  1. Being a KU student and watching my beloved Huskers get murdered last year was one of the toughest saturdays of my life!!! I can tell you for a fact that KU will be good this year if Todd Reesing can manage to stay out of the Lawrence Bars. I was on Mass St after the KU Basketball National Championship game and once again ran into Mr. Reesing drunker than balls basically crawling for his life down the sidewalk. It was a time for celebration, but he should leave that to guys like me if they plan on making noise like they did last year! Im a Husker 4 Life, but our defense has a long way to go! Bo is the man to bring us back though. And Tom needs to get them in the weight room (or put them all on steroids) like the old days when we used to scare the piss out of our opponents! Cant wait for this season to start, The North will be an even more competitive division this year with Colorado picking up speed! Iowa States defense showed flashes of life last year as well. The Pussie Cats in Manhattan will continue to move backward (hopefully). Its going to be an interesting year for sure.
  2. Western Michigan 100% San Jose State 100% New Mexico State 97% Virginia Tech 75% Missouri 40% at Texas Tech 50% at Iowa State 85% Baylor 90% at Oklahoma 50% Colorado did it last year (at home of course) but who knows. Sloppy weather could help! Kansas 75% I go to KU and know that Talib and Collins will be a huge loss. Reesing is an alcoholic so that helps us too! at Kansas State 80% Freeman will get his sh#t tossed once again! GBR Colorado 75% Getting better but its a rivalry game on our turf with some cold weather!! Count it Big 12 Championship IF WE MAKE IT- WHERE IS IT PLAYED? Hopefully not SA again. Bring it back to KC in the elements! 11-1 or 10-2 BO wins Coach of the Year!!!
  3. I agree. Beating 3 non conference bowl teams is quite a feat. Regardless of the ranking, we would be the most feared team in the nation at that point and in my book, that is as good as number 1
  4. I really have to disagree with Daniel being a better QB. He runs a damn spread offense and sits back with enough time to unload the ball before anyone can lay a hand on him. Hes a product of the system, similar to any texas tech QB (insert name here ______)
  5. My name is Sam and I work for Sprint in Overland Park, Kansas. Recently as a center incentive I was given two tickets to the September 30th Kansas 400 at the Kansas Speedway. Along with the two tickets (which are most likely very good seats seeing as how the section is only Sprint affiliated people) there are also passes to the Courtesy Tent that will have "all you can eat, all you can drink (booze of course!)" These tickets on EBay are going for around $600 as of right now and I dont really give a damn about going. I will probley sell them but if someone wants to make a swap for some tickets to this years USC NU game in Lincoln I would be in heaven! ANYONE LIKE NASCAR ENOUGH TRADE THIER HUSKER TICKETS????? Let me know, my phone number is 913-226-7716 call anytime
  6. All i have to say is Congratulations Rutgers!!! That game and the electric atmosphere afterwards is the reason I eat, sleep, and bleed college football. Bring on the PLAYOFF. Also if Rutgers wins out, RAY RICE FOR HEISMAN. That guy is a work horse and doesnt get the props he deserves. Sorry for the random comments and nothing concerning our Huskers but it looks bleek this weekend. Honestly, we should blow Colorado out of the water, but hopefully we have not (in our heads) considered ourselves North Champs yet. When and If we do head to KC, ill be there for sure! Anyone putting together a HuskerBoard Tailgate if we go??? Let the group know whats up if anyone has put anything together yet.
  7. NO FREAKIN TURNOVERS. SOMEBODY TELL OUR RUNNING BACKS TO HOLD ONTO THE BALL!!!!!!! That retarded play by Lucky and Taylor agains SC made me sick to my stomach, if we pull that bullsh#t: Final Score Texas 42-17
  8. THUNDER COLLINS, thats a blast from the past, i forgot what he did, anyone know? I do like the Bear Bryant quote up there, i have a quote of my own but this seems like a fairly clean site so ill keep that one to myself. Thugs will be Thugs, but Thugs bring home golden trophys and awards, whether they win them or steal them, who cares
  9. Should the Posts come down if we win: Most Definately, we have been struggling tremendously these past few years and for people like myself that are Husker fans out of the state of Nebraska, everyone wants to throw dirt on you for Nebraska having a down couple of years. Tearing down the posts would let the country know that we are back by letting our crazy fans let loose the pinned up frustrations. Will we win: I am just as huge a fan as all of you. My week is ruined when they lose, but if Colt McCoy gets over the loud noise, then the size of thier recievers will cause us fits. This is basically the USC game all over again, just in our stadium and us playing against better running backs than recievers. Texas has a huge D Line and if Cally continues to call sh**ty games (attempting to not get blown out) then we of course are screwed. Biggest Game in Years and I really have no idea who is going to win it. The story line is great. The game should be great. Let us pray.........
