Obviously some form of spread O will be implemented...after all it is what Tom favors. What I really hope is that the new HC will be able to adapt it to the type of players he has (especially at QB). If we have an athlete like Pat White or Tim Tebow, emphasize the QB running game. If the QB has the ability to pick apart defenses like Chase Daniel, emphasize the spread passing attack. Just my $0.02.

I'm definitely disappointed in losing Gabbert. I think he will be a great player for MU, though a much different player than Daniel in that I don't think he will make as many plays with his legs. But the Tiger's offense is simple enought that Blaine should be able to get a good handle on it quickly. I see him making contributions by his second year there.

He seems like a great athlete, not to mention confident. I like his attitude, and would love for him to be a husker.

Adverse weather really favors the Buffs, since normally it turns games into defensive battles where the team that can run/stop the run will win. Obviously, we can't stop the run for 4 quarters and aren't very good at running it ourselves.

I live out in Pac-10 territory and have seen a lot of their games this year, and after Oregon and USC, the conference really isn't that good. And now that the Ducks have lost Dixon, they are half the team they were. I would put the B12 over the Pac-10 this year. Overall, the offenses in the Pac-10 really stink, and even the defensively-challenged B12 could slow them down.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Miles remains at LSU. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to UM and Bo becomes head coach at LSU. I would be surprised if TO fires Cally and hires Bo. I would be thrilled to get Bo, I just don't see him fitting in with TO's personality.

Watson...most likely the new coach won't be announced until the 2nd week of January.

I think that the players gained a lot of confidence against KSU. If they can carry it over to Friday, the Huskers should win convincingly. If they get behind early though, watch out. I truly wouldn't be surprised with a blow-out going either way, depending on how the first 20 minutes or so go.

Ultimately I just don't think that CU's passing offense is capable of winning the game. If we can shut down the run, we should be fine.

I would take the Huskers in this one...even if the line was a Pick 'em.

Which Coz defense do you think will show up on Friday? The aggressive, blitzing plan we saw against Texas and KSU or the lay-back-and-let-them-have-their-way-with-you one we saw against every other team we played this year? I think that if we come aggressively after CU, we can force Hawkins into some mistakes and keep them under 400 yards.

If we win convincingly, I think there is a 15-20% chance that Cally is retained with a new defensive staff. Anything less and he is gone for sure.

Mizzou spread the field on these guys and threw the ball all over the place. If Joe can be as accurate as he was against KSUcks, he should have a great day. Also, if we hit some passes early, it will soften up the interior D and we should be able to get some good yards running up the middle.

On the OWH website today, in the Q&A with Shatel, a reader brought up Steve Mariucci and Butch Davis as his top choices to replace Cally. I'm not sure about Mariucci, but I think Butch Davis would be awesome! He has a great track record as a college head coach (as far as winning anyway) and his defenses played with serious intensity! Not to mention he is a great recruiter. Personally, my top choices are Davis and Brian Kelly. What do you all think of Butch Davis for Head Football Coach at Nebraska?

Other schools have been adding black uniforms for years. Why would you want to make Nebraska just another copycat?

We may lose the title of "greatest college football fans in America" after this season.

Knowing what we do about how TO goes about his business, I find this scenario next to impossible.

Bottom Line.. He will be fired after the CU game.. IMO.. If TO had any thoughts of keeping BC, he would be rallying around BC and saying --hey fans this is our coach.. Bill is the coach and everyone should support him.. All that keeps being said is, we will evaluate.. etc.. Agreed...I believe that the decision has already been made. Cally is gone.

It sure seems as if the receivers are dropping fewer of Joe's passes. He was on the money with a lot of them, but the receivers had to make some adjustments on several balls as well. Do you think they have any easier time with balls from Joe as opposed to how Keller would fire it in? ...(any double entendre is purely accidental)...

consistency, ability to make in-game adjustments, players that play with passion and aggression.

The Tigers should be able to score at will. Spread the field, let Daniel pick 'em apart and run some bootlegs as well. If they can pressure Freeman like they did Keller, he will fall apart. MU in a blowout.

I will miss Eisenhart...for a few games there he was one of the only guys on D actually playing his guts out. I will also miss Zach Bowman; it's too bad his years here were marred by injuries and inept coaching.

I think that the biggest thing that hampered Lucky this season is that we kept getting down by such large deficits early that the running game was more or less abandoned and he was unable to find a rhythm. If he's back next year (and it seems as if that's the consensus), I think he could do some big things with some smart (hopefully!) new coaches and a defense that can at least keep the team in the game.

I really like what I've seen from Marlon the last few games. He's running harder and doing a better job finding holes. And the Watson/Cally are doing a better job of getting him the ball in space...he is a top-notch receiver out of the backfield. Do you all think he will be back next year?
