Just happened to watch the movie Friday Night Lights last night, hadn't seen it for awhile. Must be incredible to be a high school football player in Texas. Considering the pressure they deal with at the high school level its no surprise to see them flourish at the college and pro level. They have some serious balling going on down there.

Tiger board consensus. More I looked into it, it looks like a NCAA clearinghouse issue and with how LSU (over)signs kids, they can't take the risk. Could we? Seems like he'd definitely be worth the risk considering that we probably wont get the 26-27 spots in this class filled. If he doesn't qualify the schollie would probably just go to a walk-on anyway.

You can scratch Heard off the list, no chance they both redshirt now. Yeah, question will be, who gets the playing time Newby or Taylor? The most logical would be newby to have a more elusive back, since Taylor seems to be more of a power guy and we already have Cross. Newby fits into Heard's playing capabilities pretty well, if better. Agree, Newby is the obvious choice with Heard leaving, he will definitely get a chance to earn playing time and we're only one injury away from he and Taylor both seeing the field. We should find out pretty quickly how good these guys are.

Just watched his video. This guy is smooth, looks like he runs effortlessly. He'll be a nice addition to the WR corp.

I'd be shocked if most of the nation even knew they played football at Kentucky.

According to his coach: "He's excited about both of them and he should have a final decision sometime later this week," Coach Sissom state.

Actually think we're looking good here that he's ready to announce right after his visit. We were the team to beat going in and he just wanted to make sure, don't think the visit changed things. If he decided to wait till signing day I'd be worried.
