  1. Being a KU student and watching my beloved Huskers get murdered last year was one of the toughest saturdays of my life!!! I can tell you for a fact that KU will be good this year if Todd Reesing can manage to stay out of the Lawrence Bars. I was on Mass St after the KU Basketball National Championship game and once again ran into Mr. Reesing drunker than balls basically crawling for his life down the sidewalk. It was a time for celebration, but he should leave that to guys like me if they plan on making noise like they did last year! Im a Husker 4 Life, but our defense has a long way to go! Bo is the man to bring us back though. And Tom needs to get them in the weight room (or put them all on steroids) like the old days when we used to scare the piss out of our opponents! Cant wait for this season to start, The North will be an even more competitive division this year with Colorado picking up speed! Iowa States defense showed flashes of life last year as well. The Pussie Cats in Manhattan will continue to move backward (hopefully). Its going to be an interesting year for sure.
  2. Western Michigan 100% San Jose State 100% New Mexico State 97% Virginia Tech 75% Missouri 40% at Texas Tech 50% at Iowa State 85% Baylor 90% at Oklahoma 50% Colorado did it last year (at home of course) but who knows. Sloppy weather could help! Kansas 75% I go to KU and know that Talib and Collins will be a huge loss. Reesing is an alcoholic so that helps us too! at Kansas State 80% Freeman will get his sh#t tossed once again! GBR Colorado 75% Getting better but its a rivalry game on our turf with some cold weather!! Count it Big 12 Championship IF WE MAKE IT- WHERE IS IT PLAYED? Hopefully not SA again. Bring it back to KC in the elements! 11-1 or 10-2 BO wins Coach of the Year!!!
  3. I agree. Beating 3 non conference bowl teams is quite a feat. Regardless of the ranking, we would be the most feared team in the nation at that point and in my book, that is as good as number 1
  4. I really have to disagree with Daniel being a better QB. He runs a damn spread offense and sits back with enough time to unload the ball before anyone can lay a hand on him. Hes a product of the system, similar to any texas tech QB (insert name here ______)
  5. My name is Sam and I work for Sprint in Overland Park, Kansas. Recently as a center incentive I was given two tickets to the September 30th Kansas 400 at the Kansas Speedway. Along with the two tickets (which are most likely very good seats seeing as how the section is only Sprint affiliated people) there are also passes to the Courtesy Tent that will have "all you can eat, all you can drink (booze of course!)" These tickets on EBay are going for around $600 as of right now and I dont really give a damn about going. I will probley sell them but if someone wants to make a swap for some tickets to this years USC NU game in Lincoln I would be in heaven! ANYONE LIKE NASCAR ENOUGH TRADE THIER HUSKER TICKETS????? Let me know, my phone number is 913-226-7716 call anytime
  6. All i have to say is Congratulations Rutgers!!! That game and the electric atmosphere afterwards is the reason I eat, sleep, and bleed college football. Bring on the PLAYOFF. Also if Rutgers wins out, RAY RICE FOR HEISMAN. That guy is a work horse and doesnt get the props he deserves. Sorry for the random comments and nothing concerning our Huskers but it looks bleek this weekend. Honestly, we should blow Colorado out of the water, but hopefully we have not (in our heads) considered ourselves North Champs yet. When and If we do head to KC, ill be there for sure! Anyone putting together a HuskerBoard Tailgate if we go??? Let the group know whats up if anyone has put anything together yet.
  7. NO FREAKIN TURNOVERS. SOMEBODY TELL OUR RUNNING BACKS TO HOLD ONTO THE BALL!!!!!!! That retarded play by Lucky and Taylor agains SC made me sick to my stomach, if we pull that bullsh#t: Final Score Texas 42-17
  8. THUNDER COLLINS, thats a blast from the past, i forgot what he did, anyone know? I do like the Bear Bryant quote up there, i have a quote of my own but this seems like a fairly clean site so ill keep that one to myself. Thugs will be Thugs, but Thugs bring home golden trophys and awards, whether they win them or steal them, who cares
  9. Should the Posts come down if we win: Most Definately, we have been struggling tremendously these past few years and for people like myself that are Husker fans out of the state of Nebraska, everyone wants to throw dirt on you for Nebraska having a down couple of years. Tearing down the posts would let the country know that we are back by letting our crazy fans let loose the pinned up frustrations. Will we win: I am just as huge a fan as all of you. My week is ruined when they lose, but if Colt McCoy gets over the loud noise, then the size of thier recievers will cause us fits. This is basically the USC game all over again, just in our stadium and us playing against better running backs than recievers. Texas has a huge D Line and if Cally continues to call sh**ty games (attempting to not get blown out) then we of course are screwed. Biggest Game in Years and I really have no idea who is going to win it. The story line is great. The game should be great. Let us pray.........
