Then he asked if that will help in conference play and he said in effect, yes. Then Sam Mckewon asked if they shoudl have challenged Holts drop when he went out of the endzone. Pelini said he didn't have a good view and people told him that Holt was clearly bobbling the ball so he didn't challenge.

I noticed that, but dont understand the though process behind it. Once he hurts you then fine, but Taylor was obviously looking to pass the whole game. Didnt even run when he had the chance. Do you think they will do that against MU? Gabbert runs well and MU runs him often. It was the gameplan to just contain Taylor in the pocket and make him beat you with his arm. If they were to run a lot of stunts and blitzes (with young LB's) then you leave yourself open to him running and Taylor running is what would lose the game. I'd rather have him stay in the pocket and throw....

That goes in to about a 1:30 stretch of self destruction that lost the game. Took them from 1 and goal at the 6 to our of FG range. I told my wife when we punted, "If Nebraska loses this game, this was the reason why."

Va tech is a run first team. Just because they only have 150 ypg does not mean those yards don't hurt. They are usually big and painful for the opponents.... I think the 107th passing ypg is misleading because they played a great Alabama D and then ran all over Marshall. No need to throw when you can run against Marshall. It's about like saying you had a chance against the '95 nebraska team because they ranked low in Passing YPG. You didn't have a chance. BTW, I'm not comparing Va Tech to that team. Just giving perspective....

I think someone said earlier in this thread that the reason Iowa has to go national instead of Nebraska is due to the Big 10's tv deal with ESPN. It's stated in the deal that Big 10 games must be national or something like that.....Not completely sure about the wording. But as we all know the Big 12 has a crappy TV contract so the Big 12 gets screwed....

...and apparently Arizonans...not that they count Iowa is playing Arizona.....duh.

They're suggesting Miami is an ACC market. Va Tech is an ACC team.

If your in MN you can watch on ESPN2's standard Def channel. If you want HD then I don't know what you can do....

This map above is HD. This is the map for ABC. The reason why north eastern Nebraska (green area) is getting Iowa is because they are served by the Sioux City ABC affiliate. All those in the Iowa/Arizona region (Green) above will be able to see the game on ESPN2 (Standard Def channel). All those in the Nebraska/Va Tech Region (Blue) will get Iowa/Ariz on ESPN2's HD channel.

Gameday had Va Tech the first week with Alabama. Who cares where they go...

There is no way they are showing the same game on both channels. Sorry.... West Coast will get USC vs. Washington. Big 10 and Pac 10 country will probably get Iowa vs Arizona. Rest of the country will get Nebraska vs. Va Tech.

The games that are also covered by ABC in that 2:30 CT slot are USC vs. Washington and Iowa vs. Arizona.

Who is this guy and why should anyone care what he says? He's a Mizzou beat writer for the Kansas City Star. They talk about him sometimes on USC in Omaha. I was just putting his vlog up, you don't have to look at it if you don't want. It's cool, it's just that I've never heard of the guy. I have the sound down here at work, but the guy looked homeless or something. He's a "journalist" who's a complete homer for Mizzou and openly takes blatant shots at other teams to rub things in their faces when Mizzou does well and they don't. And Nebraska isn't the only one on the receiving end of his articles. It's any Mizzou opponent. He once had a vlog where he was obviously drunk and slurring and rambling on and on. That has since been removed by the Star. Couldn't find it, but it was funny. This is your Mizzou journalist at his finest. And yes, he does always look homeless and sound drunk.
