  1. In 1993 the slogan was "We Refuse to Lose" 1994 was "Unfinished Business" 1995 was there one? 1996 was "Going for 3Peat" or something to that extent 1997 was "Leave No Doubt" was it in 2005 the slogan was "Restore the Order"? From what I have seen so far, the 2022 team slogan is "Do the talking on the field", or actions speak louder than words" There is an aura about this team, and you can see the desire to sell out and win. No need to tell them about tradition. They are hungry and aren't going to be happy with losses.
  2. Frost talked for about 12 minutes. No opening comments, just fielded questions. Maybe less is more speaking wise at this point. let the talking be done on the field
  3. Coach Frost's autograph line will be limited to young Husker fans entering 8th grade and younger. Parents wishing to sign their children up for an opportunity to be part of Coach Frost's line should sign their child up for that opportunity by Friday, July 22 at noon. The sign-up form can be accessed on Huskers.com at www.huskers.com/fanday Approximately 250 children will be randomly chosen to be part of Coach Frost's line. Specific details regarding Coach Frost's line will be sent directly to those individuals randomly selected for the line. so apparently you can't hand $20 and a football or whatever to a kid for Frost to sign.
  4. not bad when the starting price of the strap was $34.95
  5. Went to Husker Hounds on 84th St near Center on 5/10/22 Was wanting to get the 2022 schedule poker chip, and got a window sticker, and was asked "is there anything else today?" Was curious about their cost for a guitar strap, to see how much they would be. Shown where the straps are located and the price is $2.00 yes, two dollars. Also got a pack of guitar picks for $1. Items are going to to great with my scarlet red bass guitar. Love finding great prices on clearence
  6. I recently took my PS4 to a system repair shop because It wasn't recognizing the controllers. Its been a while since I have played, and I'd much rather someone else repair it then me trying to fix it and it breaking even worse.
  7. I just ordered the "Through These Gates" documentary today, and upon seeing the preview of the "Day By Day" 90s team, I hope that it will soon become available to purchase as well. The current team, I hope gets a private viewing to understand what it means to bleed Husker Red. There is something special about the 90s teams from 1993-1997 that you almost can't describe. I from time to time still watch the old games on Youtube, not because I am stuck in the past, but it was amazing seeing the domination and attitude that Nebraska had, and they made the opposition eat their words.
  8. Nebraska adds Florida State transfer QB Chubba Purdy Sean Callahan • HuskerOnline Publisher @Sean_Callahan Nebraska has appeared to pull it off. Many people questioned the idea of being able to convince two high-profile transfer portal quarterbacks to come to Lincoln, but the Huskers have successfully done it. After a weekend official visit to Lincoln with his family, former four-star Florida State quarterback Chubba Purdy picked the Huskers over an offer from Oklahoma. "They were telling me I could just come in there and compete with the rest of the quarterbacks and that they've got some good talent coming in," Purdy told HuskerOnline on Sunday. "I've known Coach Whipple for a couple years now. "He recruited me in high school and once I hit the portal he started recruiting me as well. So, we have a pretty good relationship." He will join former four-star Texas quarterback Casey Thompson in Lincoln, and compete for the starting job in 2022 under new Husker offensive coordinator Mark Whipple. Thompson comes to NU with two years to play two, while Purdy has four years to play four. It's an ideal set-up for Whipple to have two fresh arms to work with, along with current scholarship quarterbacks Logan Smothers , Heinrich Haarberg and Richard Torres . All five scholarship quarterbacks are also now on campus, as spring practice opens up on Feb. 28, with the Red-White spring game taking place on Apr. 9. While at Florida State, Purdy was Mike Norvell's hand-picked quarterback in the class of 2020, as they dropped now Georgia Tech signal-caller Jeff Sims in favor of him. Before committing to Norvell at FSU, Purdy was originally a Louisville recruit. Purdy suffered a collarbone injury in 2020 during Fall Camp at Florida State, but still returned to the field that year and saw 102 snaps of action completing 27-of-53 passes for 219 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He also carried the ball five times for 78 yards. In 2021, Purdy saw 17 snaps vs. UMass and appeared to be in a position to see time later in the season. He instead surprisingly entered the transfer portal on Nov. 4. The one real common connection for Purdy to Nebraska was Whipple. Not only has Whipple already recruited him, he too is from the Phoenix area. Whipple keeps his permanent residence in Scottsdale. Purdy played his high school football in nearby Gilbert. Whipple targeted Purdy while at Pittsburgh, and in fact conducted an in-home visit with him after he interviewed with Scott Frost for the offensive coordinator job on Dec. 5. He was announced at NU's new OC on Dec. 8. Purdy is also the younger brother of former Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy , who recently declared for the NFL draft after a successful career in Ames under head coach Matt Campbell.
  9. Considering he is currently QB Coach at Vanderbilt, I think it would be a nice promotion to Nebraska
  10. #9Baylor #5Oklahoma State 11:00 AM Tickets as low as $77 AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX #1Georgia #3Alabama 3:00 PM CBS Tickets as low as $445 Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA #21Houston #4Cincinnati 3:00 PM Tickets as low as $45 Nippert Stadium, Cincinnati, OH #2Michigan #13Iowa 7:00 PM FOX Tickets as low as $253 Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN T The following 4 games have implications on how the National Championship bracket will look on 12/5/21: imagine this happening, Baylor beats OSU, Georgia beats Alabama, Houston beats Cincinnati, and Iowa beats Michigan. Alabama is out, who jumps in? I think the top 4 after Georgia at #1` in no particular order would be Notre Dame, Ohio St and Baylor... thoughts?
  11. Personally I'd love to see Jerry Gdowski come back as Offensive Coordinator, or as a QB Coach.
  12. Storming the field in the sense of we are Marshall or other movies. Just because we came so close in so many games. This could be the beginning of a new era
  13. The song on the Radio heading from Hawkeye's Stadium to Memorial Stadium
  14. 3-7 Nebraska going against Iowa Hawkeyes. I had a dream last night. Nebraska leads into the 4th, Defense playing lights out. Important 3rd down and Iowa calls a time out. From the higher stands, a chant begins of "Husker Power" and then "We are... Nebraska!!" to "This is... Nebraska!!" Nebraska wins, and the students storm the field. Nebraska holds the trophy high, and explains its the 1st step towards a long winning streak.
  15. Time to hire a staff that is HUNGRY for victories, and know what it means for Nebraska not to just cut it close each game but to dominate and go for the kill early and NOT LET UP.... Its well over due for Nebraska to dominate again, time to not be so nice. That "welcome to Smashmouth Football attitude I don't know if part of that process is hiring former players, but we need people who know what it means to win. Maybe scour High School Coaches like Offensive Coordinators from Westside High School, and places where the Coaches are ready to make that leap to big time.
  16. no conrol there, if its control, then the big 10 commish is on the radio with the refs
  17. The OSU coach with the "but we're OSU we aren't supposed to get flagged" look
  18. how many of these penalties/non penalties are being sent from the Big 10 commish? How is there a halo violation in a fair catch?
