  1. I dont understand why it is taking Green so long to grasp the idea of checking down to a dump pass, works amazingly for Lee
  2. Here's hoping someone will beat the sh#t out of you soon
  3. Due to your inibility to spell obviously winning isnt a big part of your guys history. Its Won, and it would be wise on your part not to bring up historical facts they are not in favor of your cyclones. No offense, but you have a few typos in your post as well... *sorry* You are right, inability, my mistake the iphone makes it hard to see what I am typing. Thanks

  5. Great job on the win to bad you guys didnt get a trophy, your case is pretty empty.
  6. Do you not remember the sh#t-zou game, how many turnovers/near turnovers did we have in our punt game, then again only about half of what we did last game.
  7. Hey, if Gabbert did more of what he's doing in the picture, then he would have fit right in as the Nubs QB Dude, isn't your team getting b!tch slapped by the Horns right now? The CU/TX game was so bad, ABC had to switch coverage to the Oregon State/ USC in the middle of the 3rd quarter to salvage what ever audience they had left that wasn't dead or passed out. Way to go Mizzoutucky! Hey, I didn't expect to beat Texas or even stay close with them. But they way some of you guys are explaining your loss cracks me up. "I-State didn't beat us, we beat ourselves" "If we don't turn the ball over eight times, we win" Well, that's all well and good, but, if it doesn't rain then Mizzou beats Nebraska and if Gabbert doesn't get hurt or throws three interceptions, then Mizzou beats Nebraska. Sounds kinda the same, don't it?? If if's and but's were candy and nuts, we would all have a great Christmas. First off Missouri had the 4th quarter to score points out of the rain, i mean christ Nebraska did that and have scored 17 since that game. Also if's and but's will be the only way Missouri will ever win a Big 12 title. You guys got more excuses than daniels has fingers to pick his boogers.
  8. And just so you know I'm not attacking you here, but if the ball hits you in the hands you are supposed to catch it. Hell, I had coaches in middle school telling me that so these kids should know this. No excuse for it. Agreed but Meno didn't drop a ball that hit him square in the hands that he dropped. Of the balls he dropped they were either to high or behind him. If you are blaming him then you have to blame Lee for not placing it at his chest. FInally someone said it besides me. The reason there were so many dropped passes because Lee cannot throw accuralty into the recievers chest. Its either to high or behind them I find it humorous that those of us who were at the stadium the first game of the year complained about Lee's accuracy and bad decision making.. and those who watched on TV / got punch drunk off the kool-aid hyped him as being better than Taylor / Ganz. Oh hindsight, you are a bitter pill to swallow. I completely agree with this comment, I was at the ULL game and Lee worried me. He was taking forever to complete passes, he checked down several times and also was hesitant on either running or throwing and obviously this has transpired into poor performances with greater competition. Im sorry Pelini has to give Green a chane against Baylor. Think of it this way 1 If Green does do well, then problem solved and we have a new quarterback. 2. If Green doesnt perform well, then put Lee back in and Bo can say "I told you so" but right now I think players are beginning to lose confidence and are even thinking "what if" we have to get our s#it figured out before ou which I think will be a low scoring game.
  9. For all those that say oh we are nebraska were to go to boo, heres a wake up call. First for the last 40 years we played pretty much every game competitvely at home, so there was no need for the booing. However over the last 6 years, even before our last f up coach, the play and enthusiams of the players is suffering. Now its great that we dont boo the other team, i mean thats very respectable and we shouldnt. But I think if we dont like a product that we see on the field week to week then we should be allowed to voice our opinions. Im not going to sit there spending serious money to watch a piss poor effort. I also feel extremly sorry for the defense since they play their guts out and its just unreal that the offense cant score more than 7 points on an Iowa State team, i mean i dont want to even think about oklahoma now.
  10. I wasn't blaming anyone for the loss but us. We didn't play up to par or Nebraska standards. Hopefully we will learn and run the table the rest of the season. GBR
  11. Completely agree with this. I think the offense needs to be looked at closely. Hopefully we give green a chance. Not saying that he's going to be a savior I mean I remember 2003 we were all wanting dailey to replace lord and how'd that work out. But I'm willing to have a few mistakes from green in return for athletic runs. Atleast playin Baylor and Iowa state these next two weeks would give him the opportunity to get his feet wet. Just a thought.