  10. There is nothing i love more than to see Oklahoma suffer but the fact that Adrian Peterson is pretty much a lemon is tough for me to watch as a fan of college football, with all that potential he had to putting up huge numbers this year its a shame to see him go down. Kinda like Michael Bush from Louisville, same outcome. Did anyone watch this game? I was too busy Pre gaming for the 'Skers game that i didnt see the injury, I saw that Oklahoma was winning the game. Was his injury on an uneeded show boat dive into the endzone or did he have to dive to score the points? I need some clarification from someone who watched it or saw the replay! By the way, conservative calling by Bill C was annoying but sitting in a popular Manhattan Bar (Kite's) surrounded by Loud ass Husker fans was a sight to see. The wildcat fans just shut thier mouths. An entire side of this bar was red, im thinking 25 -30 of us and that doesnt count the red scattered around the rest of the bar. Way to go everyone who made the trek. Lets get it bumpin for Texas this week and tame the horns!!
  11. The Chiefs are my life after Huskers so i was pretty dissapointed to see that, especially after the bad ass run he had, Thug U is right!!! I was really rooting for the judicial system to screw over Sean Taylor pack when he put a gun to some guys head, but oh well, he has learned his lesson im sure, nothing wrong with spitting in players faces, helmet to helmet hits, or ditching practices and training camps
  12. :clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap :steam I need some troops with me on Saturday or its gonna look something like that
  13. I will be in Manhattan in Aggieville at most likely Kite's (the only thing i like about Manhattan ;Good Food, Flat Screens everywhere) and I will be decked out in Red. This could cause the 3 toothed locals to get a little riled up so I may need some fellow Huskers there to knock some people out if need be!! Anyone down to get smashed and scream at purple people?
  14. That has to be one of the most embarrasing Wins I have had to deal with!! For as much sh#t as i talked this week, We really didnt show up for 4 quarters, great first quarter, horrible rest of the game! Still made money on the game but was not a proud Husker on Saturday
  15. So you go to KU huh? Are you saying I can't support my football team now? I've been going to KU games since I was 6 years old. Back in the late 80's. Sorry I like more than just KU basketball. That's the problem with alot of students at KU. They only care about basketball. That trend is finally starting to change, and it has to for a program like KU to keep up with the Texas's and OU's in the Big 12. Sorry, I'm not a bandwagon loser like the majority of KSU fans who jumped on board the Snyder express, but still likes KU in basketball. That is just lame. I will continue to cheer for KU football proudly. Yes. We are playing for a 8 win season. But I remember just 5 years ago wanting to score a touchdown in just a game! We were that bad!!!! What Mangino has done is upgraded our talent and instilled a will to win in our program that we haven't had since the Mason era. Terry Allen completely destroyed our football program. Mangino has been picking up the pieces ever since. So I never just came out of the woodwork or whatever your trying to prove. And yes, I'm going to run my mouth a little. It's not every year that KU beats NU in football. I deserve that right. But you can't bash KU football from where it was 5 years ago to where it is today. It is truly a night and day difference. Maybe you should consider enrolling at Nebraska. Your probably one of those guys on campus that is a die hard KU basketball fan, but loves Nebraska football. Your points are valid, but quick question, what other time in your LIFETIME did KU beat Nebraska? Im glad you got to see that 1 time. And I cheer for KU Basketball but never would argue with anyone in their defense, the football team has a better chance of winning a big game than they do! Thats a joke but my allegiance is to Nebraska Football and thats it, the rest is just something to pass the time till football season starts again. I go to KU so i go to the football and basketball games occasionally. There are a lot of people that flip flop like you say and I laugh at