  1. This is a possibility, but why would Watson give them that impression? I don't believe he would. Plus Gilmore was the one who met with Curtis, not Watson and I don't think Gilmore would let on that Watson is out after the season. Unless Gilmore is also out too. While I can see this as a possibility I think it is less likely.
  2. Here's why I think we have the coaches telling these guys,"If you aren't solid then we are going to look in a different direction." We have a limited number of scholarships this year, that is known. Maybe there are more players interested in coming to Nebraska than we have spots open, so the coaches made an executive decision to tell these recruits, "either you're in or you're out" so they aren't holding a committment but aren't solid. Therefore these committments aren't being wasted without the player wavering. Maybe after this last weekend a few more D recruits have become more interested and they need to make room.
  3. Got a good friend who is a trainer for the Packers. He said Charles Woodson voted Suh #1 on his ballot. FYI
  4. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/rank?versi...&listId=363 Another poll which has Ingram in lead...
  5. A few things I noticed from the stiffarmtrophy.com rankings.... They say Johnny Rodgers put Suh at 3 even though the link they provide says he has him on his ballot but would not reveal any of his places. I have a feeling this happens with several others, since there are many who have only one place listed for a player. Dan Patrick's vote is not listed and neither is Tim Griffin's. Patrick had a poll on his site for his vote and Suh was a landslide. Griffin would also have Suh for sure on his ballot. Mark Schlabach also does not have his ballot listed and he said on Jim Rome he had Suh #1. Just some quick observations....
  6. Mark Schlabach is on Rome right now and said that Suh wasn't even in his top 5 going into the weekend and now he's his top choice. Jim Rome is a fan as well.
  7. They are invited to attend the ceremony // be in the background behind the players, if he isn't high enough on ballots to be in the top 3-5, he will be at the ceremony.. just sitting in the background with the other previous winners who choose to attend. He'll probably be crying in the background....
  8. Tebow will be invited because he actually has a vote. He'll either be there as a voter or a finalist. Several past winners go to the ceremony. Crouch has gone a lot.
  9. I think you can thank T.O. and other Big 12 member AD's and reps who are against alcohol. T.O. has come out against it before.
  10. http://www.nike.com/nikeos/p/usnikefootbal..._US/rivalries09 Apparently Mizzou has entered the realm of storied programs with the Nike uniform. Check them out! HA, storied program! HA HA HA.
  11. I don't think we should be writing off K-state with Bill Snyder as their Head coach.......Sure it will be an emotional night for Nebraska but there is a lot at stake for KSU as well.....Plus they do have a good running game with a big back and we saw last week against a supposed weak O-line that Nebraska can be run on. The run D this year is statistically worse than the pass. I just don't think we should be discounting them much. Same goes for Colorado next week......I guess that is my attitude before everygame though. I am always nervous no matter who Nebraska plays because sh*t can happen (see ISU).... Just my thoughts....
  12. KSU is playing to become bowl eligible this week too. A huge game for them as well..... Nebraska is going to get their best shot. I'm worried about this week.
  13. Keep in mind.....there is a 3rd Cotton son, Sam, who I believe is a soph right now at LSE. Maybe they can start recruiting him early! Can't let him go to UNK or Doane!
  14. Carl Pelini is listed as his recruiter. Sounds like we are stuck with Cotton at OL coach because we have his sons here...
  15. Link KSU returned tickets so they are available for face value on the huskers.com website.
  16. You could look at it this way.... Green has been working with these second team receivers more in practice with the 2nd team offense. So if he and a couple of these guys start they would be on the same page more than he would with Holt and the others who are not starting.
  17. Damon Benning also has heard that Green will start, per USC.
  18. Kevin Kugler on USC believes from everything he has heard that Green will get the start tomorrow. Just talked about it for 20 minutes.
  19. Hey Guys, I do not get Versus on regular cable. Has anyone used these websites such as Justin.tv to watch live tv of channels you don't get? How does it work? Or is there a better website to watch live TV? Thanks!
  20. I was at the game. There was no booing at all. Period. Just groans and disbelief....But there was absolutely no booing and the reporters who have written about in the LJS and OWH have noted there was no booing.
  21. Planning on leaving around 7:45 - 8. Just wanted to make sure we get there and have time to tailgate a for an hour. But I haven't been there on game day this year so I was just wondering what the construction situation is. And if any wise and sage-like veterans have any alternate route or know the recent travel time to games this year. Thanks for your input.
