  1. I was just wondering what everyone else thought about the ending of NFL Europe? Personally, I thought it was probably a good thing for some players to go over there and play against a somewhat lower caliber of players and develop and touch up on a few skills. I guess I didn't realize that there were only 6 teams in the league in which 4 were from Germany alone. What do you guys think?
  2. Was there something in particular that caught your eye to consider UNL? Just wondering. Good Luck!
  3. When you have as good of LB as we have, you want your D line to hold up the O line, not do a lot of pushing/rushing/running up field unless you have a free lane, you hold your guy up, and let the great group of LB's make the plays. I think we will still have a good D line this year. Suh is a freakin horse.
  4. There is no one person on D that has a make or break tag on them. Jones better step up, He was as bad if not worse than Grix last year. Bowman will be back. His therapist said his PT has been good.
  5. I know that the Iowa Cubs and OKC baseball team, I think its the Redbirds played the series up here b/c of rain. Get a canoe!
  6. And if Vince Young would have stuck around, Texas would be 13 in recruiting class and 1 in the rankings. Development of players is just as important.
  7. You have to admit that The fall goes so fast because everyone is anticipating Saturday mornings so much. The time flies but it is great!!
  8. I wouldn't put Davison on anyone of my teams. He was great in HS, and a punk, and was in the right place at the right time to make a huge and unforgettable name for himself. There were several players that have played SE that were a lot better than him. There is no way. And thats not just the personal side speaking, he was an average player.
  9. I think they said that the Huskers wouldn't have anyone drafted until the 1000th round!
  10. How so? Is he gonna drop trou on the 50 yard line and give Ralphie the ride of his life? That'd shock me. That wouldn't shock me!
  11. I would have to go with Wistrom or C. Peter. MOTIVATORS and down right NASTY!
  12. It was probably Kirk the Kock's idea to put the "Roll Left" as one of the main links right on the front page. Douche Bag!
  13. I don't know much about this Dooley dude. But I think that along with NCAA basketball, football is just as hard to predict long term. I think its great that some out there think that we are on the rise back towards the top. And this may in fact happen this year. We don't know. We know what we have potential to do. I will say it again like a lot of others say, that predicting polls this far in advanced before anyone has stepped on the field is kind of silly. I hope we can do it. We have tons of POTENTIAL playmakers that can make it happen if they play up to it week in and week out.
  14. Not much of a rivalry anymore IMO when you only play twice every four years minus the BIG 12 Championship game.
  15. How is candace parker a nominee for ESPY's female college athlete of the year and Pavan isn't even on the list.
  16. I think for the most reasonable tickets, I would pick KSU. Everyone is going to be pumped for that game and I think we will win handedly, but it will be a great game to watch Mr. Freeman hit the turf a few times.
  17. I think in some aspect it may change the mindset of some of the HS coaches and influence them to run more of a WCO. But at the same time, I don't think that any HS team needs to be pass dominant to win. At the HS level, you can win games in any class if you are productive in running the football. A HS team that is able pass the ball just has that much more of an advantage. Its a luxury. I think it does help younger players get a feel for what a WCO is and what coaches are looking for.
  18. Stewart Mandel makes his top ten showdowns in College Football of 2007. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writ...ames/index.html We are No. 6 against USC. I cannot agree more. I will be a true measuring stick for us.
  19. That would be Valley High School in West Des Moines Iowa. They win every damn sports title every year, but they also have very good academics there so I'm kinda surprised they aren't the best. I think they've won like the last 4 football state titles, last 3 baseball state titles, wrestling titles, etc. I agree, Valley WDM is probably the most overall dominant high school in Iowa. They are freaking stacked in every sport. Nothing against Kearney, but how did they actually pick them over some of the Lincoln and Omaha schools?
  20. I give our troops all the support in the world and I welcome them wherever they come in. But I am not going to lie to you. That was from beyond left field. But I guess welcome to the board schrohusker! And welcome home troops!
  21. I agree as well. The O line will be improved and Lucky will do just fine. And as far as that Keller guy goes, I think he will hold his own, and do a great job hitting all of our white marquee WR, and Nunn. Is there any word on Octavien playing some rush end in a 3-4 or was that a bunch of BS.
  22. He ought to be a good addition to da O line eh!
  23. And then the Big 12 would be a Mid Major and OU would slaughter everyone!
