I think it's more he is a Big Bo Pelini fan........ Not sure what their relationship was in the past.... But Rome has a man crush on Bo...... I will make this point again in this thread. NU lost 4 games last year and the QB didn't throw a TD in those 4 four losses. If you are going to have a QB not throw a TD in your losses then how about a QB that can at least run the ball for TD's instead of settling for FG's. I don't care if he is or isn't throwing TD's, it is his running ability that puts this team in position to score. NU will have Taylor throw more on 1st and 10 when a lot of teams think we are going to just run. This will bring a different element of not knowing if NU is going to run or throw on certain downs. There are about 2 teams in the Big 12 that can stay with this team right now. We all know who those teams are and I wouldn't worry too much about the rest of the Big 12. I'd like to see them air it out against SDSU. I know the coaches probably won't too much since the running game will be dominant with a highly superior O-Line... but it'd be nice to get some good licks in before conference play.

Oregon State? That's not even their largest hurdle. How about talent loaded but under coached #20 USC, #14 Arizona, or (nearly #11 Wisconsin beater) Arizona State.

With the quality of recruits we have coming into next year's class. I really hope we can red shirt nearly the entire class.. Then we'll have 4 years of complete world wide domination.

Totally disagree, with Zac's athleticism and quick hands I see him taking Baker's position on the D-Line. Man Zac could drive some offensive tackles with those hips.

Bama most likely not. Oregon possibly not given the strength of the rest of the PAC.. mainly the Arizonas.

Jamal Turner is all class. I'm precipitously predicting he will be my favorite Husker since Suh. One thing about Jamal is he can actually give engaging and thoughtful press interviews unlike a few of our current players

I can't imagine he would choose Washington over us. Just on where he has official visits, Oregon State, Washington, Nebraska, I would say he's likely a Husker.

I have so many friends that want tickets to this game from SD. The problem is the tickets fort he student section are the highest of the year so far. $60+ for unvalidated tickets. What the hell? Idaho went for $25 a ticket unvalidated.

Now that the ball is rolling, this weekend could do a lot to push him further into the heisman talk. If he rushes for something ridiculous like 200 yards (easily possible against SDSU) and throws for another 200+ I see his stock moving up to the top 5 going into conference play. The game against Texas and the Big12 CCG will determine his heisman hopes. Two huge games in the national spotlight would boost his image.

16 of 40??? Ummm....sounds like he's got the running part down at least. With our log jam at quarterback I'd really like to see him on the field in some aspect but not sure if I see him as a starting qb. Glad to have him all the same and look forward to seeing just how he gets utilized. Horrible news about his mother also. You never know what the talent around you is like. Jamal could be a good passer but just have receivers who can't create space or he likely faced numerous blitz packages forcing him to throw it quickly / away.

We'll be stacking the box early against KSU forcing them to make throws and relying on our CB's to make plays in man to man coverage. How KSU does will depend on how well their QB can throw short passes under pressure to guys who are covered like white on rice in a paper plate in a snow storm.
