  1. "A player spit on me" is more than a motivational tool. If Daniel lied, it gives Missouri players the impression that Nebraska is a team with no respect, or that they're a bunch of kids when it's a game that is supposed to teach players how to take on responsibility and be men.
  2. Nebraska fans can handle sarcasm, we just can't swallow stupidity. Golly.. I was gonna go to one of them there places that have a TV, but I be dad gummed if I can't get my tractor started. Oh wait, Nebraska is more than Corn and Farmers. I guess maybe Missouri people never open a book?
  3. Nebraska vs Kansas I believe. Back in 1997 the eve before the "Blizzard of 1997" I remember leaving the bar and grill I was at with my brother, and seeing flurries, and saying. "I wonder if we're going to get anything out of this?" My brother said, "No, the ground isn't cold enough and it's not coming down hard enough". Sure enough much of Omaha wakes up with no power and I remember wondering what time it was as I was hearing CRACK!! SNAP!! WHAM!! BZZTTT!! I don't know how many powerlines were down as a result. That that last downpour I can remember Nebraska playing in.
  4. Looks like I'll be somewhere else tonight. The Varsity on 96th and Qst. The family and friend get together fell through so we're going to the place close to our apartment. They have awesome pizza there.
  5. In cable world, between 2-4 means someone will be there at 3:58.
  6. F_JF8oSxXtM I know it's not much a video, but this song makes me think of the Cornhuskers tonight. TIME TO GIVE MISSOURI MISERY!
  7. Ok, so some people start drinking early for the Nebraska games, does this mean they're going to have to pace themselves so they don't pass out before the 8pm Kickoff? I wonder how long the Cornhuskers get to sleep in before they start getting ready for the late game? I'm off work today and I'm glad because even though I'm having to find stuff to do to keep myself busy, at least I'm not having to try to keep my mind on work counting down the time. Husker fans are going to be rabid at 8pm. They're gonna hear us in Missouri!
  8. I keep looking at the clock going "DAMMIT! Is this thing stuck or what??" I'm running an errand, going to do some stuff around the apartment, take a nap, then it will probably be like 2pm, and still 6 hours till kickoff. Then I guess I'll play some NCAA 10 or something to pass the time. This is like a Bowl Game feeling today. Maybe part of it is the chill in the air, but I did some early morning errands today and people are decked out in Husker Gear, and have that intense look in their eyes when they know it's time for Nebraska to take care of business and own the field.
  9. Did the sports writer take Madden Football 101? Err.. The team with the most points in the football game usually wins over the team with less points. The aspect is to be further ahead at the final gun. I am thinking this sportswriter has ADD.
  10. I remember that night very well. We lived in the 40th & D area back then - lots of big trees, lots of leaves still because it hadn't gotten cold yet. We moved our cars out from under a large tree to a relatively open part of the driveway, then walked around a bit in the snow. Branches shattering all over the place, sounded like giant popcorn. A huge double-boled tree half a block down from our house split and fell on a neighbor's house while we watched. When we got back to the house a huge, dead branch had dropped right were our cars had been - would have busted them up pretty good. We spent the next few days moving branches. We were on 40th Street the next day, in the sunshine, hauling 20-foot branches off the street. We were one of the last sections of town to get our power back, 11 days later. We stayed with my in-laws on their couches for a week, then toughed it out at home for the last four days. That was a heck of a storm. Wow, I was at my Parents house South of 44th and Madison Street. I was in town for the weekend while going to College out of state, and if you didn't have 4 wheel drive there was no way you were going to get out of South Omaha. I was supposed to go back Sunday Night and didn't get back till Wednesday.
  11. Wow with that much rain, it's going to be like the Nebraska Kansas game back in the Blizzard of 1997 in October. All that moisture headed North into the Nebraska cold air, and a lot of Omaha woke up Sunday morning with tree limbs all over, and no power. I wonder what the downpour is going to look like on tv?
  12. It's M I S S O U R I . You'd never see Husker Fans with body paint that says KNEE BWASKA. I wonder if Missouri fans can count to 11 with their shoes on?
  13. IMHO Nebraska's downfall against VT was because we didn't take care of business and finish what we started late in the game. Since then, Nebraska has a new attitude. Nebraska needs to realize when it's got Missouri against the ropes, no letting up. I have a good feeling about tonight's game. I'm more worried about wicked lightning and the game being postponed.
  14. Can't wait till tomorrow to drink some beer, eat some grub and raise some hell.
  15. Husker BOB I LOVE your King Kong Brusier Broady pic.
  16. It was misinformation by the Nebraska Cornhuskers Medical Staff. Bo Pelini was explaining that Nebraska is going to have an explosive D for the Missouri game and one of the nurses thought he meant explosive diarrhea. I think the last time the flu really effected the Nebraska team was The Big XII Championship in 1996 against Texas.
  17. I'm glad I'm not the only one that is going to take an afternoon nap on Thursday. Since it's a 8pm game, I guess it will be time to put the women and children to bed and go looking for dinner. Thursday night, we dine on Tiger.
  18. Even if you have digital cable, you should be able to record it onto your VCR. take the cable from the back of the digital cable box that you'd hook up into the cable outlet on your tv and instead you hook it into the top outlet on your vcr, then take another cable from the bottom vcr outlet that says "out to tv", and hook it to the back of your tv. That is unless you have HDTV and there is some sort of different set up. I'd be calling Cox or whomever your digital is with and have them do the necessary wiring with the electronics. Otherwise, I know that ESPN360 is going to have the game online where you can watch it on your own time schedule.
  19. The one on Bell Road in Phoenix? I hear that place is rocking on game days. Never been there myself. I go to Max's in Glendale. Also a huge Husker following. I might check out the Arena though some time. Bell Road in Phoenix? Sorry, this one is on Maple Street in Northwest Omaha, NE. Sounds like an awesome bar, I bet there are a lot of Arizonians For Nebraska that frequent there.
  20. ym-FRRagAxY AKrPo9Aq3XY kighOUC8Ig8 Zolich's reaction (you gotta love ESPN's excellent sports coverage) FKvq6FVBMBk&NR=1 Nn7j-zJrbPk&feature=related OpKbCjd9Bns The Missouri Tiger Mascot with friends jDzAaUcoaks
  21. The plan is to meet up with family and friends at The Arena. I think they're having beer specials on Thursday. 1 dollar draws would be sweet. All I know is I'm glad I'm off on Friday. The game probably won't be over till Midnight.
  22. The guy at the bar who's got to yell louder and longer than everybody else and every 3 seconds has to try to get the "Gooooooooo Biiiiiiiiig Reeeeed" chant going. I hate the analysts too that have to nitpick why we only got a 4 yard gain, when if we did it his way we could take it to the house. I hate the "you're not as big a Cornhusker Fan as me" attitude too, and the ones that rip on people because they're wearing a Tommie Frazier #15 Jersey. To me it's fine to show tradition too.
  23. That would be totally awesome if someone would return his items after they are auctioned.
  24. How long can Tigers tread water?
