  1. Good thread. If Enunwa or Bell show they can play WR in the spring, then I expect one of them to see the field. I expect Yoshi and Lavonte also to see time. Not sure what to make of Chase Harper and where he fits for playing time. I think we might also see Cooper. Maybe Marsh on ST. Perhaps Rome or Guy make depth at DT...spring will tell. I would be very surprised to see Carnes not redshirt. I also sense Heard is a redshirt.
  2. Offense: I think Bell may be earliest to see the field. Also Yoshi too. Excited longer term for Heard and Harper. Very glad to have Carnes. Defense: Coooooooop, Rome, and Guy. Ashburn is a good sleeper pick IMO.
  3. Welcome, Lavonte! I am really interested to see what you can do.
  4. Welcome, Corey! Love the hat...time to crack some skulls and throw da bones! :bonez
  5. Marsh reminds me of Mason Wald...hopefully he stays 4 years...I think Marsh can be solid in our system.
  6. That is what I want...kids that want to play for it all! Carnes has good potential...be great to see how he progresses at NU but love that we got our QB for this class. Welcome, Brion!
  7. Bo never lets me down. You can't be much more straightforward than he was with that statement. No wonder we Nebraskans like the guy so much. Btw, he's going to work wonders with the guys we got this year 'cause they have talent & THEY WANT TO BE HERE. Could a coach ask for anything more? And really, as fans can we ask for anything more than our coaches to go out and try to get the best recruits we can but once they are here be relentless and committed to developing them better than everyone else. Bo is awesome. Surprised he chose UCLA...I thought it would really come down to us (football) or Oregon State (close to home)...not sure what sold him to UCLA as they are still second fiddle to USC in LA and second fiddle to the UCLA basketball tradition. I have learned watching recruiting and signing days year after year, that you can never fall in love with a recruit. That quote from Pelini is great. I believe like Pelini that Owa had the best chance to succeed in his football career by coming to Nebraska. Pelini's confidence in that matter is so overwhelming when you picture it vs. Neuheisel saying it. Not even close.
  8. He is not doing the hat game. Alright, so what is the final word on this? Is he rocking the hat or not?
  9. Tommie and Crouch as #1's...Frost right there as #1A.
  10. Alright, this is not cool...link? No worries...this is an article from a long time ago. I am posting it to show that he did in fact eliminate Nebraska publicly. WHEW! &
  11. Also, maybe he put OSU back in because he needs an extra hat on the table when he chooses the "N"! :koolaid2: :koolaid2: I mean it would be kind of boring if only 2 hats were on the table.
  12. Probably be a signing day announcement. I think we have a really good chance and would of course like him here. With what we are doing on defense and all the buzz Pelini has created, this would be a great signing day announcement and create a lot of excitement if both he and Cooper added to our defense on signing day. How bout them apples! If he doesn't come, I dunno...UCLA and OSU are nowhere near our defense so would have to be factor other than football. C'mon Owa...Throw Da Bones!!! :bonez :bonez
  13. New guys...good choices. Old guys...keep up the good work. This board is the best around.
  14. Uh oh... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/332201-robbery-and-muggings-oh-my-just-whats-going-on-in-eugene
  15. FWIW, this link is dated 1/24. Scroll and one guy likes Owa to Nebraska and the other guy to Oregon. Says decision to come on signing day? http://nebraska.scout.com/2/939802.html Pelini Bros. can make wonders out of this kid. Don't see that at Oregon where defense is #2 emphasis. C'mon Owa...Husker Nation awaits!
  16. Scroll this link: http://nebraska.scout.com/2/939802.html They like Cooper to Nebraska!
  17. Per ESPN: http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=4845725&name=Southwest_Recruiting&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fespn%2fblog%2findex%3fentryID%3d4845725%26name%3dSouthwest_Recruiting Senior quarterback Darian Godfrey (Gilmer, Texas/Gilmer) has a visit set up for New Mexico on Jan. 29. A mid-week visit to Nebraska next week prior to the New Mexico visit also remains a possibility. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder also had set up a Jan. 22 visit to Virginia, but that will not happen.
  18. Really surprised he didn't end up with "The Hawk"eyes.
  19. Good for him. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4849823
  20. Headed to AZ. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4850106
  21. This is a thread. Get real people, who would not have loved to have Tebow? If he did what he did at FL playing for NU, we'd all love it. Most Tebow haters are just jealous of him and what he did for FL.
  22. Funny but love it...I recall that song back in the day...how can u forget that one?!
  23. Lots of good posts here. I picked RunTheBall's post above as one I agree a lot with. P.J. Smith and then Eric Martin by the end of the year. These two guys have playmakers written all over them. Also want to see what Ankrah can give us. O Line has to step up big...Caputo, Qvale, and Yoshi can help. Guys I expect significant progress from on offense...Cody Green, Brandon Kinnie, Kyler Reed.
  24. Good to hear. I always liked watching Octo play while at NU.