  10. There is nothing i love more than to see Oklahoma suffer but the fact that Adrian Peterson is pretty much a lemon is tough for me to watch as a fan of college football, with all that potential he had to putting up huge numbers this year its a shame to see him go down. Kinda like Michael Bush from Louisville, same outcome. Did anyone watch this game? I was too busy Pre gaming for the 'Skers game that i didnt see the injury, I saw that Oklahoma was winning the game. Was his injury on an uneeded show boat dive into the endzone or did he have to dive to score the points? I need some clarification from someone who watched it or saw the replay! By the way, conservative calling by Bill C was annoying but sitting in a popular Manhattan Bar (Kite's) surrounded by Loud ass Husker fans was a sight to see. The wildcat fans just shut thier mouths. An entire side of this bar was red, im thinking 25 -30 of us and that doesnt count the red scattered around the rest of the bar. Way to go everyone who made the trek. Lets get it bumpin for Texas this week and tame the horns!!
  11. The Chiefs are my life after Huskers so i was pretty dissapointed to see that, especially after the bad ass run he had, Thug U is right!!! I was really rooting for the judicial system to screw over Sean Taylor pack when he put a gun to some guys head, but oh well, he has learned his lesson im sure, nothing wrong with spitting in players faces, helmet to helmet hits, or ditching practices and training camps
  12. :clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap :steam I need some troops with me on Saturday or its gonna look something like that
  13. I will be in Manhattan in Aggieville at most likely Kite's (the only thing i like about Manhattan ;Good Food, Flat Screens everywhere) and I will be decked out in Red. This could cause the 3 toothed locals to get a little riled up so I may need some fellow Huskers there to knock some people out if need be!! Anyone down to get smashed and scream at purple people?
  14. That has to be one of the most embarrasing Wins I have had to deal with!! For as much sh#t as i talked this week, We really didnt show up for 4 quarters, great first quarter, horrible rest of the game! Still made money on the game but was not a proud Husker on Saturday
  15. So you go to KU huh? Are you saying I can't support my football team now? I've been going to KU games since I was 6 years old. Back in the late 80's. Sorry I like more than just KU basketball. That's the problem with alot of students at KU. They only care about basketball. That trend is finally starting to change, and it has to for a program like KU to keep up with the Texas's and OU's in the Big 12. Sorry, I'm not a bandwagon loser like the majority of KSU fans who jumped on board the Snyder express, but still likes KU in basketball. That is just lame. I will continue to cheer for KU football proudly. Yes. We are playing for a 8 win season. But I remember just 5 years ago wanting to score a touchdown in just a game! We were that bad!!!! What Mangino has done is upgraded our talent and instilled a will to win in our program that we haven't had since the Mason era. Terry Allen completely destroyed our football program. Mangino has been picking up the pieces ever since. So I never just came out of the woodwork or whatever your trying to prove. And yes, I'm going to run my mouth a little. It's not every year that KU beats NU in football. I deserve that right. But you can't bash KU football from where it was 5 years ago to where it is today. It is truly a night and day difference. Maybe you should consider enrolling at Nebraska. Your probably one of those guys on campus that is a die hard KU basketball fan, but loves Nebraska football. Your points are valid, but quick question, what other time in your LIFETIME did KU beat Nebraska? Im glad you got to see that 1 time. And I cheer for KU Basketball but never would argue with anyone in their defense, the football team has a better chance of winning a big game than they do! Thats a joke but my allegiance is to Nebraska Football and thats it, the rest is just something to pass the time till football season starts again. I go to KU so i go to the football and basketball games occasionally. There are a lot of people that flip flop like you say and I laugh at those people and it sounds like you do as well (KSU being the majority of the crowd). Im TRUE NU and your TRUE KU, from your knowledge it sounds like you are, but what it comes down to is that A SEA OF RED will be your best player any day. Going in to Lincoln and winning is not an easy task and with the young players KU has, its flat out going to be a long day for them. The answer to your question is no. I was born in 80. I'm not debating that. But we won last year, and have improved against NU each year since Mangino arrived....so I think I have the right to be optimistic as well. If you read my post you will see I say KU can win and has a chance. All I want people to do on this forum is give KU some respect. Saying the score will be 42-7 is not showing respect, and is not going to happen. Husker nation needs to wake up and realize they are not getting the recruits they got in the 90's. That is all i'm saying. You are right, the sea of red will make it hard. But the games are not played by vegas or on paper. Anything can happen. Just last night BYU beat TCU (a 19 point favorite) at their stadium. Anything can happen. That is a true story but a crowd full of purple is only intimidating if you are homophobic (ie K-State, TCU, NWestern, ......) anyhow i will agree KU is becoming a better team as the years go but Nebraskas recruits are always going to be better than the Jayhawks recruits, If you were a recruit and you had a chance to start at both schools you know you would be heading straight to Lincoln (better fan base, better history, better chance at the pros, etc etc etc) Good Luck on Saturday, put your money on Nebraska to cover
