  1. Maybe if our coaches would spend less time adjusting their scrotums and more time adjusting their offensive and defensive schemes...we might actually look respectable. Apparently, they didn't get that memo. :asshat asshat(s)
  2. Well, I hate to say it...but, "Scoreboard." 'Nuff said. Does that answer your question?
  3. Agreed. Unless we win out..and impressively...Callahan is gone. I just want people to let the rest of the season run its course. I've taken solace in knowing that even without my wishing for more Husker loses... it will likely occur. That is, unless, we make a MIRACULOUS comeback. And even then, I don't know.
  4. I've been saying the same thing ever since the third quarter of the Mizzou game. The worst thing that could happen to this team right now is another win. I don't press this point with fury because I don't really think it matters that much––it will come of itself, just watch this Saturday for further evidence. My only fear is that Callahan manages to scrape up enough sympathy for another season. I think he is a good, professional man, but an absolutely worthless head coach. Every day he remains here is one more day I have to wait to see our full tradition restored. What can I say? I'm impatient. X What does this say about us? Although I HOPE that there is a significant coaching change, how can you post that you hope we lose? I know you believe that a Husker win would be detrimental to our progress. But come on, man....think it, say it to your friends...but don't post that sh!t here. I've agreed with you on almost every post you've made...I just wonder whether we should wish our current players to lose. If anything, a third-party (non-NE fan) could read this and interpret your comments without understanding or context. PLEASE, stop stating you wish for Husker losses.
  5. It's a good point. However, at this stage, I think that's a negative, Ghostrider. Unfortunately, most outside of Nebraska believe this to be a last-ditch attempt.
  6. I'll stop doubting you from now on, just don't try and make me believe that they have exhumed Bear Bryant, revived him, and he will be our next coach. Because I may believe you.
  7. J.B. makes some good points and I like his demeanor...but I think he is high. All smiles.
  8. I am Bill Callahan's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former-roommate. With all the rumors going around, you can understand my seizing the opportunity. I hope it's true...maybe.
  9. "We may not win any more games." Regardless of Pederson's status with this team, NU not winning "any more games" was a VERY LIKELY possibility either way. I don't know how to approach the coaching situation...we'll see if Callahan is even on the chopping block when a new AD is hired. I think one thing we, as fans, can hold certain...is that Cosgrove is gone after this season...if not before then.
  10. I cue the recant of Jonas Gray...in...forget it. Let's hope that our recruits are coming here for our tradition, program and facilities. And when I say program, I mean without Steve Pederson...and Co. Fellas, this is the one thing that pisses me off: We have facilities that are SECOND TO NONE. Why do our players act as if they are playing for Midland Lutheran (used to play there)?? Look at our Stadium. Look at our facilities. Look at our state-of-the-art locker rooms. Look at our state-of-the-art weight room. Look at the god-damn player's lounge...there's a damn Nebraska waterfall in it! Look at the gigantic big-screen television in the North Stadium (the one thing Steve Pederson accomplished while at Nebraska), I hope our recruits see Nebraska as a place for future players...
  11. Watch the post-game interviews of our players. Especially, Bo Ruud. You'll have to manually select the videos...select Bo Ruud and Fans Leave at Half videos... http://www.ketv.com/video/14334473/index.html I've been taught, that hands to the face signals signify lying. Ruud wouldn't look anyone in the face and he kept wiping his nose...that or he has a massive cold. This is not to say that I don't LOVE my Husker players... It's almost as if all players addressing the media have been coached?
  12. Frost is a flamer. Plain and simple. The mere fact that this person acknowledges that he/she is not a friend nor foe eliminates this person from the "conversation." If one is not a fan nor foe...why are you chiming in? You'll never understand Nebraska fans nor football. The fact you're here...now that's pathetic.
  13. Thus, by W A Frost's "conclusions" -- never be upset when your football program defies even the most modest of expectations. Unless one supports the administration that is the cause of the problem, one has to say that Steve Pederson and Bill Callahan and Co. MUST STAY!!!! Otherwise, one is not a true fan. :asshat Gotcha Frost. To quote Spaceballs -- "Welcome to real life."