  13. My thoughts about booing and the game. First I understand some may get upset that fans were booing the players however as some have mentioned earlier what are you suppose to do when the team, correct that offense, plays as pathetic as they did. However, I thought that Green played a hell of a game, yes he had a pick but it was amazing how well he could throw and step up as well. I think he is more athletic that Lee, so he should be given a chance to start and see how it works. Second I feel that the officiating was piss poor and likewise was the announcing. I feel that the announcers were clueless as to what is happening when Bo is yelling at officials for bogus pass interference calls, regardless if the game is over or not. I feel that Bo is one guy that wont give up on his team. I think this could be a good game for us. We all thought we were back after that win last week this allowed us to get off the high horse and realize we still have alot of work that begins with the offensive line and offensive play call. GBR
  14. Sorry don't think Oklahoma state could match up with us. That's part of the problems with preseason rankings teams lose and it's a huge deal. As far as Texas is concerned I think this weekend will tell more if they are actually a powerhouse of the south or not. I would wait to talk about weak schedules till after this weekend. Besides as stated above we WILL get our chance to play texas.
  15. I don't see this as a weird day at all. It'll be a fresh reminder tomorrow as how they should play and the standards that they need to be held to. Also against tech which can be a very important game. We win this and it's a huge motivation tool. It'll be a springboard to ou and hopefully 7-1.
  16. playing devils advocate...... living in dallas since big 12 started there were many years that it was played in saint louis and kansas city.... besides there will be plenty of husker fans, my self included, in jerry world for the game. GBR beat tech this weekend
  17. My post about notre dame was intended to be sarcastic. I think they could easily lose 4 more games and should be 1-4 right now. It disgust me to see the coverage they receive and credit given to them where it isn't deserved. Watching the interviews after the Michigan game you wouldve thought they were playin a nc game. Soon came to find out that's not true.
  18. Can't forget about notre dame and what will be their overglorified 9-3 record at best. . Those guys don't deserve anything close to a bcs bowl. They should join the little ten and enjoy trips to San Antonio for the Alamo bowl at best.
  19. You have to look at it in this way for nearly 30 years we destroyed most teams in the big 8/big 12 minus the annual and only true rivalry with Oklahoma but even in the mid 90's we killed them. So when we started our horrific decline the writers around the Midwest loved it and finally could bash on Nebraska. And they had reason to in the mid part of this decade it sucked waking up and knowing we were going to get killed by the likes of Texas tech in 04 and the terrible season of 07. Now that we are starting to progress back up the pecking order of the big 12 elites I think us as husker fans are looking for too much credit to soon. We have yet to have a defining victory for Bo. Hopefully that'll change Thursday but we still have the curse of not beating a top 20 team on the road in over 10 years. Until we can compete and beat top ten top 15 teams we won't get much credit from writers outside of nebraska.
  20. http://www.huskerextra.com/articles/2009/1...6d096080893.txt Yeah we've had good defense the previous four games, and I know we've got the top rated scoring defense but you look at who we've played. I think this is a main reason they had yet to be handed out. If we can get through the Texas tech game limiting Missouri and tech to 14-21 points and most importantly win, then you can address the issue of the blackshirts. It's kinda like the polls right now if we continue to win throughout conference play and do so impressively everything will work out. The blackshirts are something that are to be deserved not just given to because of kicking around some sun belt teams and a week to week Virginia tech team. We are wiling to gain respect of the national media and I agree with not handing out the blackshirts yet. Now come late october and our defense is still dominate and we are atop the north. That'll be the time to reward the defense with the privilage of wearing the blackshirts.
  21. No i totally agree I'm just thinkin get him in there maybe one or two series especially if we need a td late in the game and have him as an extra blocker maybe an offset I so it doesn't affect helu since he likes the single back formation and let suh plow through a few guys and helu follow him in. It wouldn't be reasonable at all to have him in every series. Completely agree with you there.
  22. After watching the offense move successfully down the field several times and from what I heard listening to the fau and Arkansas state it sounds like the offense is having issues punching it in from about ten yards in. And I know penalties and less field for the defense to cover is an issue. What is your thougts on getting suh in there like we did last year. I know he's a stud at defense and we don't want to use him every drive and tire him out but when we have a chance to go up by over a touchdown lead it wouldn't hurt to have the big man in especially if were trying to seal a game. We don't even need to have him as a running back, possible a fullback and pave the way for helu cause helu can follow that big man and make one or two moves and get three to five yards. Let me know how y'all feel bout this. Seemed successful last year and with missing a true fullback I feel suh would be perfect for the job. GBR
  23. That would have been a terrible decision.... getting that long third down pass you have to remember how cold it is in Lincoln which makes the ball alot harder to handle.
  24. You know the funny thing about recruits is it doesnt matter what their ranking is, its all about the coaching staff and how they can develop the players. Look at the national championship teams of the 90s we usually got one or two amazing recruit but it was the way that osborne could transform the players and also i believe that this is what pelini can do so i dont care about those that backed out. they wouldnt be a good fit because it shows that when it came to a rough time they were indecisive and thats not what you want to rebuild a great program. Pelini is going to transform this program and in a few years those guys are going to be wishing they had stayed with nebraska.
  25. Anyone see the topic on gameday, corso calls for turner gill to return to nebraska. What do you think is about that.
