I thought Callahan did a nice job by throwing quite a bit and taking some chances through the air. Towards the end of the half, when Cally tried to burn out the clock, I thought it was gutsy for Carroll to try to get the ball back. Have to admitt I liked his guts. I hope in the second half that Cally throws the ball 4 times to every run attempt. Huskers are at home. Gotta go all out and take the chances. If we do that - I like our chances. Go Big Red!!!

A lot of one arm tackle attempts tonight. Havent seen the LBs stick anyone, and the secondary looks afraid to make a hit or attempt to tackle anyone. The coverage has been pretty good though. Hope they improve in the second half.

I think home field plays an advantage in that the cheering can feed a players confidence when success is achieved (long drives for TDs, sacks on third down, etc), while it can also beat down on an opponent as things dont go right (i.e., three an outs, interceptions, fumbles). If plays arent made, it's not going to make a lot of difference. Plus you get some of mom's home cooking, relax a little more, and can sleep in your own bed.

Brother Dave, although you are one of the most knowledgeable, level headed people on this board, I just have to say............... huh? Clarification please... Because if you say that you "wouldnt be suprised NU loses by 2 TD's if they lay an egg", well hell... my 6 year-old neice could have guessed that. Would you be more suprised if NU plays up to their capability, USC plays up to theirs and still loses by 2 TD's? And believe it or not that's still only 4 points more than the 10 Vegas Line.
