  1. Nope, just curious since I was being told our offense can score on anybody and Cally was making the offense great. I wondered what happened? I think Mizzou came with an attitude on both sides of the ball and we (as usual) came into a big game flat. That just allowed them to continue playing harder and our line getting defeated. Also, we didn't change our offense or try to get into the game with big plays...SHOCKER. I just figured 2 field goals is a bit weird for our high powered offense that "put up 31 on USC"....urrr 10 when it mattered!!
  2. While you're probably right about this, a contract extension is no guarantee. Alabama gave Shula an extension and a raise 6 months before they fired him. Trust me I wanted him fired the day he was announced as the coach. He is a joke in coaching circles and has been for a while. Anyway, we don't have the $$ to afford a buyout and hire another coach for $2 MIL per. The only way it happens is if we stop showing up to games but that isn't gonna happen either.
  3. Well, his play calling has been horrible for the ENTIRE time he has been here and he can't make adjustments. The writing about his inability to call a good game has been there for a while. He is a total waste for our program. Please read below.
  4. What do you think contributed to our offensive struggles? I have heard many people rave about our offense although a lot of the facts argued that we struggle at times and we are one dimensional. BUT with Mizzou having such a bad defense are their any ideas why our offense was so bad? We are complaing about coaches and defense but what are the thoughts around here on our offense?
  5. maybe it took an embarassing loss like this to open the eyes of some of the coaches, telling them that they can no longer do things the same way all of the time. i am not a huge Coz fan, but i hope that he decides to make some wholesale changes in his approach to each game. i dont know who throw the blame on completely. sure coaching is some of it, but christ all mighty, how can you drop 8 people in coverage and still get tourched for 400+ yards passing. that is like putting 8 players in the box to stop the run and have them run for 400 yards. there was still alot of missed tackles and broken assignments by the players also You are wrong. Here is why you can do that. It is the same reason it often works during the a prevent defense. If you give any QB worth their salt they can find someone open if given that much time. No defense can cover for 5-7 seconds. The problem was COZ is a moron and he should have realized that without pressure Daniels would have a field day. Only a bad QB would have struggled. ZERO adjustments are embarrassing. Oh, and we still can't tackle. That falls on players some but if everyone is tackling high their is a fundamental/practicing issue. All coaching is the problem.
  6. Not sure why Tedford and Schiano would leave their current spots... I know but it's a dream post. I actually have been pushing this for 2 years. Now with an extension we are stuck for another 1-2 years anyway. So I was just putting out a wish list. They were on my list since last Sept.
  7. This is more accurate: "I am a no talent overrated born loser who tries with all my efforts to steal money from people like Al Davis and Steve PUD all the time while ruining what they once had in place. I want to be remembered as a destroyer of all things good. I can't believe people still liked me after the Ball St. game. Hopefully they now realize I am a bad influence, fire me and pay me $10 MIL to do so....hahahahaha. I want to sit at home at collect checks and soon my dream will be reality. The jokes on the Husker Nation"
  8. You mean like how Standford has more talent than USC and IL is more talented that Wisconsin, and OU has less talent than CU and KSU vs. TX. Is that what you mean by it's about talent??? It's just coaching!!!!!!!!
  9. I don't get to see game tape unless they play a Pac-10 team but the reason is similar to why Taylor struggled against OU last year. Our receivers are running routes that take a little time to develop and then.....they aren't open b/c they aren't athletic enough! We are running an offense suited for a FL school or a WEST coast school where they have the athletic receivers to pull it off. He holds the ball to save an INT. Now with no mobility he can't buy more time or run.
  10. I thought he said this: "I am a no talent overrated born loser who tries with all my efforts to steal money from people like Al Davis and Steve PUD all the time while ruining what they once had in place. I want to be remembered as a destroyer of all things good. I can't believe people still liked me after the Ball St. game. 11. We just need a better coach who understands that the receivers and QB's for a WCO are not in the mid-west and we need some intensity since that is what gets college defenses going. Oh, and READ BELOW!!!
  12. Wow. 2 days ago everyone said, and I quote "I could see us winning the rest of the BIG12 games, they are all winnable" Now we are lucky to make a bowl game? Reality check came hard.
  13. OK, there is no point in continuing to complain about the same things some of us (Bugeater also) have been saying since before the first kickoff of the season. There is also no point to continue to say "I TOLD YOU SO!" Nor am I asking for anyone to apologize for all the hateful things that was said to me about my opinion (backed with data) against this staff. What I do want to know is who would like to see the coaching staff removed? It is unlikely b/c of the new contract. Some people thought was such a great idea at the time but now I am sure a lot of you wish it didn't exist. Heck, the ink has barely dried and now we want Cally removed. Please sign this thread if you would like to focus on supporting the players only, and work towards removing the coaches in whatever way we can. Also, see below for details.
