  1. so a baffling, punchless play call on offense and getting pushed around and out of position on defense. THE SEASON HAS TRULY BEGUN Y'ALL WELCOME BACK NEBRASKA FOOTBALL
  2. RED STORM HERE TO HIT YA WITH A SLOW DEVELOPING STRETCH PLAY ON FOURTH AND ONE TIMBECKTIMBECKTIMBECKTIMBECKTIMBECKTIMBECKTIMBECKTIMBECK
  3. guys i think we've got something special going with the prayer this year. that's two weeks in a row no one's screwed it up.
  4. image.jpg we used to post this image constantly and I have no idea why:
  5. Link This is obviously ridiculous, but if we're going to mock it I guess that means we are retiring the "Michigan St wasn't better than Nebraska, if we don't turn the ball over five times, they don't capitalize on our mistakes and win" chestnut. if the game would've been completely different we would've won
  6. A breakdown of Miami's losing effort against Louisville, by a former Cane: http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2014/9/4/6105923/phillip-buchanon-miami-twitter "That bs that our football team is doing is not working."
  7. I'd take McNeese over FAU. Sagarin has them at 106 and FAU at 125, and McNeese is #6 in the FCS rankings. They beat South Florida 53-21 (!) last season and got a first round playoff bye (though they lost to Jacksonville State).
  8. The FEI rankings. Nebraska moved from 44 to 30: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ncaa2014 (like Sagarin, these get more complete as the season progresses and more data becomes available.)
  9. Any national attention that doesn't focus on Nebraska getting blown out, Bo blowing up on the sidelines, or that effing cat is good attention.
  10. we're number eight in this one: http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2014/9/3/6095285/terrible-college-football-rankings
  11. good thing none of these rankings matter a lick anymore, eh?
  12. lest we forget, the 2007 team started by beating Nevada 52-10.
  13. http://www.californiagoldenblogs.com/cal-vs-northwestern-2014/2014/9/1/6095279/pat-fitzgerald-luke-rubenzer-cal-northwestern-2014 "Unbelievable job by their bloggers and beat writers — lesson learned — not reporting that throughout all of camp because they did a great job with the element of surprise." oh buddy.
  14. the media jackasses are probably more qualified than the coaches, i'd wager.
  15. Case in point, he has Florida at 17. I like Sagarin because he only factors in wins/losses/schedule strength and nothing else, and I also like FEI because it factors in only on-field performance and not wins/losses at all. Looking forward to when those come out.
