  1. How would you like to be the **** frat boys that were probablly the cause of it.I personally wouldn't.
  2. At ,on average $5 or $6 apiece, you are talking a cool $1/4 million at least.Plus the concessions were making a killing with all the kids.
  3. If you are comparing Bo to Barret, you are loseing all credability!
  4. Ya, how did he get picked for any watch list.IMO, whether he or we will admit it, most of his noteriety is from Big Bro, and his name. In regard to remembering interceptions, and in regard to remembering him making big plays,I also remember him looking for a place to fall down, because he was too gassed to finish a return run. I've said it, and I'll stand by my opinion that although he is being picked to any preseason watch lists, he is at best, the 3rd best linebacker on the team, and probablly not that high, if Dillard is back to 100%. Travis9, I just wanted to deflect some of the heat you recieved for your opinion to me. LOL
  5. Bigrediowan, if you are a good cop, I salute you for your service. The problem is that almost everyone has a story about being jerked around by an officer on a power trip.I know the Norfolk area well, and some of their men in blue aren't much more than wet behind the ears kids, yet with their military haircuts and sunglasses on, they think they can power trip people, and we all know better than to complain about it to anyone, or pursue your complaint legally. I hope I'm in the minority with my frustration (nicest word I could think of) but I doubt it.
  6. Do the crime,do the time! Hope you meet a nice boyfreind in you next home. I enjoyed a little herb in my day, like most of us, but this goes beyond recreational use.
  7. Bottom line is fundraising. Supporters can let their wallets do their talking. It will and is getting heard.
  8. Ganz could be a Gerry Gadowski type, but Montana was better in college.
  9. I'm pretty sure that the snipers would get you before you got to the field if you tried that now. Here's a funny non related story. I grew up in a small Nebraska community pop. 632. As I believe a 7th grader in the early 70's we were all supposed to take hunter safety. Our Voc Ag instructor was the coarse instructor. He requested that everyone bring their gun to school so we could practice safe gun handling.I actually lived in the country, so I rode the 'yellow school bus' everyday. Well the day we were to bring our guns, I walked out to the end of our farm driveway to get on the bus with my Model 12 Winchester 12 gauge pump. When the bus arived, the bus driver opens the door and lets me in, but tells me that I should leave the gun up by him until we get to school.I'm like ya, ok! There were several other boys on the bus, who did the same thing. When we got to school, we were given our guns, and we took them into the Ag room, and left them there till the class later in the day. Then, that afternoon, we took them back home again on the bus. True Story ! Times have changed a bit since then.
  10. That's not it.It was a complete article that tells about how the Athletic offices are locked down like Fort Knox.He used as a contrary example, how he can get access to Perlman, or a state senator, or the governer much easier. Shatel is a TOOL, but I think he got this right.
  11. I have no problem with both Sam and Joe being at a level of competency where they are interchangable. There might be days where we'll need them both. Remember the Berringer/Frazier season? Without both of them, plus the Turminator, that season has a different ending!
  12. Can anyone help with a link? I read it in the Tuesday outstate AM edition of the OWH, while in Norfolk.
  13. Let me begin, by saying I think Shatel is an absolute idiot, who really knows pretty little about NU sports, and as an outsider probablly never will.On the other hand, this article, probablly by accident, really showed what Pederson has/is doing to NU sports. I honestly dont think I could be in SP's presence without getting in his face.Hopefully, that is all I'd do,is staighten his sh.. out about a few things. The fact that one man has gotten to a point where he has no accountability, is pretty stunning. He has become a one man hiring and firing czar. WTF, why not allow Joe Husker to at least feel like he's still part of things, by allowing a little access to the everyday part of things. At least by Shatel's account, that isn't happening anywhere else in college football, and nowhere in the State Government of Nebraska. Again, WTF!!!
  14. Bo Ruud is at best, the third or forth best linebacker on last years team, and barely makes the top three going into next year (until Dillard passes him). Sorry, but I dont need to read a rivals expert oppinion to know that.
  15. Maybe LP could star in the next 'Longest Yard' movie!
  16. I say wait and let Sam Keller tear up the Big 12 this year, and once that happens, A Clausen/Mallet type will see NU as his ticket to the NFL. If this Simms isn't as good as Dad or Bro, he must not be very good, because neither of them was Husker material either.
  17. You could put together a pretty decent punkin ball team off of our football roster. Isnt Mo Purify a player? ...Meno?
  18. Norvell just might eventually parlay this move into a HC position there if he plays his cards right!
  19. Is LP still locked up? If not, you guys playing flag football are taking your lives in your hands! Be ever watchfull !
  20. If I had to guess, i'd bet there was a woman involved.
  21. How good will their secondary be? Will it be the 'coming out party' for Keller that puts us in the news prior to the Trojans coming to town.
  22. I think people see that Ruud gets more PT than he deserves because of his family ties to the historical Nebraska program. It's a fact, and I believe BC needs to get to a point where he looks past that. Now in BC's defense, with the injuries we've had the last couple years at the linebacker position, sometimes the decisions were made for him.
  23. There are some pretty noninvasive, or minor knee surgeries.I know a Husker wrestler who tore his miniscus the first time out this year.He had his knee scoped, and rehabbed about 3 weeks, and is back to speed already. He will wrestle at National Duals this weekend. In fact, there are two wrestlers on the team, that have had surgeries this season, and are wrestling again, and 1 that had a serious ACL injury and now is done for the year, so it really depends on the injury. I would think it would be way tougher to wrestle after a knee scope than to play football. Even if Lee's injury and surgery was serious, fall camp and playing next year wouldn't be impossible.
  24. Dont get your hopes up, this kid will never see the field at NU.He is pretty much a wus. He wasn't even the best lineman on his team. Soft, overhyped, etc. There is no way they offered this kid! More a D3 or state college type player.
