  1. bingo!! At some point this "great recruiting" will have to pay off in the form of wins. Against top teams, not ISU, Maine, and Baylor.
  2. Good questions. Although not completely healed, Glenn is running without a hitch for the first time in a while. Lucky is 100% and should get the brunt. I think Glenn can play a very big role if he can stay healthy. If not, we will see some youngsters get Lucky a breather or mop up duty. Hope that helps. Alright!!! This is music to my ears. Where did you hear this? Need I say more? Nope. Like darveaux said, I saw him break about 4 tackles in the first 2 1/2 minutes. He is kind of quick if there is a huge hole, and he is good for 1 good cut. Nice speed, but he did get caught from behind a couple of times. At this point in his career, he is a very average division 1 back. There is a reason why most of the preseason publications didn't have him listed in the top backs in the country. Like Hunter94 said, he has yet to live up to the 5 star hype.
  3. None of them. Using trick plays shows that you are either desparate or of a lower caliber than the team you are playing. The CU game was a joke, and that fake punt against Auburn was a stroke of pure idiocy.
  4. Another highly regarded recruit from Callahan's best class, gone. Why can't he keep his own players on campus? This shows how overrated recruiting rankings are.
  5. Not to be Capt. Obvious, but wouldn't we have to GET into the top 10 to be there to stay?
  6. If you were at all smart, you would realize you proved my point. Adam was an excellent player, but Coz's system put him in the improper position to play. Yes I did and Adam played better on the inside, dominant at times. Maybe if you would have watched a game or two, you would have witnessed it instead of talking out of your backside. Who died and made you "God of everything football related?" Oh, that's right, you're too stupid to see that Adam played better as a DT in passing situations then he did as a blown up, oversized D-end. Run along little boy, I rest my case.
  7. Good, unlike Cozgrove, the Rams will put him at his proper position. Is it any wonder why he had such an average year last year. Coz again turned a top draft pick into an ordinary player.
  8. about as long as it takes rivals and scout to pull their heads out of their asses Maybe when his completion percentage gets above 55%. Before we put his name on the Heisman, lets make sure he is here longer than Harrison Beck, or Josh Freeman.
  9. What are you talking about, 95 to 02, isn't that like 7 years? It's not like the game changed dramatically in that time. Not exactly different eras. We're not talking about the ND teams of the 40's or the OU teams of the 50's here, it is seven freaking years.
  10. I agree but NU or MU would likely be fighting it out for 3rd in the South, with a real shot a finishing below OSU, A&M, and Tech.
  11. None of you guys get it. It says that Baylor is the "Best North team in the South" not the best team in the North. What this guy is saying is that the North is so weak, Baylor would factor into winning that Division, but they are the bottom dweller in the South.
  12. What about Mulkey? yes, i did forget about him, seemed to be a lot lower profile? seemed different somehow? Lower profile, but never the less a player that was given more than one chance under both Solich and Callahan. Callahan had enough and cut him loose. Sure it's not exactly the same because Mo is a higher profile player but it could still be an example of how he runs things. I think someone I know said that this would be a black eye on the program. Who was that? You can bet the whole enchilada that if this were a 3rd team scrub (Mulkey) he would be looking for a new school.
  13. I could be wrong, but I think pleading 'guilty' means you're either guilty, or are feeling you are going to be found 'guilty', and try to get a plea arrangement. 'No Contest' is stating that you do not feel that you are guilty, but that the evidence or case against you is overwhelming and you do not wish to contest the charges against you. Again, I am no legal expert, and anyone who is can clarify this as needed. Fops When one pleads "no contest" he is not admitting guilt, but to be sentenced he is found guilty by the judge. So when you plea no contest, you are found guilty.
  14. I believe the writers have picked the correct winner 2 times in the past 11 years. However, NU has been horrible on the road the past 3 years. Mangino has Callahan's number, and Mizzou has been tough in their place the past few trips. We are not that much better than we were the past 4-5 years so we could easily lose those 2 games.
  15. Wasn't Joe Dailey a soph. captain?
  16. really? where have you heard this? Do you know Callahan personally? Did you sit in on the transfer discussion between him and Keller? Amazing. Yes. Next question.
  17. That's not that fast, Crouch ran something like a 10.4-10.5 100m.. This is very Solich-like recruiting.
  18. The records I checked showed he pleaded "no-contest" (guilty) to all 4 charges. Oh no, he got the summer off to sit on his ass, what a huge penalty to pay!!!! Give me an f'ing break. After he started a fight in a bar and promised not to get into any more trouble but a few weeks later got picked up for DUI, he should have been kicked off the team, period. He looked his coach and teammates in the face and lied to them. But he has a coach who has a trouble telling the truth so we shouldn't expect anything less in this situation.
  19. This is just more non-truths being spread by the coach, and it reflects upon him poorly. Keller was told he would be the starter if he came to NU, no if-ands-or buts about it.
  20. I have faith in Callahan. If many of the fans on this board were in charge, of course they'd have him back for USC because that's how they feel. But I believe Callahan made his call based on Mo the kid, and not on how "talented" he is or how much the team "needs" him. Teams are stronger than individuals. Maybe, because I don't see us beating USC with or without Mo. They will likely take him out of the game in the same way Oklahoma did last year. Scoring on that defense will be difficult.
  21. Dramatic much? Gimme a friggin break. The only hot seat Callahan is on is the one that Husker fans such as yourself put him on. But I suppose you are right. It's not like he drug a girl down multiple flights of stairs... Mark my words, during the USC game, we will hear about how he was reinstated just in time to play the #1 team, but if that doesn't bother you so be it. No, he was just guilty of 4 law infractions, was charged with 2 different assault charges, and didn't keep his word to his coach and team. No big deal there, huh? But he got a year's probabation so it's all okay. Whatever. Callahan knows he has to prove it this year, or it is going to get very sticky in Lincoln, and more fans will be calling for his head.
  22. Not suprising, with Callahan being on the hot seat, he needs Purify to play against USC. So much for Callahan being a tough disciplinarian. With Callahan trying to save his own neck, he will create another huge black eye for the program.
  23. That's wierd, with all of the talk of Callahan supposedly "raising the talent level" at NU, we have only 2 pre-season all conference picks this year. And one is a Solich recruit.
  24. I agree. Callahan has not shown the ability to call a good game and beat a top team. Also, NU has got ruffed up at home a few times in the past so it is possible. USC will probably win by 17-21 pts, and this is coming from a huge NU fan.
