  1. "Corn riding a pickle" LMAO that is still hilarious
  2. i dont have a list of names but why do people keep throwing out the names of coaches who have been in the nfl for twenty years or more and who have turned down NFL $$$$$ because they're done coaching??? (cowher, parcells, schottenheimer) None of whom have any ties with the university whatsoever.
  3. Ya no $hit, what exactly could go wrong? Would we lose the ability to score points all together, or lose the ability to keep teams under 40 points and 600 F**KIN yards? Hell, what is Doc Sadler doin in the evenings? I love that signature
  4. Thanks. best of luck to you. BEAT THE SOONERS

  8. YOu should have head-butted him and spit. what can i say that picture was taken at the peak of his career. Fan day last year fresh off the alamo bowl win. Back then i had false hope that he could possibly take us back to the promised land
  9. my all-time favorite husker used to be ralph brown but based on what i've seen and heard from davidson the last couple weeks he has to be now. I think what he says correlates with what about 98% of the fan base is thinking. Sorry Ralph Matt is number 1 now.
  10. this guy is a politician in waiting. He dodges every question he is asked. He is full of (you know) up to his eyeballs. After he gets fired i think he has a great future ahead of him in politics

  13. Just curious is your friends name matt?
  14. Hahah. Though, AFIK, he is still alive. But Jennings had difficulty in dealing with the media and the public. At a speech in 1960 Jennings raised more than a few eyebrows when he claimed "I don't think this state can ever be great in anything...our football team is about as good as anything we're trying to do." By most measures, Jennings' tenure at the helm of Nebraska would be considered a dismal failure. He recorded a winning percentage of just. 310, the worst of any non war-era coach at Nebraska. His teams never won more than four games in a season and he won just one game in his first year... "Coach Bill Jennings has not lived up to expectations for five years and a need for change should be crystal clear to all, including Coach Jennings." It said. .. Jennings would be gone, and just as quickly Nebraska would enter into an era of unprecedented success with, beginning with head coach Bob Devaney's reign.. --------------------------------- http://www.huskernews.com/vnews/display.v/...2/40d8e5256b3e1Bill I don't remember any coach before Devaney, but thought it was interesting we were able to have success after getting rid of a Bill. Haha I hope you didn't post that because you thought I was implying that we should bring him back THe only interesting thing about him is that Devaney took over his team and had a fantastic season. I thought he died in 2002. I can't tell if you are serious or if i can't detect sarcasm without one of these... . june 8 2002 Yeah..I was currious too. (I'm not really an expert on BJ..I just googled it and thought it interesting about the team being able to turn things around with Devaney) Jennings passed away from cancer in July of 2002. I saw that and i ended up reading every single coaches bio on huskers.com (in chronological order)
  15. i expect a double digit win cause the steelers are on a bye this week so if we lose i dont have anything to pick me up on sunday.

  19. I don't know if this one has been posted yet sorry if it has but i just got it in an e-mail today Subject: CORNHUSKER NEWS BRIEF The Nebraska Cornhusker's football practice was delayed nearly 2 hours yesterday after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head coach Callahan immediately suspended practice while Lincoln Police and federal investigators were called to investigate. After a complete analysis, FBI forensic experts determined that the white substance unknown to the players was the GOAL LINE. Practice was resumed after special agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again. OWU Sports Section 10/11/2007
  20. Your saying he should of took that defense 2003 that was terrible the year before causing their defensive coach to be fired and making them and into the perfect defense? Sounds like you and Steve Pederson went to the same school of thinking. LSU did hold Florida to 7 points in the second half. I know as Nebraska fans were just not use to seeing a defense thats gets better durring the game. Thats because he isnt too stubborn to make adjustments at halftime (cough) cosgrove (cough)
