  1. Yeah, I agree overall as a team we have much better talent. But our DB's, IMO, have less talent. Remember, we had Fabian Washington, the Bullocks twins, and McPherson (?) in the secondary then. The difference now is that all of our players buy into the system that is in place, instead of acting like cry babies about it. Regardless of who we had back there, my point was that if we just put everyone back and try to just defend the pass, we will get torched. We would get torched because the SC receivers would find a way to get open no matter what, if they have enough time.
  2. I believe we tried that approach against Texas Tech a couple years back...and if I remember correctly, that didn't work out so well for us. What was the score to that game again... 70-10? Not to mention, USC's recievers are at least twice as good as Techs were in that game. Although we have different DB's now, I'd say we've probably got the same amount, if not less, experience. It should be one hell of a game. But I hope to all that is holy that we don't just drop as many people back as we can because those receivers will find a way to get open no matter what. ...ok, I'm done.
  3. Maybe, I might agree with you if it didn't sound like he had a c@ck in his mouth when he was talking! I can't understand a damn thing that fool says.
  4. I have to agree...that was the loudest game that I've been to so far! :wootx2
  5. This story was actually on a segment for a local radiostation here in Lincoln. For those who live here, it was on "Stupid People Shouldn't Breed" on the 104.1 BLAZE.
  6. NU: 35 LT: 10 Neb Rushing Yards: 175 Neb Passing Yards: 335
  7. How True....so this thread should actually be entitled "The Rules Formerly Known as the Unwritten Rules of Memorial Stadium."
  8. Doesn't that strike anyone as odd? I mean what are the odds that almost every QB that bolted from NU over the last four - five years would end up at one school? They didn't all go to the same school, just the same state. Dailey is playing for the tar heels, Dukes went to Duke (I believe), and I think Beck and Goodman both went to NC State. I could be wrong about goodman though, I don't really remember much about him.
  9. I'm pretty sure that the weight he lost was mostly a beer belly. An ex-co-worker of mine used to buy him alcohol all the time last summer. He said one friday he bought him a bottle of vodka, then the next night he wanted him to buy something else...so I'm kinda hoping with this maturity comes less partying and more focus on football and school.
  10. I always use CBSsportsline, but I'm not picky. It's all fun, and when we get the league set up I'm N.
  11. do you remember Brendon Stai-----he played for the Steelers didnt he? As did Kris Brown and Chris Kelsay (or chad, I get them mixed up).
  12. Article LOS ANGELES -- Southern California tailback Hershel Dennis, who entered spring practice No. 1 on the depth chart, has torn ligaments in his left knee and is expected to miss the 2006 season. Dennis was injured in practice Tuesday, apparently trying to cut on the wet artificial turf at USC's Cromwell Field. An MRI taken Wednesday night revealed the damage. The fifth-year senior tore ligaments in the same knee in December 2004, had surgery the following month and sat out last season. USC coach Pete Carroll said after practice Thursday that the school would look into applying for a sixth year of eligibility for Dennis. A date wasn't immediately set for surgery. Running back Desmond Reed, who played as a backup last season, will also miss the season, ESPN's Joe Schad reports. Reed injured his ACL in last season's game against Notre Dame. Dennis started every game as a sophomore in 2003 -- ahead of then-freshmen Reggie Bush and LenDale White. Dennis was the only experienced tailback participating in spring practice. Reed and Michael Coleman both played as backups last season. Coleman is also recovering from an operation, his on a hip. Chauncy Washington, who has been academically ineligible the past two seasons and isn't participating in spring practice, hopes to play next fall. He is currently taking classes at USC.
  13. Linky Thought this was pretty interesting. What do you think his chances of getting in are?
  14. I'll be there, and why not its free for students.
  15. He and his girlfriend come out bowling on Sundays. I bartend on Sundays, so I've seen them for the last two or three Sundays in a row now. He seems to be doing fine to me, at least I would think so if he's bowling and such.
  16. *Que Music* One of these things is not like the other ones...
  17. Have to say that I agree with the rest of the guys. The new one seems to be a lot easier to read and navigate. I'd keep the new one.
  18. I played midget football with Joe Blahak's son about ten years ago. Our first year playing he was an assistant coach. I'll tell you what... he was a DICK! Apparently first year midget football players are supposed to be NFL superstars. Needless to say, he made my first year of football suck.
  19. FRED get out of there quick, before you get sucked up!!!
