  1. I really hope that we hang 70 on Texas. Over 100 would even be better.. Any outrageous score in front of all the recruits and to put us up in the polls.
  2. College FB will implode this Jan. 6 Undefeated Teams. OSU, Bama, TCU, BSU, NU, Oregon. Bank IT!

    1. JTrain

      JTrain

      You a betting man?

  3. I think a few of us are counting our chickens before they hatch. Even if he's able to practice you never know if he'll be able to go full speed or if he'll have any pain. The bone could medically be healed, but he could still have fluid and swelling for up to a month after the fact- definitely something that would sideline him. I woulf rather have them keep him out a week longer than risk him reinjuring or playing less than 100%. It's not as though our current LB's aren't serviceable.
  4. Timing is everything in the voters minds. Say we enter the B12 CCG with OU and NU ranked within the top 5. A win over OU in the CCG does a lot more for MNC hopes than a win over a 10-15 ranked OU (assuming they lose to Texas and win out)
  5. Damn, just as I notice his high school someone beats me to the DBZ jokes. I wonder if his power level is over 9000?!
  6. Aren't we playing Miami in 2014 and 2015? Yes, and Tennessee
  7. Dont forget when we move cody Green to WR.. we'll just do reverse option TD passes by everyone all day. I say we only recruit QB's and just place them in different places.... can Carnes play center? That's funny. My GF's brother just got moved from QB to center. He's short for the position and way undersized for a high school lineman. It's sort of hilarious to watch really.
  8. @Joey lol I was watching that earlier when it was on the Golf Channel.

  9. We seem to have 3 more qualified QB's in our system. I would argue that Carnes is a better athlete and QB than Spano so he's looking at being 4th again next season. When he gets up to strength do we keep him around as a QB or do we move him? He came in at 205 and I heard the staff beefed him up to 220/225 before his injury. Do we move him over to defense? TE etc?
  10. You never know though. You'd hate for them to rush him back like a certain QB and his ACL and have it end up ruining his season.
  11. @schuhbdoo depends on how difficult the photoshop is. PM me.

  12. Hmm.. I want to go to Disney World again. I want to do the Epcot Beer tour.

  13. If you're implying JP was on coke at Nebraska, you're wrong. He's been pretty up-front with his drug addiction problems, and he wasn't troubled at Nebraska. If this turns into a flame-fest against a former player, we can stop that from happening. Let's please keep this thread respectful. No, but he was in the pros. He certainly said he was addicted to pain killers when he was at Nebraska in Hero of the Underground. It wasn't a flame, just a joke. He also said in his book if you can't talk and joke about your problems you truly aren't over them.
  14. You do know at SEC schools if someone graduates on time they call it skipping two grades. It normally takes SEC athletes 7 years to complete college.
  15. Players will run through walls... if they're high on coke.
  16. I take it there are no tickets left for the 100 region of the field or anywhere in the lower bowl. Should've bought mine earlier this week.
  17. If it is true he skipped two grades, there's no way he is sitting out two years and putting his education on hold. Also, it doesn't make sense he wouldn't get looks from more academic programs, IE: stanford / the ivies, etc.
  18. According to Rivals teaser, NU is back in the picture. Is this a good thing? No, because we can use his scholly to get a better player. He looks like a walk-on to me. Sounds like a kid who made a commitment to a bad program and is backtracking to join us because of our ranking.
  19. The NU/OU game in 2001 is still tops in Gameday attendance, but it wasn't 20,000. See the tweet from Big 12 Conference. The largest attendance for CGD is 22,144 at Kentucky last year. (This is for Basketball) Around 20,000 were in attendance for Alabama vs Clemson for Football in 2008. The listed # from Huskers was over 14,000 for 2007 (my bad). However, we don't hold the record anymore.
  20. Rich, I think you're mistaken for what the real reason was. I heard Patrick Witt's thesis at Yale is entitled, " The Quantum Quarterback Mechanics of Rex Burkehead, how a white guy defies the laws of nature" I heard Witt transfered to escape the inevitable benching in favor of Rex at QB
  21. There's a reason the entire Harvard football team watches sports center looking for Rex's highlights. Not even a Harvard degree can teach you to be that good.
  22. Bo's aquarium guy said Green will move to receiver. Martinez to safety, and Zac Lee to TE. In Rex we Trust.
  23. Rex played some QB in highschool. However, how do you think he would fare against T-mart. Speed: Rex has a faster high end speed but Taylor has slightly better acceleration... But the cut back Rex made this week. In the second half where he stopped on a dime behind the line of scrimage to avoid a defender was amazing. Edge: Even Vision;Rex seems to read coverage and holes well. Despite not having as many home run runs this year, he also has less carries. Taylor stares down receivers and forces the ball into coverage. Edge: Rex Post Game Interviews:... Edge: Rex Arm Strength: Taylor has underthrown a lot of balls this year, but we have no film of Rex. However, we have seen Rex's steel stiff arm. I'm going to have to give this one to Rex for being able to man handle and move 220 lb linebackers with a single arm. Edge: Rex There you have it. I am pleased to announce our SDSU woes are over. Rex will move to QB and run the tables. Aided by a unknown TE, Zac Lee, the Huskers will win every game.
  24. 1,500? You must not be from Nebraska. When Gameday was here in 2007 Nebraska set a record with 20,000+ fans for Gameday.
