  1. TT knows we are going to be tougher to beat than last year, so they'll be up for us. They'll be able to get the occasional big pass play on us, but that's it. Not a lot on the ground. If they don't score on a big pass play, we'll hold 'em to FGs Lee appears to be more comfortable at home so there's an advantage, I think he finally got in the groove on the 4th quarter at Mizery, and is going to stay that way. The way he stood his ground with that TD pass to McNeil impressed me. He knows he can do it. If Helu is healthy, we'll have a good ground attack, and Burkhead can get it done as well. Realizing we can beat a good team, let alone a ranked team, will add to the confidence. Just for fun, my guess is: NU 34 (4TDs/2FGs) TT 29 (3TDs/3FGs - missed 2pt conversion)
  2. Really nice article. I have yet to go to a Nebraska home game as an adult. I've lived in Texas half my life now and have been to two away games (Texas) two B12 champ (San Antonio,KC) games and a bowl game (San Antonio). I always sit surrounded by opponents' fans. I want to go to Memorial Stadium once, before I can't, and be a drop in the Sea of Red!.
  3. 192 total attempts this year, interestingly enough, that's fewer than any of the other comparison years which are all over 200... I don't know if that means anything. It could mean that we are making more yardage by passing more or we are holding on to the ball less because we are passing more.
  4. We need to keep it - We need to keep their defense tired.
  5. At least we've improved since our first series and holding VT a little better
  6. How do I contact these folks? I am subscribed annually to HuskerNside, but when I try to login to the replays you mention, it doesn't accept my login. Is it a separate login from HuskerNside? There is no place listed to contact them to ask questions. Thanks
  7. During the game - Jump up and holler frequently, high five with him frequently, get him to chant with the crowd, get temporary face tatoos, wear lots of red, have a flag, pennant, shirt or towel for him to wave. Make a sign, see if he can get on the big screen. Let him feel that this is where he can let loose and be a kid, a BIG Red Nebraska Huskers fan! GBR!
  8. Lil Red is only supposed to appeal to kids...? I laugh out loud everytime I see him doing his routine, especially when he's on his head. I also notice that the cheerleaders never change the expression on their face... that doesn't freak ME out.
  9. The Lakes are ridiculous. I live on the Pedernales River and its completely dry. I'm trying to survive living in Austin, Tx via Omaha. Surviving the heat and surviving Texas fans.
  10. i say BRING IT! you can then call the north the Big 8 Division and then call the south the South West Division. give put Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in the north and have TCU and Houston go south. and, oh yah, NEBRASKA PLAYS OKLAHOMA LAST GAME IN NOVEMBER AS GOD MEANT IT TO BE. i now yield the floor. sounds good. Wouldn't that leave only 6 teams in the South (Southwest)? How would that work? Add 2 more to the SW then it would be 16 teams? Then we wouldn't play any of the SW division teams but once every three years and only be able to play two out-of-conference games. Take away two from the North, then it would be back to Big 12 North converence with 6 teams. The math just doesn't work right. I don't think it will happen.
  11. Nothing pleases me more than to see a win against Texas in any sport. I've lived in Texas half my life but will always be a Husker fan. GO BIG RED!
  12. I enjoyed watching the OSU-UT game - I live in Austin and had to listen to the whining about them not going to the NC, I figured that game would put an end to it because they barely won. But now they think they have claim to being the greatest team in the nation - ugh, it never ends
  13. Just think Pelini was saying Joe should just speak for himself and not speak for others... I don't think he was saying he shouldn't speak his mind.
  14. I don't kow how reliable it is but looking at coaches hotseat website, it lists his salary as $1.6 million. Les Miles' salary is $1.45 million. http://www.coacheshotseat.com/CoachesHotSeatRanking.htm
  15. Apparently, her son told her TO said it after the A&M game. Scott I didn't see anything in the original post where TO told her son that BO would be coach, just that they "knew" he would be.
  16. Missouri was another one that had a bye before playing us, I believe.
  17. I'm wondering what it is that Bo 'said' that makes you think he didn't mean it... I'm sure T.O. knows what the fans want and what NU needs and hired BO based on that. He sounded awfully sincere to me and I'm excited that we have him here as coach. My $.02 on grammar... Use the "Preview Post" button, read your post, catch mistakes, see if it makes sense, then submit. That also helps those people using quotes. Too often I see the use of quotes entered in error.
  18. So does Bo officially start with a 1-0 record as NU head coach? That is, counting his bowl win as an Interim HC?
