  1. After thinking about it, the only thing that might bother me would be: I bet the team/sponsor/university made everyone switch hats, even if they had a lucky one.
  2. But from what I have heard from "so called experts" is that Lee doesnt get all of the offense either, granted Lee has had more time, but what if neither one of them gets it enough? You have to go with Spano or a walk-on, and I dont think that is likely to happen so I will stay with Lee/Green. I think NU will (if he is as good as advertised) build the team's future around Green.
  3. So what I think you are getting at is that a freshman QB cannot win? To that I say- Terell Pryor, Tim Tebow (granted he was a scenario guy), Colt McCoy, Robert Griffin (at fricken Baylor), Matthew Staford, Chris Leak, Mitch Mustain, and Chad Henne. I think NU has enough talent (running game and defense) that Green, if he has good as everyone thinks, could start and win. i dont see why everyone thinks he is gonna be all that good. yeah he looked good in HS, but he hasnt done anything in college. Lee was very good in JUCO and was actually a 5.9 rated 4 star qb when he got to lincoln, whereas Green was a 5.8 rated 4 star. Green seems like maybe just "the next big thing?" as someone else has said, greens only real advantage is in his size as lee is also listed as faster. if you want a qb that is good at both passing and running then right now, lee is your guy. Also, it can be said that throwing a freshman into the fire too soon can permanently damage his confidence if he doesnt win right away. So you think that Tebow, Pryor, McCoy (whom did not start as a true freshman), and Griffin can win as freshmen, so why cant green? To that i say- For every Pryor or Griffin, etc. you have a freeman or any of the countless other 4 star qbs that never lived up to hype or never even started a game..... yes, i am sure that we have enough talent to win with green at qb but the question is,"will we win more games with lee or green starting?" answer: Lee What has Lee done in college? Led one touchdown drive. And as for Freeman I am pretty sure NU has more talent than K-State had, not quite as much as the other guys (except Griffin) but still NU and K-state are on a different level. And recuirting ratings as mentioned a thousand times before dont always determine who is good or not. And btw JUCO competition is a lot of times not even that good, and comparable to Texas high school football. JUCO's usually dont have that good of tape to rate players on, not saying that this is the case but Jeremy Crabtree has warned about these things before. I am not saying Lee is not capable because most likely he will start next year, but I think NU would benefit with having a four year guy in there, if he is capable- which from what I have heard he is.
  4. Personally I like New Era hats, and if the helmets had a white stripe in the front (the picture made it hard to see), then I dont like them. But honestly it doesnt matter to me, just as long as they win

  6. Up until the point when you went down and he held you there. The next time that happens grab his fingers tand push them back then twist. He'll be off of you in no time flat. Oh...when he is getting up, take his hand and pin it behind his back with some emphysis on his elbow. He won't like it and he won't move much. You did good in defending your sister. No offense but pulling is very first grade/ girl move. You got to do a reversal and turn it into an arm bar- UFC style. Next you'll suggest jumping off the top rope. No thanks. I'll take real world defense training and actions over the theatrics of the UFC and the WWE. wow UFC is real and uses many forms of fighting such as Brazilian Jiu jitsu, taeknowdo, karter, wrestling and more. Most of which can be learned fairly easily and effective, as long as you are not fighting a pro (or someone else trained) WWE is fake. Comparing the two is like comparing an apple to a green bean (oranges are too similar to apples to me)
  7. But Gotleib made that too big of deal, Cookie is 5'7'' and still almost got the ball and to WI- the huskers have them, just not consistently
  8. I honestly cant remember who has said it but, someone on USC (maybe Sipple) said that he may not be tough enough and doesn't know the offense that well (but probably no one does). It was my opinion, I respect your opinion on Lee but I do not agree.
