  1. Exactly. He just played ok. Carroll said he made some mistakes and he's not sure if there's any thing he can do about it right now. Here's to hoping he craps his pants on the first snap.
  2. Every student should wear red and the fight song should be playing in the background all day. Just showing some spirit for the game
  3. Considering Booty isn't playing in just his second game as a starter at USC, I think there's absolutely no comparison at all. I doubt their center is in just his second game as the center either. I highly doubt he snaps the ball by Booty's head into the endzone for a safety. Actually I think they are starting their true freshman center for the second time. He played ok according to Carroll against Idaho.
  4. I don't see this happening. Our guys will no doubt be pumped and over excited. Add in a 2 minute drill and guys may make mistakes. I would rather see us have a 5 minute drive and make the defense feel terrible. Set the tone early.
  5. It seems like other teams are adopting this based on something that the sea of red inspired. So why change the original?
  6. I would like to see a well played, tough battle. If we hold nothing back, and give it all, that is all that we can hope for.
  7. If a player is ignoring his assignment, then who is at fault for ignoring his assignment? Oh yea, %$&!'n coach!
  8. 2-0 is where we had hoped to be right now . After a lackluster performance by the Huskers, everyone is due to step up at home against the trojans .
  9. Of course your opinion is welcome here. I just think your opinion come off as just being biased against NU. We try to take things for what they are, and like people are saying, NU blew out Nevada at home and squeaked by Wake Forest on the road. The first game showed us things about our team as well as the second one. Yes, USC will be our most difficult test so far, and so it is easy to say that they will show NU what they are made of. USC tends go show everyone that.
  10. "Welcome to Cornhusker country, where the trojans have no protection."
  11. Yeah, everytime I take something for granite, it turns out to be limestone.
  12. Pulling down your uprights is like pissing in your own cheerios.
  13. I don't get the airplanes either. Why not have giant combines running over people and making corn? I liked the statue thing. At least the statue is real. I just think that we have too many good things that actually happen here to go unnoticed. I don't know about you all, but when I travel out of town and see a corn field, I get a little excited. I'm not ashamed.
  14. WTF is so difficult about this? The players coming out is what we get pumped up for, right? So why do they overcomplicate the introduction? We have a pretty good tradition here, actually a damn good one. It's been filled with some awesome moments over the years, along with many great players. I would think you would have trouble picking a few out of them all that would get people the most fired up, because there are just too many. But instead we have ACTORS in the damn video! I could understand maybe a team like Nevada would need some outside influence to get people excited to watch. But here? Ok...
  15. Tomorrow is the start of the best season of the year. It is when Saturdays take on a new meaning. Favorite articles of clothing change to be become like tribal uniforms. Lawns go unmowed and recliners are pushed to their limits as we begin the journey of another college football season. I feel like I've made it to some checkpoint in the year. Baseball suddently doesn't REALLY matter anymore. I can't acutally recall if it ever did, but hell, nothing else matters. I live in Nebraska and it's football season.
  16. Brent Musberger rolls up in his carpool drinkin a 40. He asks me if I want to take a ride to see his new sweatshop, but before I could respond...
  17. First of all, GBR Can't wait to watch the 2nd half. Lets hope NU pulls it off!
  18. There's probably always going to be the bad apples. People who can't control themsleves being drunk in that atmosphere. Let them be the example what not to do. I've seen a lot of different people at games, and most have been nice, most.
