  1. Per Rivals.com: Rivals250 DE Adam McLean decommitted from Penn State on Tuesday, reports Adam Friedman, opening the door for several programs. Anybody think we have a shot to at least get him in for a visit?
  2. When I was there from 2004 - 2010 (yup, 6-year plan lol) the first couple years they were around $140 for the season. When T.O. came back as AD he raised the price to $152/season with a promise that they wouldn't go up again until 2012, IIRC.
  3. From the Omaha World-Herald: Joe Keels is N!!! Good steal from Wisky, thanks to coach Kaz. http://sports.omaha.com/2013/12/10/recruiting-joe-keels-flips-from-wisconsin-to-nebraska/#.UqeN6sWAWek
  4. IIRC Nebraska was one of the first 5 states to decriminalize marijuana. It is currently only punishable by UP TO $300 fine, for possession of under 1 oz. However, Marijuana is NOT legal in NE. There is a big difference between the two. Edit: Florida, on the other hand, has not decriminalized marijuana.
  5. What was the question/response? Or, at least the jist of it...I'm at work and can't listen to it, unfortunately.
  6. I believe we have the ONLY runzas Knapp. That's a Nebraska thing. Home to Nebraska, yes. Not that it has anything to do with the B1G, but, Runza has expanded to Fort Collins, CO. A little taste of home for those of us on the front range.
  7. I think Peter has some very valid points here. I agree, Bo shouldn't be fired as a direct result of this audio "coming to light". However, the fact that we have a captain coming out and saying that there wasn't anything the team could do, and that the team always seems so flat on the sidelines are causes for concern, IMO. Sure, he talks about "the glory days" a lot. But, so do a lot of people who post on here (myself included). I don't think he's a tool because of it. I think he just likes to remind people what the standard is b/c as Paul in WI pointed out, most younger fans have little perspective on those teams.
  8. Well...too bad Urban Meyer came out of retirement and took the job that he had his eye on when he made that comment.
  9. Nobody's mad, bro! Thats the problem. No....get it because you're name is Nob....ah nevermind.
  10. I'm just going to assume that you're not reading any of my posts then...I never said it isn't on the coaches.
  11. This is a really stupid argument. We consistently turn the ball over a lot. That's part of coaching. whoosh I'd like to point out that, originally, I posted this as a joke....looking for a few laughs because...well I'm a smarta$$. However, it does seem like people forget about the position coaches and their role with the players.
  12. This is a really stupid argument. We consistently turn the ball over a lot. That's part of coaching. I'm not discounting the fact that under Bo Pelini the TEAM has produced far too many turnovers. However, to imply that Bo is directly responsible for putting the ball on the turf is asinine. There are far too many variables that play out during a football game to simply blame this on the head coach. It's not as if he tells the team to give the ball away. Or, doesn't make ball security a priority in practice. If anything I think it may be important to look at the position coaches, as they are the ones who run the players through drills day-in and day-out. One example, Ron Brown was the running backs coach under Frank Solich, yes? Didn't he have the same exact problems with turnovers that we're seeing now? Now, am I saying that turnovers aren't a problem? Hell no, that would be stupid. What I am saying, however, is that it is not responsible to place 100% of the blame on Bo Pelini. Ron Brown was not running backs coach for Solich. He was still WR coach. Tim Albin coached running backs, at least in Frank's last year that I recall. Yes, you're right. He was the receivers/tight ends coach. For some reason I thought he was coaching running backs. So, poor example on my part. Regardless, I think it is more of an issue of the position coaches than the head coach. Obviously the head coach is the one in the spotlight, and he's going to take the heat. But, I think of Husker fans (most of them) as "smarter than the average bear" and smart enough to realize that the blame shouldn't solely lie on Pelini. Now, the argument that perhaps he hasn't chosen the right coaches for his staff....maybe.

  14. One thing stands out to me....I watched all of those games, but I never once saw Bo Pelini turn the ball over.
  15. I tend to stand when I do this...unless it's in the morning, then it might include a slight bending over...just sayin'. lol
  16. In my opinion - Ohio State has an absurdly over-hyped QB as well. I hope you're right. I hope he flames out like Barkley did, but my money would be on Braxton being better than he was last season. He's already an elite runner at the position, and his passing has nowhere to go but up. it could go down, though. There's no room down there, hombre. I'm no expert, but I believe there are multiple directions his passing could go (in, out, post , corner, etc.). Although, the most beneficial for us would probably be down!
  17. Profootballweekly.com asked Prince a few questions about the combine, and what he thought of his performance. My favorite quote from the article (on the interview process): Prince Amukamara's draft diary, Part 3 Well, that's a relief! Apparently the NFL didn't adopt the don't ask, don't tell policy.
  18. The coaches said they were not satisfied with his play and effort. There is some speculation that it was something of ploy to light a fire under him. Others take the words at face value. Take from that what you will. Thanks carl...Hopefully Phil gets his sh*t together. He's a good guy. I'd hate to see him sitting on the sidelines for his senior season.
