  1. Agreed. I'd venture a guess that they will show advertising more than 90% of the time. If they were used for stats and video I'd be for them . . . but if they are just moving billboards than I am against them. I don't think most people would be excited about the addition of static advertising signs. I view the ribbon boards similarly. I really hope that it is used for statistics instead of advertisements. Other than Adidas, Pepsi, and Valentino's, what other companies support the stadium/Huskers? Those three same advertisements could get very repetitive. Maybe though could show player/team statistics all game? Alltel, Runza, Fairbury, Dorothy Lynch, First National Bank, Ameritas, Embassy Suites, Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, Wimmer's, IMG.... I'm sure there are more.
  2. No nastiness intended, was just honestly asking
  3. wasn't memorial. it was filmed at the usc coliseum. Have you seen the movie? There are aerial shots that show Memorial, and even a shot of the tunnel walk and such that were filmed on sight. All that was filmed at the coliseum was the scenes with the 'fans' including Jim Carrey.
  4. Trust me guys, we don't want anyone other than Tyler Gabbert in this class.
  5. These are totally different situations. Gabe Lynn never seemed to show that playing with his brother was a big deal to him, and always seemed very distant and emotionless towards the whole thing. Green however, has stated that where his brother is going is a huge deal to him, and he's talked about how much he enjoys our coaching staff, etc. etc.
  6. Well if he is what you say I say he is, the reason his teammates respected and liked him were because they're regular guys, being friends with a pretty regular guy (most guys ARE dicks) and he worked his ass off on the field which helped his case. As far as the t-shirt issue being a joke, I most definitely could be wrong but it seemed to me that he and his team friends (he wasn't the only one wearing one) really didn't find it to be a laughing matter, and were quick to tell anyone who would listen about how he should be playing.
  7. It seems as though every post I've ever read from you, when you're commenting on Joe Ganz, consists of hatred, animosity, disdain and/or contempt for the guy. Man, what did Joe Ganz ever do to you that you feel the need to piss on him at every turn? Like I have stated before I grew very tired, very fast of the boner that a lot of the Husker Nation had for one Joey Ganz. I have also grown very tired of his “no respect” stuff. Like I have said he is what he is, which is a decent 1 year starter that if it wasn’t for Kevin Cosgrove would have been playing at a lower level D1 school. He was not the “All Everything” player that some would want you to believe he was. I wish him the best of luck in whatever it is he does from here on out. Which in my opinion does not include playing professional football. Thanks for calling me OZ, although it didn’t take Miss Cleo or whoever can see into the future to see that Ganz was not going to make it in the NFL Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go give a Lion some courage, a tin-man a heart, a scarecrow some brains and help young Dorothy get back to Kansas. I don't get you're stance on Joe at all. No one ever said he was a great QB, or that he would make the pros's, but everyone but you loves his heart, leadership and work ethic. He never said one word about getting playing time, even when everyone knew he should have won the starting job over Sam. He did express some frustration about not getting invited to the combines, when others he felt he was better than did, but who could blame him. Its one thing for you say that he is not pro material, but you come across like you just don't like the guy, which does not make any sense to alot of posters on here. In fact when you wish him luck over and over again in you're threads, it is hard to belive that you are sincere about it. I'm with Newearth on this one. If he was so humble, and so team-oriented and taking his mop-up place to be a good sport, why would he wear a "Got Ganz?" shirt to parties in the middle of a team breakdown? This isn't just heresay either, I have personally seen him and he seemed more me-focused than anything else. I am happy for what he did for us, but I also think he's created this image of himself for the media that makes him lovable (read, knowingly crafting this image he wants people to believe). Edit: Who "knew he deserved the starting job over Keller"? If you mean like, several months afterwards when he played above average in the last three games of the season, that doesn't really make sense, because it wouldn't make sense for him to be like "yeah I would like to revisit this issue from the beginning of the season of me not getting playing time that was total bullcrap". If however, you mean when Sam was announced the starter, you are dreaming if you don't think that 90% of Husker Nation never thought Joe could even hold his jock. And he did voice frustration over that, and over other things as well. It was just that he always followed it with something along the lines of "I will help the team" to make up for it.
  8. Seriously, is there any other college stadium in the country that has five video screens, including (last time I heard) the 3rd largest in the country?
  9. The answer they are looking for is the reason 2732 people were on the site that day. It was a joke
  10. The sound system isn't being upgraded. The video is, and TO remarked that sound is a possibility in the near future.
  11. I refuse to look through Tigerboard, that kind of forum software is just a pain to my eyes.
  12. anyone have any reactions of Missouri fans about Terry committing here?
  13. It's like some weird thread where the original poster asks a question and then answers it. "What happened on January 28th?" "We had 2,732 people on the board"
  14. Here's some I've made for other people so far (not nebraska): Think I've finally got the oversaturation/grainy effect that EA uses down well
  15. He always seemed like a good guy in interviews, which is why I was so shocked at his altercations with the law.
  16. For some reason the game didn't save my highlights from the second game, so I'm going to quick play it and have video highlights from that but all the stats/breakdown will be from the actual game
  17. Dang, wonder where that hi-res image came from I have a hard time finding anything suitable =(
  18. In case you guys didn't know (which seems evident by most of the posts in this thread), the NCAA != the BCS. Two seperate entities. As for my personal opinion, I think they should do it the way that Div. II does it. Have a playoff of ___ teams, and then have a number of bowl games for the top teams who didn't make the playoff.
  19. Oh the life of an NFL quarterback, being hit by footballs thrown by other quarterbacks.
  20. edit2: this is much better link to full size version
  21. I'm going to guess that you want them seperate, because having them all on one cover would look kind of silly (if you ask me)