  14. Good point....Die hard fan=good homer=bad This should be a wake up call to everyone on here who spent so much time being blind and rude to others about their opinions on this terrible coaching staff. I won't even trash this staff anymore unless someone makes a boneheaded statement about giving them more time or we can turn it around. After watching USC struggle against everyone but us, the truth is obvious. I can only focus on moving forward and what we can do to replace Clownahan and Co. Many have been saying these things all year and I have been dedicated to educating people for the past 2. Let's band together and see how we can fix it.
  15. I told you! See below for how I have felt for 2 years. The only positive out of this is that the apologists are gone!
  16. Thank you. "I TOLD YOU!!!!!!!" I warned you I would say it. The writing has been on the wall for over 2 years and you chose to ignore it. See below for details
  17. OH NOW IT'S AN ACCEPTABLE TOPIC??? Here is my list: Jeff Tedford Greg Schiano Brian Kelly Ron Zook...lol
  18. I agree with focusing on OK St. Unfortunately, the obvious has become the truth. We have $hit coaches who should have never been hired. I really wish I was wrong. Now we can only make sure we make a decent bowl game as win as many as we can. If we lose 2 more then we need to start playing younger guys at most positions for experience.
  19. Mack Brown is a clown and there really is no debating that, but I don't think he's the worst. Actually, I think we're gonna play against one of the worst Saturday. Pinkel has the ability to screw up just about anything he touches. He took arguably one of the best collegiate players ever and made him average his senior year. Now that takes some doing! Both are wrong. Tell PUD to find a mirror and then have PUD hold it in front of Cally and COZ
  20. He is a good back for this offense. I think he is a top 20 back in the country and yes you should evaluate a RB completely. That is my point. I called his running ability above average but his catching ability is way up there in the nation. He is a good back but if he isn't a great runner then he can't be a great back. Good, yes. Need improvement on running, yes. Good for us, definitely. And anyone who compares him to any back prior to Cally is wasting their time. First, he will never be that good. Second, offenses are totally differnt. Third, he is built differently for today's standards. He isn't a Jackson or Glenn type back.
  21. $ 250,000 and free hookers help TRUE DAT! That helps in recruiting not play on the field. Also HSKRNOKC, it is better to say NOTHING then to say something STUPID.
  22. I think the topic was based on his running ability but he has been a good back for us overall and an above average runner. I think a lot of people are merely stating that his hype would have had him as the 79th best back on yds per carry. He should be a better runner but he is a decent back...just not great. Decent back that has the 3rd most yards in the nation. More than any of the Heisman candidates that were pumped ad nauseum over the summer. Whatever, dude. I don't think he is the most awesome running back ever, but I think he gets 0 credit for as much as he does. I thought that stat would be pretty entertaining to throw out there. He is on pace for 2000 total yards this year. 2000 that's it? The way people are acting on this board, he'll need 3000yds rushing alone to make him good. Maybe he should've just transfered when he had the chance. Then we wouldn't be stuck with this average running back. Who said average???? I said "good back for us overall and an above avg runner" He has a ton of receiving yds which make up almost 30% of his total yds so he is a good back overall. These comments were on his running only. He has been an average runner the last 4 weeks...emphasis on RUNNER. Do you guys read the entire post?
  23. I agree that Young is by far the most valuable for his team. He carried that team in almost every game. Having said that Tommie is a better fit for the NU teams. Vince didn't have that type of option running ability....nobody did in years. If you want QBs that might have fit in our system it would be Rodney Peete, Tony Rice, Major Harris...guys from the late 80's who ran strong option teams with a lot of success. None of them would have been better than Tommie.
  24. Ironically, they are willing to burn redshirt years on special teams??? Total hypocrisy!

He is on pace for 2000 total yards this year. ok, let's wait until the season is over to really evaluate his performance. There will be even more excuses then as to why he sucks/can't live up to the hype. If he ends up with 2000 total yards, most will just call him a product of the system. Look for him to have a big game against Missouri. He needs to for Nebraska to win. You don't read well do you. I said he needs to improve his running. He has the 10th most carries and averages 79th per carry. That needs to improve. He is a decent back and I would rank him of the top 10 in production but aren't we talking about talent level AS A RUNNER! That was my point.
