Wait a minute......you weren't paying attention to nebraska football when the firings were going on? Were you playing in your sand box at the time? everybody in the state was paying attention at that horrendous time in our history. Frank was a little whacked and unstable but I think he always had the best interests of the team in his heart. He was just clueless on how to juggle the career and the personal life thing.

Since it is an away game, I give the Huskers a darned good chance of an upset. They learned yesterday that they can play good football, despite what the adolescent Nebraska media and the childlike NU fan base has been telling them. Playing away from Lincoln is the best thing that can happen for this team. Lincoln's fans are a sad lot of pethetic losers that live vicariously through a football team. They need lives. Tom Shatel is a tool. I hope nobody on this NU team has the misfortune to read his OWH columns. He's never been an athlete, and has enough trouble just talking without stuttering. I'll always support this team, win or lose. If Callahan stays, that's great . . . it's the best chance NU has of regaining strength. If another coach comes in, that's fine too, and I will still support the team . . . although I don't think that we will see another conference championship in the next decade. Oh yes, and.... I would much rather have recruits come to dear old NU that want to play "FOR" NU not "AT" NU. This is what I think alot of the recruits are lacking IMHO. Back in the day it was for tradition and pride and family. I would rather not see NU as a stepping stone to get to the "league"

Mike Stoops is a head coach, I have a hard time believing that he would leave Arizona to be an assistant coach, even if he were to be fired! Look at Dan McCarney, he went from head coach to D coordinator at USF. Not too hard to believe.

What everyone here seems to forget that in order for an option based offense to work begins with the line. Everyone in here has been talking about Crouch,Buckhalter etc. these guys couldnt of ran jack without an athletic quick bunch of uglies up front. Like the Wigerts of past glory. Ask any Defensive coach the option based defense is the hardest to stop "IF" you have ALL the proper athletes to run it

This was just a hypothetical query. I want to be sure about our next HC as the rest of you. I know that many have thought Bo might possibly go to aTm as well. Between the 2 schools which one in your opinions would have the most appeal.( be objective)

Everyone seems to think that Les Miles would be the logical choice to replace Lloyd Carr at Mich if he is gone at years end as many think he will be. Why wouldn't Bo just stay where he is and take the helm there? He is loved and respected there, why not stay? Could NU entice him enough.........any thoughts????

Just because you run the option doesn't mean you have to run it every play. The idea of a power running game is to use power AND speed to wear down your opponent. I still haven't seen a single good argument against the option/power running game. The "too fast" thing is just ridiculous in my opinion. X Ya HuskerX what you say is true .but you have to have the horses up front to do any of that and right now I dont think our line can run block to save their lives!

I dont think Barry would come to Nu. He loves the skers but he is embedded too deep at Wisc imho.