those people and it sounds like you do as well (KSU being the majority of the crowd). Im TRUE NU and your TRUE KU, from your knowledge it sounds like you are, but what it comes down to is that A SEA OF RED will be your best player any day. Going in to Lincoln and winning is not an easy task and with the young players KU has, its flat out going to be a long day for them. The answer to your question is no. I was born in 80. I'm not debating that. But we won last year, and have improved against NU each year since Mangino arrived....so I think I have the right to be optimistic as well. If you read my post you will see I say KU can win and has a chance. All I want people to do on this forum is give KU some respect. Saying the score will be 42-7 is not showing respect, and is not going to happen. Husker nation needs to wake up and realize they are not getting the recruits they got in the 90's. That is all i'm saying. You are right, the sea of red will make it hard. But the games are not played by vegas or on paper. Anything can happen. Just last night BYU beat TCU (a 19 point favorite) at their stadium. Anything can happen. That is a true story but a crowd full of purple is only intimidating if you are homophobic (ie K-State, TCU, NWestern, ......) anyhow i will agree KU is becoming a better team as the years go but Nebraskas recruits are always going to be better than the Jayhawks recruits, If you were a recruit and you had a chance to start at both schools you know you would be heading straight to Lincoln (better fan base, better history, better chance at the pros, etc etc etc) Good Luck on Saturday, put your money on Nebraska to cover
  16. KU has as good of a chance of beating us as Mangino does of finding his c**k to take a piss

  18. I think that it is hilarious that this KU clown is in here running his mouth. I go to KU and have never met anyone who even cares about football, they just say "who cares about football, we will show you up in Basketball". Yes KU beat us once in 36 years, you all do deserve a trophy for that but seriously, I go to KU and if people around there started acting like this guy i would have to transfer cause it would be too much like being at K-State. Dealing with fans that come out of the woodwork only after a big win is the most annoying thing ever, The only thing i can say about KU Football is that, well you guys were good about 13 years ago. We win demand championships, you all demand a 6 win seasons. Keep living that win up buddy cause it will be another 30 years before it happens again! GBR NU-42 KU-17?MAYBE
  19. Too many running backs on the team, he will move to a defensive posistion and callahan will bring in a young bad ass, redshirt him behind Lucky and Glenn, then we will have a RB of the future who will work behind Lucky and Glenn for a year after his red shirt. At the same time, we will be bringing up a QB of the future (one that wont bitch out like Beck) and he and our running back will look similar to the Hart Henne combo up in michigan
  20. As much as I love having three running backs, this is not going to go on for much longer, all three of these guys want to play, and they want to play now. Zac Taylor is a QB who just wants to win so he will stand back and let Callahan tell him what he needs to do for his part to get us in position to win, but with three running backs foaming at the mouth for carries someone is gonna have to bite the bullet and switch positions next year. Sam Keller is obviously out for an NFL career and throwing the ball in a big game like USC only 16 times isnt gonna make him happy and you know Callahan got down on his knees and begged Keller to come to Lincoln! (especially once Beck skipped town!!!) And im sure Kellers decision has something to do with the fact that he will get one last chance to take down USC when they visit Lincoln next year!! I see Wilson making a posistion change for the good of the team, there is no reason that he could not get a few carries here and there but let him hit the weight room and stick him on Defense and let him take aggression out on the opponent. Any one here much about Keller yet??? Im interested to see if hes making the transition smoothly, no disrespect to Nebraska females but coming from ASU, he left some extremely beautiful ladies behind him!!!
