  1. We tried rap once, or something like that with Mikey Bowe or whatever his name is...and that was a catastrophe... That said, anyone watching the Boise/Fresno game? Wow...turning into a track meet...
  2. Watching the VT entrance to Enter Sandman, it makes me wish we had a good rock song for the Tunnel Walk. I understand the stiffy everyone has over Sirius because of "Tradition", but the Tunnel Walk is less than 15 years old and is in need of a new song. Trying to think of a song that is rocking, something the fans could get into, and wouldn't piss the bluehairs off, I came to 1 logical song that I have never really seen brought up before in other threads. Thunderstruck by AC/DC. Somewhat slow build up and instead of "Thunder", the crowd could chant "HUSKERS". I think that would be pretty sweet, especially since the cheerleaders can't figure out how to do the "Husker Power" chant anymore... Thoughts on this? I mean, who doesn't get pumped listening to an AC/DC song?
  3. Could anyone pm me the password for the woodshed? I've emailed a couple of mods but haven't got anything back yet. Thanks.
  4. No wonder this thread is dead, you can't save the image of the Hokie players to put in an attachment. This sucks. I had a good one for Josh Eadie. http://www.hokiesports.com/football/players/eadie_josh.html
  5. Leave it to us Husker fans to be ready to run Lee out as starter and put in Green after 1 game, 1 game in which Lee played pretty damn good to boot. Do you want Burkhead to start at I-back also? Come on, let's at least wait until Lee plays an awful game before you start stirring turds and want a changing of the guard. Go Big Red!
  6. No way. One major difference. LeKevin's INT came inside the 10 yd line. Did that fat a$$ really think he was going to go 90 yds for a TD. Suh has proven he has the hands, his INT was out in the flat at like the 30 yd line. Not even close to LeKevin's crappy week. Think earlier that week he assaulted a parking garage attendant too...I still want to kick LeKevin in the crotch for that play...
  7. Only Nebraska would give up 24 first half points to a team that hasn't scored 28 in a conference game all year. We are doing a great job keeping CU in the game though. The Defense has played much better since the 1st quarter so I am not too worried about the outcome yet, but some of the playcalling is less then stellar for sure. Fake FG from the 50 yd line? Come on idiots. Punt it away if you don't think he can make the kick. 2nd half, NU wins 20-7 for a 44-31 victory....GO BIG RED!!
  8. My biggest pet peave of ALL TIME!!! IT IS LOSE....L O S E!!! LOOSE is what your mom is after a night working the street corner...I have no idea how or why LOSE is spelled LOOSE on message boards. It just blows my mind...
  9. This may make some Big Red fans upset, but I have news for you. Colorado is our rival. You know why they are our rival now? Four numbers. 62-36. There are a couple of key things a rivalry needs. 1) Hatred between the fan bases 2) Openly rooting for the opponent of whomever they are playing at all times 3) Yearly match-ups with bowl/division implications every year Guess what? Colorado fits that mold to a T. OU no longer fits that mold. Playing twice every four years killed the NU/OU rivalry. Nebraska's two rivals are now MU and CU. Like it or not, its the truth. If any of you who are going to reply to this saying CU isn't our rival, tell me this. Do you not hate CU? Do you not root for them to lose every game? Do you not want to punch their Nick Nolte look-a-like coach in the face every time you see him for his remark "The worst day as a Buffalo is still better then the best day as a Husker". That is what I thought. I look forward to kicking our rivals ass next friday. NU 49 CU 17
  10. I don't know if there is any doubt. Touchdown Tommie Frazier is the greatest Nebraska PLAYER of All-Time, let alone QB. It could be argued that he is one of the All-Time Greatest College Players also. His record speaks for itself. His ability to take a team and carry it on his back and make clutch plays through the air or on the ground. The TD run vs Florida in the NC game will always be my favorite Husker play ever. I still get goosebumps thinking about Pavelka's call...Touchdown! Touchdown! Tommie Fraaaziaaaa.
  11. Looks like NU just has to take care of business vs CU and we are Gator Bowl bound and a New Years Bowl in Bo's first year. Go Big Red!
