  1. Front yard or Back yard??? Ok I'm sorry for that one Wow...!!
  2. Hahaha, that was probably more for the Woodshed. Whoops! Chi-chi-chi-CHIA!!
  3. Went on a blind date on time with a women who ended up having one. I like it a little cleaner so there was no second date...!
  4. Sooooo......I'm guessing my plea to the Big XII to trade CU for TCU was denied. Dang you NCAA!
  5. I would NOT eat that deer until the meat was tested.
  6. "Mom...why's dad wearing leather pants?"
  7. Is he the one that does the Hot Pocket spiel? Directions for Hot Pocket: Take out of package. Place directly in toilet.
  8. I haven't heard a whole lot about sullivan. Does anyone have info about what he's up to? Is he going to find his way into the lineup next year?
  9. I like the perspective coming from another similar conference. So, say at some point the NCAA DOES deem it necessary to rework the postseason and how a NC is determined. Wouldn't you think they would have to address the determination of conference champions as well? I think they would either make it a straight line decision across the board of a championship game OR leave an alternative for conferences who play a round-robin style conference schedule (in which EVERY team plays EVERY other opponent). On a bit of a tangent I kind of wish Notre Dame was forced into a conference. They could even out the "Big Ten" and create a championship game such as our own. I know that will never happen, but it's just too obvious that there are glaring flaws with the current system. Tradition and the NCAA are the only two things keeping the current BCS system afloat.
  10. From my understanding, Tom Osborne was never a fan of the Big XII having a championship game when there were other conferences like the Pac-10/Big Ten that did not. The reason being that a championship game lessened the probability that a team would receive a bid to the National Championship game. This discussion hasn't come up as much as the BCS system debate, but does get it's fair share of play. There have been multiple teams that have had their NC opportunity dashed by a loss in the conference championship game. I've been waiting to pose this until after the game was played this year. Was it a benefit to us this year? Year in year out is the championship game a benefit or hindrance to the Huskers? What's your take...
  11. ZT can have a great comeback game if he concentrates on keeping things simple. I don't want him to come out again feeling like he needs to do something extraordinary to win the game. I feel that he was in that frame of mind in the last game and it led to trying to do too much. Just my opinion. I believe he'll have a solid game like he usually does.
  12. Compare this to when Jammal Lord would plant his clown shoes - eyes closed looking up at the sky - body cocked back like the hammer of a revolver and then just launch one like 50 feet into the air for anyone to catch. THAT....was discomfort.
  13. This might be going a little far. A couple of ESPN broadcasters (can't remember who) picked Iowa to win the Big Ten. Corso picked Cal as national champs. Didn't work out so well for them...
  14. Well that sounds good. Does it actually mean anything? We all know about our secondary!
  15. This is true. If you dated a Buffs fan I'd love to watch the reaction to the CU NU game. You'd be throwing throwing remotes and she'd be throw bottles/oranges at you. It might be a better match than you think.
  16. My family has had a cabin on an island in the middle of a lake up near Minocqua, WI (sp?) for my entire life. I was just up there this last summer and when I was younger went up approx. every summer for a couple weeks. Very nice up in that area. Let me know what questions you have. I drove up to Lake Superior this last time I was up which wasn't too far off.
  17. Wow, if he doesn't like prison he's REALLY not going to like hell....
  18. Unless you are the Chicago Bears and score an abnormal amount of points on Special Teams and Defense. I have no idea how they have been able to win their division with such an inconsistent offense. I know that's unrelated to the Huskers but I just had to through that in there. I guess it is relateable in that great teams find ways to win in any fashion necessary (i.e. Bears vs. Cardinals game this year where the Bears 20+ with 0 offensive touchdowns).
  19. To clarify my post... In regards to the ability of a coach to identify and own one's mistakes: This should be a given for a college coach, especially someone like Callahan who has coached at the highest level possible. I believe that he does a good job of this but since we don't sit in on the coach's/team meetings we would never see it. In regards to showing emotion during his weekly postgame show: This is a good sign in my opinion. After following NFL teams and coachs you'll understand that there is a HUGE difference in how coachs handle the media. This is due in large part to the uber-competitive nature of their professional in which they have to maintain a seemingly unbreakable character to survive how brutal the media and fans can be. At the college level, even with the expectations that fans have for the Huskers, it is much more laid back. The fact that BC shows a little more emotion may be a derivative of him adjusting to the college game. Which, IMO, is both a good sign that he is adapting to the environment of college football in Nebraska and gives some tangible evidence of his emotional (not just a financial and career) stake in the success of our team. Either way he is the coach and has the team on the right track at this point. Go Big Red.
  20. OU fans are just as proud of their program as NU fans. I loved seeing all the NU fans out in red in Westport. Absolutely amazing and as someone who lives in KC I wish I could see it more. The only negative I saw from NU fans was when a group started a "f#*k OU" chant. That one did not look very good but for everyone being out (and drinking) I think we represented well. Go Big Red!
