  1. let it be by the code...
  2. we ask for a chance that's fair...
  3. yes, the vagina monologue was a bit much...sorry.
  4. but according to elmo, sacks don't really matter. unless you beat 2 top 10 teams and are ranked 6 after only being in existence for 10 years. then they kind of matter. oh, and when the QB is on his back for a 5 yard loss, then they matter. and i guess when it's 3rd and 6 and a sack happens and the other team has to punt. then it matters.
  5. you from chi-town, spider and scorpions? i used to drink gallons of gooseisland when i lived there.
  6. BTW starting #3. (add a little Guiness, makes the BM taste like a steak...a vodka steak)
  7. yes, robsker. i hope they dominate and i hope daniel(s) plays like a hurt vagina. HAHA!!!
  8. let's do this!!! pass the vodka and BM mix. mostly pass the vodka.
  9. i got my first bloody mary going. i needed it after robsker took me to task on the mindset thread. my bro is coming down from Ft. Collins and we are settling into our game chairs at 6:30. it's going to be a fun ride tonight. here's to takin one down!! GO BIG RED
  10. iwould like to see some sprint draws and some quick count traps. something thats gets the ball to the line of scrimmage in a hurry.
  11. listen here robsker: i have played college football. my dad played and coached @ Nebraska under Devaney and Osborne. then was a college coach for 25 years. don't lecture me on what it takes to play at this level. i was not fortunate to play for Nebraska but was on a very good DII school and started as a freshman. who are you to question my manhood? i get up sore in the morning and hurt in places i never thought i would and i'm only 30, all because i sold out on every play i was in because it could have been my last. and here's Q and Ruud talking about having their feelings hurt?!? all i was saying was, pertaining to the original thread post was the mind set of the Huskers seems to be galvinizing and getting some intensity from our younger players. i can say whatever the hell i want to after Q goes in front of the media and says he's not having 'fun'. if it takes a few younger guys like Culbert, Castille, and Dillard to shake things up and step up to the plate, then i hope they do. if you don't want to read some positive opinions or even some un-constructive criticism then don't come on this board. i can say whatever i want. and if i was at a roundtable discussion with those guys, i would say, "hey, i know you're trying your best, but quit bitching about the media and fans and the pressure and go sell your body out to make a few plays and shut everybody up." i would say that, because i had people say it to me. go big Red
  12. i have read a few things from Culbert and Dillard and especially Keller about how the team is bonding and circling the wagons. Slauson has stepped up about the negativity being motivating. haven't heard much from Q or Ruud about how it's not fun and their vaginas hurt recently. sounds like Dillard may start and Culbert will see some good action. we need to run the ball so maybe Castille will get on the field. my point is, some poor play early in the year has exposed some of the softies and the younger guys who are simply hungry to play fast and get nasty are rising to the top. let the cream rise baby. let it rise.
  13. actually, this guy is hilarious. i sersiously wonder if he talks like this in real life. i would say, "Yes. Yes, he does."
  14. i was at the 13 inning Rockies v Padres game. i had free tix to tonights game. but priorities are priorities. i would hate to get text messages to see what's going on for the Huskers just to watch baseball.
  15. a couple weeks ago, i had a post about Coz that interviewed one of his old players. in the article the former linebacker said maybe the game has passed him by. i think this confirms it. now his assistants are spewing his rhetoric from a guy who coached 20 years ago.
  16. it wouldn't sound bad to break up black-shirts. i have said this before: as a little kid who went to over 35 home games in my life, then not being able to go for about 12 years, then finally started having time and money to make it back i was disappointed how everyone stares at the boob tubes during the games. back in the day, before ANY Husker Vision it seemed the crowd was much more in tune to the game and cheering simply for the fact of making noise and being as one loud body. then came the first 2 screens which enhanced crowd noise and was able to show tunnel walks, replays, cool graphics, etc...that still helped pump up the crowd. now there is the giangantic screen, which looks cool and really makes a strong statement, but i truly believe it takes away from the crowd noise and interaction. it shows friggin commercials for crap sakes. during timeouts, we used to do double-crossing wave, HuskerPower chants, GO BIG RED chants, student section had their stuff, D-fense, you get the point. it can still be loud and seeing huge replays and stuff is great and obviously for recruiting, but IMO, it has actually taken away from an authentic gameday fan/action interaction.
  17. f#*k that sh#t. mutherfuckers not believin...we can win this f'ing game and we will. i bet we have a huge crowd there and we stomp their second-tier asses.
  18. yeah, pretty good. but damn, just another thing on the list of no self-introduced originality. not saying we made it up either, but pretty obvious they ganked it from us this week.
  19. cool video. i could watch those while someone beats me over the head with a blunt object and get chills. 1. Husker prayer, a must 2. short and sweet 3. cool highlights i would like to see mentioned the number of conference championships too
  20. i really think a little disruption goes a long way this week. chase has been able to sit back and pick his targets this year, but still has managed to throw some picks and look inefficient at times. if we can get just a smidge of pressure and keep the game close into halftime, then he will start pressing and try to do it all himself, which plays right into our hands. i mean this with all sincerity: i really am not too worried about winning this game. missouri has had 2 weeks off and will blow their wad in the first quarter. meanwhile, we have been scraping out wins in tough situations, getting more and more battle tested. if we can get daniels the least bit rattled to where he tries too hard, it will be pretty easy for us to win. NU-31 UM-17
  21. yeah, i think they will be ready to play too. i just hoped they get a little too psyched up early this week in anticipation and kind of blow their wad early on. i would expect a couple of big (if not trick) plays early in the game from them, and if we can withstand them, then i think the fight will be on. we have to take this on into the second half cuz they will be ready early.
  22. well, having a weak schedule kind of speaks for itself. a football team ONLY gets better when it plays better teams. look at NU in the late eighties. we CRUSHED KU and K-state and CU all season then lost to OU or a florida school in a bowl, because we didn't play great competition all season. weak schedules are good for confidence and fine tuning, but to start playing with real game speed and intensity, you have to see it first hand. if we win the B12 North and or the B12 CG and get a good bowl victory, i would point to the loss against SC for showing us what it took to play at a high level. secondly, KU's QB is sorry. save for a couple of weak opponents, he hasn't proven himself against anyone. take a look a Freeman @K-state. he's played on the road against 2 very good opponents, won one and amost the other. battle tested, showing poise when it counts. Even Keller in the loss to USC got to fine tune in the 4th quarter against a great defense. KU may have some ballers on D, but again, who are they shutting down? have they seen an O-line as huge as ours (6'4" 315 avg)? is their scout team preparing their starters to play against a spread attack like Mizzery's? have they played tough enough opponents in tight games to develop a 'play-maker' squad? and finally, it's KU! they stink. they always have, and save for a few .500 seasons, they always will. and PLEASE don't point to 2 years ago in Lawerence. one win in 35 years, does not parity make. they are on the right track. they are starting to compete. but kind of like NU v SC, 2-thirds of our starters wouldn't be starting for them; i would maybe trade 2 or 3 players with KU's entire squad! you can't measure heart and i know KU will be ready to play, but until they start to prove it week in, week out--well, then they're just KU.