  12. NU 56 K-Stink 27 Pass - 412 Rush - 140 How about this for a tie breaker? NU forces 3 Turnovers.
  13. Oh, and Castille needs to carry a football around campus all the time. All the other team mates need to swat at it and try to strip it and if they do and bring it back to Pelini, Castille runs the stairs at the stadium, i.e. The Program. That will get the fumbles out of his head quickly...He'd probably be running stairs everyday for the rest of his Husker career cuz he has no hands. Quentin 'Iamfumble' Castille
  14. Young and fatigue prone? Are you kidding me? These are top notch D1 athletes...they are not fatigue prone. I could run for miles when I was 18-23 and I wasn't a D1 athlete. If these guys are tired, they need to be ran more!
  15. No way we are as bad as we played for the first 6 minutes of that game. 3 turnovers in 5 plays? No way am I buying that for a second. Take it for what it's worth, but after it was 35-0, we won 28-27 (granted OU was calling the dogs off I know) I love these coaches, I think Pelini is going to win several Big 12 titles in the next decade, but one thing he isn't good at is getting his players to withstand the run good teams put together. Similar to basketball, the home team will usually put together a run and good teams will withstand that rush and punch back. Pelini either doesn't have the personnel or just hasn't learned how to do that yet. He has always been a part of great teams that had great athletes. He will learn it, and once he does, THAT will be when this team turns the corner and beats a great team like OU. We are on our way. We showed it vs TT. We can beat the best teams. GO BIG RED!
  16. Wow. Have you not watched football for the past 20 yrs? Every NFL team and a vast majority of NCAA teams had an O-Coordinator in the box calling the plays, telling someone on the sideline who then relayed it to the QB. This 'looking over at the sideline' stuff is new w/the spread offense. I bet NFL scouts are sick that all these QB's are relying on the coaches for the audibles from the sidelines. The NFL is going to have a serious problem on their hands with such unprepared QB's. The learning curve will go from 2-3 yrs to 4-5 yrs. How many NFL teams can wait 4-5 yrs before a highly drafted QB is ready for NFL defenses? I don't know about any of you, I will be SOOOOOOO glad when this fad is either over or when defenses catch up. I hate games that are higher scoring then most basketball games.
  17. Last time I checked, a fellow by the name of Bob Devaney used to be the HC around here and I'm pretty sure that he dropped QUITE a few f-bombs. Tom Osborne hired Bo because he reminded him ALOT of Devaney. If Bo can get half the results of Devaney, I can handle him dropping an F-bomb or 10. As a former football player, I can tell you I responded much better when a coach cussed at me vs coddling me. That said, there is a time to yell and rant and a time not to, and Bo DIDN'T yell at the players at halftime according to the sideline reporter last nite from ESPN. I think he has a great mixture of leadership and agree with an earlier post. I would be proud to send my son to play for this man.
  18. And I'm a long lost cousin 4 times removed from Billy Sims and want to watch NU/OU in person sometime before I die. Is there anyone that will fly me down to Norman, feed me, and buy me tickets to the game? Oh wait, that sounded pretty lame, desperate, and um...not true...
  19. Hopefully it doesn't turn into that d-bag from Washington State that either has too much money or no life and stalks GameDay week after week. Maybe he'll stop going around doing that since they blow so bad.
  20. Terrible officiating. Swift getting nailed on the fair catch, the supposed Husker that touched the punt at the 25 yd line, and so on. NU benefited from only one call that I saw, the pass on 3rd down to Paul who went out of bounds and was the first one to touch it coming back in. He needs to have better field awareness as next time the worst crew in the Big 12 may not be reffing the game.
  21. I've predicted NU upsetting OU all year (even after the MU game) So I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid like others may be... NU 34 OU 30 Pass Yds - 385 Rush Yds - 110
  22. An asterisk? Come on! Save the asterisk's for cheaters like Bonds and McGuire. All that Swift has done is come in week after week with a great work ethic. Don't try to diminish this accomplishment by saying Rogers did it in less games. That is a cop out. Records are meant to be broken and Nate did just that. Let's appreciate the fact that one of Nebraska's all time great WR are playing for us right now.
