Wow Chase Daniel really is a crybaby. First he claims that a NU player spit on him. Now he's whining because his team has two losses. Thats not bad they can still win the North and have a shot at the Big 12 title but I guess thats not good enough for the booger boy.

It's post like this that let me know how spoiled I was when I was a student at UNL...Never missed a home game for 4 1/2 years!....now that I don't live in Nebraska anymore I'm lucky to even see every game on TV.......... Hope to make it back for the Colorado game (fingers crossed) You think you're spoiled.....try going to almost every home game since 1997. My dad has season tickets and I rarely miss a game. I go to UNL now so its the same deal. I can't imagine moving out of state on only seeing 1 or 2 home games a year.

The chances of a Big 12 north title would be a lot higher if we pulled out the win at Texas Tech. Now our chances of getting the north are worse than our chances of beating Oklahoma.

Pretty much spot on, only point I will nitpick a bit is your assesment of the running game. I think the running game is a bit healthier than you indicate. This was the second game in a row that they have had success in the running game. The TT game and ISU together make for significant promise of what this team can do this year as a balance offense that holds the ball for 35 to 40 minutes a game. I agree!! A successful running game doesn't necessarily mean rushing for 300 yards a game and having a back go over 100. It means getting the yards when you need them and the last couple of games they have been getting enough to keep the other team's offense and our defense off the field, and that's encouraging!! Now if we can just continue to apply pressure on D, force some turnovers, and cut down on the penalties we'll find ourselves on the right track and the wins will come!! GBR!! I agree you don't have to be like the 95 huskers to have a good running game, but we should be able to pick up more yards per carry. I think its just our O-Line is inexperienced and is not good at run blocking so that is why we never have a 'breakout' day running the ball. It is basically a complement to the passing game now, its less effective than the pass for us, but its still nice to pick up a few yards on the ground. I would like to see Lucky be more productive for us though.

I think that we finally may have found an actual offensive system for us this season. What I see it as is playing small ball, going for the sure completion 5 - 8 yards off the line of scrimmage, mixed with swing and screen passes and a variety of runs. I think that using that and keeping the other teams offense off the field is going to help us a lot this year with the defense we are working with. The offense we've used for TT and ISU is a lot different than the first 5 games of the year. Watson commented how they dropped their power and heavy sets in the 2nd half of the Mizzou game and I think that helped out. Cause everytime they'd line up in a "power" or heavy set they would run up the middle for nothing and it was just really But now we are just trying to keep the offense on the field as long as possible. You don't really see any razzle dazzle or spectacular plays, just gradually moving the ball downfield with short passes. Our running game still hasn't 'clicked' yet, I don't think that this weeks improvement in running over ISU shows any significant progress. But I see Watson understanding the way the Husker offense can help them win games with this ball control method that we've used. We are using more spread, which I thought we needed to do from the start, and finally are making progress on offense. We have improved on our offensive let downs against Va Tech and Mizzou with this new style. If we can successfully run this offense I can see us maybe running the table (except we will still lose at OU) for the rest of the year, possibly finishing the regular season with 8 wins, which would be awesome for Bo's first year.

I wasn't extremely impressed, at least they got decent production I guess. The last drive where ISU already gave up is where we got a bunch of yards there. IMO we still aren't ready to run the ball against good teams like KU and Oklahoma.

It was a decent broadcast, except a couple times they would be doing these little puff pieces on the coaches and looking at the rest of the schedule right after a play, and there was a flag on NU, and they didn't even show the ref or the call, they just showed the next play with NU 15 yards back. Then on the Ganz QB sneak TD the camera caught it very late all we saw was just a pile. On the ISU 67 yard TD run they didn't even show the back for half the time, they f**ked up

I felt extremely excited during the 4th quarter, after the fake FG and the TD, I felt a way about the Huskers that I haven't had since the '06 Texas A&M game on the final drive. It sucks really bad to not get a win but this game just shows that we do have a good set of coaches on hand. Just imagine if Callahan was coaching that game, we would not even make it close. I have hope for the future and we will one day return to where we belong, which is in the national championship picture.
