I think a B****** of the whole stadium is sweet. Unfortunately we have a bunch of people who are unaccepting of change, even if it is for just one game. These are the same people who are still pissed we are not running option. If anyone has seen a stadium where it is blacked out, you would realize how intimidating it looks. Iowa did it last year for the OSU game and it might be one of the coolest things i have seen. It doesnt hurt to change it up a little bit, even red gets old after 50 yrs.

I'm sorry, but you dont get iowa state to win like that. granted they were never great, but they are also iowa freaking state Win like what?.....The guy gave away more games that he should have won because he would get super conservative. Thats just my opinion after watching him for 5 yrs. It was laughable, he was more predictable than BC calling a run play with Cody Glenn in the backfield.

Why are you changing your expectations for less? I dont get this, its like setting a goal for yourself then once you start and realize you cant do it, you settle for 2nd best. What you set originally should be the goal!! You shouldn't set a goal then get halfway there and say "thats good enough". What a joke.

I'm not saying just winning the North would be a success. But unless the defense improves a ton, it's not realistic to expect a win over Texas or to even compete with OU. If all we can do is just win the North, then no, I don't think the season will be a success. More specifically, I'll look at it as a defensive failure that dragged the rest of the team down with it (assuming the offense continues to produce at a decent level). correct again. In response to your original questions, "Would you be satisfied with that result, considering how you feel about Nebraska football today? Say we do improve enough on defense, and our offense carries us to the Big 12 Championship. Would you still want Coz's head on a platter?" If all we do is win the North, I will not be satisfied because my expectation is more than that, we did that last year. There is no way i can see me not wanting Coz's head on my mantle. Unless he somehow turns this defense into a bunch of animals who dont allow another yard the rest of the season. We have given up over 1000 yards in two games. It should take 4 games for us to give that amount up.

I refuse to change my expectations. I still expect a win over texas and a competitive big 12 championship game. That is what i expected coming into the season anything less would be a regression. Why should we now change our expectations for less? What we expected before the season should still be the goal, and anything less is failure and it needs to be dealt with. (i.e. if we fail, Cosgroves head should roll) I'm not going to accept less than i expected before the season, because then i would be accepting failure. Just my honest opinion.

If i were betting i would be loading up on ISU to cover. There is no way NU is going to put a conference opponent away by more than 23............Unless the 95' team somehow travels through time, comes in the locker room before the game and jerks all of the jerseys out of the pinkshirts hands and takes the field.

I think we are lucky that we even get radio coverage at this point.

I am with you, almost. ISU will not score the 38 -45 points so many have been predicting. They will score probably more than 14 though. How about NU 38 ISU 21. No way NU loses this one. Especially if we can at all run and control the clock some ISU will not light up the endzone. If they do.......... It's become a sad state of affairs that we have to worry about controlling the clock agianst a team like ISU.

They are extremely bad. They lost to Toledo after having an 11 pt lead with 5:30 to go. Kickoff return for a TD. Blocked Punt in the endzone and then had a FG blocked in the waning minutes. Still the game scares me, the way our defense has played we could lose to a high school team.

Nah, pretty sure it will be an opportunity for us to show the nation how to run simple Draws, Traps and Counters that will go for about 11.2 a carry.

I specifically remember that play. Ricky tried to arm tackle the QB and he shed it, then got off a bomb that was caught. I'm so tired of this arm tackling crap. If Ricky had came in with fire and reckless abandon he would have put his helmet right in his numbers and the QB would have been pissing blood for a week. The only guy on the defense that plays with reckless abandon is Octavien. I don't see why every other team across the nation has defenses that just want to hurt someone, and we have a bunch of Pamby Wamby's that are worried about breaking a nail.

John Madden? Mike Ditka? Vince Lombardi? I think would be all viable candidates.

The only guys that didn't take home that honor was Octavien and Dillard.

I will take ISU to cover easily. As long as Chizik runs simple traps, draws and counters ISU will keep this game within 7. Our defense is playing so bad, i am wondering if they are infact getting paid to throw games. The linebackers overpursue worse than anything i have ever seen, the only explanation is they are getting paid to play this bad.

If we give up a ton of yards to ISUcks who is in to start a "Cosgrove Sucks" chant. I am.

I thought it was worth every cent. It was a great back and forth sea-saw battle, where we found that our team can win a shootout. Back a few years ago we would never have been able to come back from a deficit, granted we never would have been in a deficit, but overall i thought it was a great game to watch. I have dish network and it is super easy. The game will be on channel 462. I looked at it last night. If you have your dish hooked up to a phone line all you have to do is go to the station and go to the NU game and select it. It will add it to your bill, or you can call it in, or you can order online.

Until our defense gets it's $hit together, I wouldn't look past anyone....... My wife is an ISU fan, and i already told her if ISU wins i will become an ISU fan. I am fairly confident i won't have to worry about wearing anything that looks like Ketchup and Mustard anytime soon.

Beat Texas, Win the Big 12 and/or bowl game. I dont think it is inconceivable for us to win the rest of our games. I think our offense is going to put up big time numbers, we may get in some track meets but i think we have the offense to win track meets.