  9. um... After listening to it, no one mentioned pregnancy, just that he didn't move for her. Also he said Lincoln East was one of the best ACT school in Nebraska. Mike'l later said the country. On a side note the whole interview was BS. There is no way it is the only school in the country that has 7 classes ie Millard North is one
  10. wow, thats all I can say. Gotlieb annoyed me, the huskers were doing good, and then I slowly watch the huskers lose it. I could blame the officials, but really it was the huskers own fault, and the officials were pretty much fair the whole game. Honestly the huskers played a pretty good game, just had another cold streak. and with that loss, NU's big dance hopes are over
  11. The question is simple who will/ who you want to be the starting QB by the big 12 schedule next year. Since Witt left the answer from the poll earlier. And I added all possible choices per huskers.com and rivals (Martinez was a QB in HS, but haven't heard any "expert" say he will be a QB in college.) Personally I am picking Green, I think Lee will start the first 3 games with Lee getting about 30% of the snaps, and then Green gets his first start against Lousiana Layfette. Personally I want Green or Spano, the stuff I heard about Lee doesnt make me think he will be a great husker QB. But honestly I just want NU to win no matter who the QB is
  12. It isnt so much as the quality of the graphics, more of most the movies I have bought in the past year are in Blu-Ray and since I am not going to be able to take my family's player I would still like to watch my movies. And yes I meant a tablet, didnt know its formal name though. ... Anyways thanks everyone for your help
  13. Tonight's game is a must win for the huskers, and quite frankly is expected. But never expect the expected from the huskers though, so who knows what will happen.
  14. 1620 seems to think it may be a favor in order to get his name out there, but that still means he wants to leave
  15. Damon Benning said that he may have been to smart, and couldnt get along with others
  16. I will be getting a laptop this summer and was wondering what are the good ones. I am a PC guy but am thinking that Mac might be better for me. I think a touch-screen would be sweet but not necessary and if any have blue ray players that might be of interest to me
  17. Jeremy Crabtree has confirmed it. His parents bought him a house in Lincoln. Not to speculate but I bet the girl is prego. For you who go to LE do you know if the girl is going to NU, that could make a difference. And if she is not NU should put her on a full ride for like the bowling team or something. I think NU chances has greatly increased but I wonder how much of a chance.
  18. I imagine it was for personal reasons (but that is the nice guy in me, thinking that everyone has a good reason for what they do). But all of this crap of him not being mobile is not all true, he has good enough speed, sure he probably is the slowest of the four but I bet he was as fast as Ganz (from wheat I have seen and heard from "experts") And I have a hard time believing he didnt get the offense. From what I remember he had like a 4.2 GPA in high school, now I know that doesnt mean he will automatically get the offense but it sure help, but a lot of you think it is true so I will not dismiss it
  19. I like the replays, but I hate when everyone has to be quiet for the tunnel walk, and pay more attention to the video screens rather than making noise (and a home game advantage)
  20. I cant blame him if he goes, but I would would like him to see him stay. Is it time to open up the rumorville again for a new LB coach
  21. Cooper came in as a pinch runner last night in the huskers win. on the radio( before the game) they said he had a sore arm so I dont know if he stayed in
  22. Where would he play? He isn't 6 feet from everything I have heard, so unless he is Sedrick Ellis reincarnated, the likelihood he plays DT is slim. We are short on schollies next year, so do we offer another guy who will play fullback in an offense that does not use it all that much now? Coleman is a good player, no doubt, but not necessarily our type of player for next recruiting season. JMO. Willie, I agree that he doesn't exactly fit us to a T, but keep in mind that Bo has used shorter defensive linemen before. I hope that we pursue him to the fullest, because I personally think he is simply the best football player in the state for the 2010 class. I can never remember Bo recruiting a defensive lineman as short as Ron is. Kid is definitely not 6 feet. Andrew Rodriguez has any player from the '10 class covered in the state. Kid is a monster who just needs a kick in the butt to play hard even against lesser competition. But like he showed at any camp he was at, he will be one of the best linemen there. Just because he is rated best in the state doesnt mean NU should offer (even though Rodriguez clearly is), and to add to the football comment- it would be the second year in a row to offer a fullback and I see that unlikely Personally I think he is too slow for a fullback or linebacker and too small for a dt, but he still might grow and NU's weight staff is great so we will have to see. If I were NU Coleman would be more of a backup plan, Wrestlers usually do good on the lines but I just dont personally see him as a D-1 player (great NE high school, but I dont know college) the times I have seen him