  21. We had our tail between our legs from the second quarter on. Going into a game talking as much crap as we did and then showing up with the game plan of not getting destroyed, thats not Nebraska mentality. It shows that even though we have made steps in the right direction as far as putting up points, we have taken a step back as far as confidence. I think we could have made it a very close game. Taylor in his last season with a chance of being a middle round draft pick next year just watched his stock plummet due to the gutless play calling we had on a huge stage. We better pull out all the stops this week, a bit worried about this Troy team though. Ran with FSU and showed they can go into a hostile crowd and hang with an elite team. Whats the word? (and yeah FSU looks like sh#t this year but athleticly they are one of the top 10 every year)
  22. If.......key word....especially after the other night... The Huskers make the Big 12 championship I think a huge tailgate is in order!!! I go to KU and my mother lives in Overland Park, which is about 20 min from Arrowhead. I go out there to tailgate for sporting events all the time and would love to tailgate for the Husker game, it will definately be a sea of red and a huge tailgate would get the fire started before the game starts If anyone is interested please let me know so that i can start to get arrangements taken care of for Location, Beer, Tints, Food, Beer and everything else. If anyone has any other ideas throw'em out there, this could be huge if we make it huge! Oh yeah and we need to smack the hell out of the longhorns!!
  23. I really dont care who they throw in there to announce the game as long as it isnt that bumbling old man Lou Holtz, If he were my grandpa then i would kick my dad for ever introducing me to his retarded a$$. Honestly its a complete show of pity by ESPN putting him in there to throw in a comment everyonce in a while Dont old ass retired people just play golf all day before they go play bridge that night with the rest of the old folks?? Nothing against old people, my grandpa is the best. The guy used to fly bombers in WWII and he still claims he can fly the planes iF the army called him into duty, THE GUYS 86 YEARS OLD, WALKS WITH A LIMP, AND HAS HORRIBLE EYE SIGHT!!! DID I MENTION HES A HUSKER!!!! THROW ONE BACK FOR ME MEN DOES IT FEEL LIKE CHRISTMAS TO ANYONE ELSE, IM JUST HOPING WE DONT ALL GET A LUMP OF COAL!!! <------------ I CANNOT STOP LAUGHIN AT THIS THING!!!!!
  24. Restoring the Order is vital. This by far is the most i have ever looked forward to a Husker game! I went to the orange bowl in 94 and what a game that was, (RIP Brook Berringer) but taking on the underdog role we have now, and the current state of the team/coaching staff/state of nebraska, this win would rank up there as probley one of the biggest in school history! Predictions: 1 Booty gets K.O.ed (His back is probley still injured) 2 Dirty Sanchez comes in and cant handle the pressure 3 We Blitz the sh#t out of them 4 Low scoring game similar to Texas-Ohio St game (NU 24 USC 17) 5 Taylor 15-23-207 2-1 Lets Put that Trojan Horse out to pasture Side Note: As a new member of this site I need to let you all know that I am a student at KU but raised die hard Big Red since birth. My whole family is from or lived in Nebraska at one time. First ever game attended was the 94 championship in Miami and it was truly a magical experience. THERE IS TOO MUCH TO TELL ALL OF YOU BUT YOULL HEAR YAPPIN FROM ME ALL SEASON, BUT I DO LIKE TO END MY POSTS WITH A HUSKER "MOMENT" IN MY LIFE: After a long night of drinking in Manhattan, Kansas (The Rotten Apple) with my girlfriend who attends that worthless university, I sprinted to her living room as soon as I picked my self up out of bed. After turning on the TV i realize that i almost missed kick-off! After a couple hours of screaming at the TV it came down to the wire. You all know the ending (SIT DOWN, LAY DOWN, SIT ON IT etc). Three feet in front of the TV and in the fetal position pounding the ground and screaming curse words loud enough you could hear em in Lincoln, Tears started to stream down my face. I will admit that there are certain situations when its ok for men to cry but that day I truly felt the definition of a heart-breaking loss. As I was lying there on the ground i heard the chuckling, followed by the nebraska sucks chant from my black-hearted girlfriend. She then started clowning me for being teary eyed and thats when i lost it. I then went on a tirade that is too explicit and disrespectful for me to post on this site but please believe me when i tell you that she shut her damn mouth for the rest of the season. Rule #1- DO NOT MESS WITH A HUSKER FAN AFTER A LOSS, its similar to waking a hybernating bear up from his winter nap. Estimated Alcohol Consumption for myself on Saturday: 5 Miller Lites Pre Game 10 shots Jim Beam during the Game NU Wins: A bottle of Andre Champaign NU Losses: Finishing Bottle of Beam Touchdown Dreams to all tonite, tommaro is going to be incredible