  14. Your right, I appoligize. Please remember that these players, most of them, are on either a full-ride or a hefty scholarship...to play football for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. I'm a current grad-student at UNL...and I would drop everything if I could have a chance to play on this team. That's why people are upset. We don't understand why there is no fire exhibited in the play of our team. I have no sympathy for a athlete-student playing at the University of Nebraska. Because after all, that's what they are...athlete-students...and not vice-versa.
  15. We should all strive to be as good of fans as you are. Unfortunately, I guess I just left my blinders at home during the game today. Pompous much? I even like your name -- TRUE HUSKER FAN. Not a regular, lowly ol' fan like us. But a true fan.
  16. I was doing the same thing, as were my brothers and my dad. Sadly, me as well. I figured, when the radio dudes were talking about how OSU was on pace to "beat" our all-time worst home loss ever...it would take something like that to open the sewn-shut eyes of Pederson. If he ignores this...my name ain't Nathan Arizona.
  17. I believe that it is necessary to address the TRUE culprit of our predicament. Steve mutha' f%&k&ing Pederson. Can anyone here "blame" Callahan for seizing the opportunity presented to him by Steve Pederson? Why would he not take it? The opportunity to coach one of the most storied programs in college football history is a pretty-good opportunity for a fired, ex-NFL coach. It's really not Callahan's fault. He's here because the opportunity was there (Steve Pederson). We can go back and forth and wonder whether MOTIVATION is the problem. I believe it is. But Callahan was hired by Steve Pederson. Callahan brought his "vaunted" West Coast Offense into an Option Offense program...and it simply didn't work. Whether this is due to Callahan WILL NEVER BE KNOWN. Why should we blame ol' Pedey? Because SP fired Frank Solich with NO replacement lined-up or even in-mind. If you remember it took roughly 4 months for us to find a coach willing to come here and give it a try...albeit at a measly, couple million dollar salary. Steve Pederson needs to be held accountable for his actions. If this Athletic Director continues his tenure beyond Monday...there NEEDS to be a serious revolt. STEVE PEDERSON fired a coach for going 9-3, or ultimately 10-3 -- citing the program slipping into mediocrity (as you all know). Or, as the Lincoln Journal Star (10-13-2007) puts it "Mediocrity is looking pretty good right about now." Bring in "Bobo the Chimp" as our A.D., we shouldn't care. Just so long as Steve Pederson does not continue to receive paychecks from the University of Nebraska. If Bill Callahan gets fired, and Steve Pederson remains the Athletic Director at NU...I am going to officially "flip-out."
  18. Don't you think it's too expensive to buy him out? Hardly. It will be more costly an effect to keep him. A few million now, or the total annihilation of everything Husker football. I know which is more costly. Think about it this way. Sure, one could say it's more "cost-effective" to keep Callahan...rather than buy him out. On the other hand, watching our sell-out record go by the wayside, numerous other insignificant records (OSU hadn't won at Memorial Stadium since 1960, for example), losing donor money (lots o' money), revenue from merchandise purchases...gone. Before this game, I was hoping it was just Cosgrove's problem...now, I'm SURE it isn't. I can't possibly conceive an argument to justify this coaching administration remaining in Nebraska, monetarily or anything else. Period. I will continue to support Nebraska, regardless. But that's just inherent for me. This administration??? Not so much.
  19. I watch this every Friday before a game. I know that I'm living in the past, but this makes me feel better. Although I wasn't born until 1978, I've still relished the Cornhuskers since my birth. It always pumps me up. I know that 99% of the people here have seen this, just a reminder of Nebraska Cornhusker football...the way it was, and should be. Keep this video in the back of your mind.
  20. So wrong. So wrong. Funny...but in what context? I'm a buzz-kill. Although I need to laugh, I question the intention of this post. I'll laugh, because I understand it in the context...however...I will ask you to refrain from posting the down-syndrome kids as a point-of-reference.
  21. *Please...don't make me note how CLOSE we came to losing to Ball State. We probably should have lost...no offense...because you shouldn't take offense to what I find offensive...as a fellow Nebraska Cornhusker fan. P.S. Ball State BEAT Navy. Now, that you have realized this...go look at Navy's stats....
  22. I thought the same thing. When ran correctly , it is a beautiful thing. I had Eric Crouch flashbacks . That could have been the beer I guess... Don't you ever....EVER.... talk about beer that way.
