love the balance attack. Or the choice to move the ball downfield passing or running. I love the foward pass. Would like to see the ball thrown downfield more. Keep the backs in to pick up blitzes or whoever beats the O-line. Next season would be nice to see the offense handed over to the OC, let him tweak the offense, call the plays, tune down the complexity - to where these players can worry less about the precise timing of every play, remove the crazy verbage, and let these players have the chance to play college football and make plays. A crazy idea - but it happens for almost every other team.
  10. Welcome to the board. Hope you enjoy your time in Lincoln. I hope we win, but pointing that out about the Cowboys (what I highlighted in bold) doesnt sit well with me right now since you mentioned it. Lately all streaks we established have been coming to an end. Let's hope for a fair, good game. GBR!
  11. I don't get why so many people continue to not give Daniel any credit. He's one of the top QB's in the country. If you don't see that or like that then you need to just give up on watching football. He is one of the most efficient QB's that I've seen play in quite awhile. Call him 'booger', hate 'Misery' or whatever, the guy is a stud. If you want to argue something, show the facts other than saying "Well he's just not that good". Go ahead. Pull up his numbers from the past two seasons as a starter. Then make your ridiculous comments. Thank you for sticking up for Chase Daniel. Chase is the real deal. I fail to see why knowledgable NU fans can not give credit where credit is due. He is a very good QB in a system that is built for him. Good lord he had 400 yards passing. And this discussion about the fake field goal. Come on. lets go back in history and take a look at some of the scores of previous MU/NU games? You can not tell me MU ran up the score when you can look back to plenty of 40+ point victories NU has had over MU. I am not trying to stir the pot here, but, it was one game. Why the venom? I recognize talent. Chase Daniel IS a very good QB, hands down. He played in this system at Southlake-Carroll in Texas and played lights out on that offense. I knew he would do well in Mizzou's system.

    Dillard

Cool... Is he replacing someone or will the scheme be 3-4?
  13. I still dont agree with the argument of more valuable. When you have 21 guys drafted into pro football from 06 (championship year) and 07, it doesnt sit that well with me. That's what UT had. That's a ton of talent. Plus Limas Sweed was a sophomore, and Jamaal Charles was a freshman. The argument can go either way, we all have our preferences. And that makes it fun. For me - Frazier = three straight National Title Game MVP Awards. Niice.
  14. I saw plenty of VY so I have my own thoughts. Yes he did win a championship for Texas over USC. But dont forget USC had a 4th and 1 and the ego of SCs coach went for it, and theh UT defense stopped them. Reggie Bush wasnt even on the field for that play. So it was a team effort, and VY had a spectacular (60 yard) drive. Prior to that game, VY was miserable in his two losses to OU. He beat them when OU was not at their best. And even throughout that championship season, they almost lost to KState. It wasnt determined he was one of the all-time greatest until after that game against USC. That's three years worth of starting at QB. Frazier on the other hand intimidated other teams. He refused to lose. There was a lot more confidence coming from him that filtered onto his team, more than I saw with VY. I have no doubt in my mind that Frazier was the best college QB ever. I'll never forgot prior to the Florida game during the media days he said that FLa. was a good team, but we are going to do what we do and win the game. Without blinking. Man that dude was tough, a leader & a winner. And for the other question about Mac Brown - the heat was always on that dude. Without Young, still no championship for him. Brown is a gracefull winner, but a miserable loser and points fingers. He gets one of the best recruiting classes every year. They should have been in three championship games by now. That one game was the only one in ten years. He is a good coach, but not a great coach. * My edit = my bad, VY loss to OU & Washington State (Bowl game). He didnt start against OU as a RS Frosh but still played enough to throw 2 INTs including one in the first quarter.
  15. That is too funny!!! "I promise I'll just have one or two" <Background> GO!! GO!! GO!! GO!!
  16. I care. I'm rooting for them as well. I dont think they've loss in like two weeks. They're playing good & are exciting to watch. What would make my World Series : Yankees vs Rockies (and Yankees win).
  17. The season is never over until the last game ends. Maybe those fans feel a little dissappointed that we are not looking like a National Championship contender, and that's why they feel like it's over. Other than I dont get it.
  18. "If you smell what the Rock is cooking".. That dude is pretty cool. Does good movies.
