  1. That have sold out every seat since 1962. Do you know the meaning of "Fair Weather Fan"? You should check it out before sounding even more stupid.
  2. You pay enough money and a coach won't give a sh#t if you just fired a 11 win coach.
  3. Just to clarify, I'm not calling for Pelini to be fired as I think he could be a great coach, but great coaches adjust their philosophies when they are proven ineffective. They do not double down.
  4. Sorry, I just posted a thread with this pic too. Didn't see this one. I love how the apologists are poo pooing the facts. They are satisfied with 9 wins and 4 asskickings. I, for one, am not. I'm not saying fire Bo, but I'm saying fire him if he doesn't change his approach and eliminate these embarrassments.
  5. Here is a little something to chew on for all the Pelini apologists. I was once one of them, but facts are facts and I've only seen a stubborn man cling to a scheme that worked against the spread only when he had a once in a lifetime DT named Suh. Cosgrove doesn't look so bad now does he? FML.
  6. "I've gotten clocked full in the face and not flinched. If you're basing your defense of Suh on the fact that a guy who got cleated in a fight didn't flinch, it's pretty weak sauce." I'll believe this when me sh!t turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet. I'll only believe this if you got punched by a 2 yr old girl. If you don't even flinch when getting clocked in the face, you should be boxing, not writing messages on Huskerboard...
  7. I don't think that quote is from Slauson. If he really said that, the quote would read "Sssssomebody nnnneeds tttto get him undddddder ccccccontrol, bec-bec-because he's tttttrying to hurt pppppppppeople, It's one thing ttttttto be an inccccccredibly physical ppppppppppplayer and a ten-ten-tenacious player, but it's another thing tttttto set out to-to-to-to end that gggggguy's career." Why anyone interviews Elmer Fudd Slauson to begin with, I have no clue. If I stuttered as bad as him, I'd cut my vocal chords out...
  8. I'm eating crow. While I never called for him to be benched, he has stepped it up and played tons better since Assconsin. (my new name for Wisconsin, since so many of their fans were a$$es to us). While I do wish he'd work on his awful footwork and even worse throwing motion, I am impressed with how well he has played since. Kudos Taylor.
  9. Frank got fired because he was banging students, not because of his record. Sick of hearing how he was fired for winning 9 games. One thing I'll give Pedey credit for is not calling a spade a spade and dragging Franks name through the dirt when he fired him. He could have taken the easy way and said we fired him for being a crappy person, not because of his record.
  10. Amen. I don't think I could feel my feet for 3 hours after the game and I had on 3 pairs of socks...
  11. I still want to punch him in the gonads for that fumble...
  12. Top 3 3) 1994 Orange Bowl vs Florida State. I was convinced God hated Nebraska and we would never win a National Championship. 2) 2001 Colorado. My 21st birthday party was for that game...Needless to say, I got fitshaced. 1) My 1st game was in 1992 at Iowa State. I was 12 yrs old. Nebraska had just got done pounding top 10 opponents back to back weeks during Tommie Frazier's freshman season and we lose 19-10. Iowa State fans had no problem talking s&*$ to a 12 year old. First taste of d-bag opponents on the road. Honorable Mention: I'm 0-6 at games away from Memorial Stadium. L's include @ Iowa State 1992, 2002 Rose Bowl, 2006 Big 12 Championship, 2007 Cotton Bowl, 2010 Big 12 Championship, and @ Wisconsin 2011. FML...
  13. I'm trying to post a look a like and getting "Post too Short" error. WTF is that?
  14. Question 1 - Do we still live in the United States? Yes Question 2 - Do we still have freedom of speech? Yes Therefore I believe you people saying we can't boo need to move to Iran. Boo's are a fans way of letting the team know when the play calling and play on the field is unacceptable. Husker fans rarely boo, and when they do, it is usually deserved. It isn't like the stadium boos after our first 3 and out or after any turnover. I was at the Okie Light debacle when the fans had the "Surrender Steve Pederson" banner in the south end zone and trust me, those boos were WELL DESERVED. I wasn't at the game, but from what I've heard, the crowd was as loud as it's ever been. That tells me they cheered even more loudly when we did well. We have passionate fans and there will always be boo birds, which is fine by me. We live in a free society. If you can't handle it, sell your tickets to me and watch the game on mute at home.
  15. Amen brother. I'm the first to admit I am one of the first to rag on our defense and qb play. QB play was pretty damn solid all night minus the pick before half and our defense finally came to play in the 2nd half. How much did Braxton's injury have to do w/it is up for discussion, but bottom line is this is the largest comeback W in Husker history and I'm damn proud of the way these young men responded. They could have packed it in like 99% of us did after it was 27-6, but no, they fought, clawed, and won this damn game. Do we still have major issues? Yes. But damn, what a comeback men!
  16. I heard this from a legit insider. After the presser on Monday, Taylor was so upset that he went home and watched game film of his passing technique. He got so mad that he threw the remote at the TV and now he has to buy a new microwave...
  17. First of all, they are not "Kids". These are young men. They very well could be in Iraq/Afghanistan instead of playing a game. Do you call our brave soldiers "Kids"? No. They are brave MEN. Secondly, T-Mart had a bad game, but the coaches are not putting him in a position to excel. That is on them. Lastly, I think the defense is going to be a work in progress all season. I don't see us going 11-1, but I think we can get a rematch in the B1G championship game. I have faith in this team and hopefully they can turn it around this week vs tOSU. As far as anything good about this game. It's over and we got out w/out any major injuries. That was a positive.
