Well that was great watching the Sooners lose. It would have been really sick if they'd won another title. Bob Stoops' expressions at the end were priceless.
He is going to end up 3-9, which is much worse than any of Callahan's losing seasons. I think it is great, it definitely makes our 7-7, 5-6 and 5-7 seasons look a lot better by comparison.
I still hate KSU more than any other D1A team, because of their fans. I do not think that I'd call them a "rival" though, considering that NU leads the series 75-15. Our only real rival is OU.
I think we'll score over 30 points on them. Unfortunately they'll score over 50 on us.
I'm spending more time thinking about ISU and Baylor though, those are the crucial must-win games this month...
Watson should remain our offensive coordinator. Sure, we only scored 17 points vs a top five team last weekend, but that is not the end of the world. His offense scored 73 points vs KSU last year. He deserves a couple more years for that game alone.
Lane Kiffin will also end up the HC of some random D1A team, I can not imagine him taking any lower position then that at this point.
If Pelini can beat Baylor, ISU, KSU, and CU and then go to a bowl game, there will be no serious outrage from the fans. However, things could get very ugly if he loses to Baylor and/or ISU... We didn't fire Callahan to go 3-9.
