  1. Maybe a little bit of a sentimental pick, but I'd take Abdul Muhhamed on my team any day. Anybody who plays with a bullet lodged in his body is alright in my book!
  2. I'm not sure that BC's phone will be ringing off the hook just yet, but the good thing is that when the NFL is calling it will mean that were back on top!
  3. This is my favorite list yet! Props for including Baron Miles, John Parella, Carlos Polk. They were absolute studs. Throw Trev Alberts and Kenny Walker in their and find Ahman Green some Playing time and I'd mortgage my house to see it!
  4. Yeah hopefully next year somebody will remind BC that you're allowed to throw a forward pass! A healthy Zack Bowman and an improved Andre Jones could make all the difference. SC' s defense will be loaded next year, but their offense will lack playmakers (assuming Jarret goes to the NFL). I'll give us the edge at home!
  5. I agree to certain extent, because I think Boise had better skilled position players at WR and DB than us and thats where were obviously lacking. No doubt Boise had the heart of a champion, but what I also noticed was that they aren't afraid to take chances and open things up. It's like a no fear attitude thay have, granted thay could take chances against OU because nobody expected them to win, but if you watched any of their games you know that they play like that all the time. BC could take a lesson from Chris Peterson. Don't be afraid to leave everything out on the field instead of having to explain yourself later.
  6. I couldn't agree more! They keep getting thrown in against teams that deserve to be their and keep getting humiliated. The only thing better would be if they got blown out by Boise st! Sorry guys, I couldn't help myself with the photo!
  7. Good points! Luckily for the rest of the country their are a limited number of scholorships available. Recruiting was a lot easier when SC was stinking up the place.
  8. I'm with you! Winning is great and all, but if you're one of these 4 and 5 star recruits don't you want to play! You got a guy like Mark Sanchez who was the top QB coming out of high school his year and he probably won't get a chance to start till his senior year. He could be a third year starter just about anywhere else. Hopefully a lot of these guys will come to their senses and head elsewhere so SC can't keep stockpiling all this talent.
  9. I'm also a Husker fan in so cal and I'll be heading to lincoln for the game next year, I can't wait . I went to my first game in Lincoln in 05 (texas tech game). It was an incredible experience. The result wasn't what I was hoping for, but you have to go down there at least once.
  10. Sorry I coudn't help myself!
  11. I couldn't agree more! Although all my buddies are big ND fans for some reason and I love talking smack to them when ND gets embarrased by a team that they have no business being on the same field with! Wow SC, LSU and Boise st all looked really good, wouldn't it be great to a see a playoff!
  12. It's refreshing to listen to people who make sense. Solich's lack of recruiting is the reason that were in this mess. Let's face it the game has changed and the program needed to change with it. Top notch athletes were not interested in playing in an option offense. They want to play in an offense that will prepare themselves for the nexr level! Although I'm baffled by BC's decisions and play calling sometimes, the fact is that he's bringing talented athletes back to the program and it's heading in the right direction. GO BIG RED!
  13. Agreed! And the addition of Niles Paul at WR will make a big difference. I hope he can make an early impact. His speed and athleticism would be a great compliment to "Purifee" (Summerall).
  14. I agree 100%! I think firing Callahan at this point would be a big mistake. He's proven that he can recruit and from what I understand players really like the atmosphere he's created, but there definitely should be some coaching changes at WR and DB because these seem to be our weakest positions and although we don't have the best players at those positions, no one ever seems to improve.
  15. Both announcers were absolutely terrible. I could'nt believe that they dusted off poor Pat Summerall, and that had to be the other guys first game. The whole game felt like a golf match.
  16. I agree, Andre Jones does make a lot of the same mistakes, but luckily for him opposing QB's are usually picking on Grixby!
  17. It couldn't be what he was taught, because the first thing you're taught at CB is that when the receiver looks back, you look back! It must be instincts, not everybody has them.
  18. I would have loved to get some clarification from the announcers, but I'm pretty sure Summerall was taking a nap at the time!
  19. I understand your frustration!
  20. Grixby is the most frustrating player I have ever seen, not only does he not turn around, but he also refuses to even put his hands up. I pray that Zack Bowman is able to come back healthy next year so I only have to see him on the sidelines where he belongs!
  21. I won't be too hard on Zac Taylor, because I actually think he did a great job this year. Sure he had some passes that were off target, but you have to admit that he had a lot of dropped balls on well thrown passes, receivers who can't get open or create much separation, a non existant TE position, inconsistant pass protection and a coach who's play calling is down right baffling at times.
  22. I couldn't have said it better myself! It's obvious that we desperately need a playmaker at WR. I'm hoping that Niles Paul will make a big impact next year, he should be good compliment to Purify.
  23. I agree with you all. I really think that we are a couple of playmakers away from being a legit championship contender. I definitely think the program is heading in the right direction. If we can replace our front four next year and with the addition of Niles Pual and the hopeful return of Zack Bowman, there is no reason why we shouldn't be competing for a national championship next year. GO BIG RED!
  24. I know these guys didn't have that much to do with this loss, but am I the only person who can't wait for Terrence Nunn and Courtney Grixby to go away! I don't think they would start for too many other D1 programs, but yet I have to watch them drop passes and get burned every game. Don't get me wrong, I love this program and will always support it, but don't you agree that there are players that you just can't wait to get rid of!
