There is a big potential for some type of spread/ great ground game even the west coast offense.......with the right kind of coach..........and minimal recruit loss.........a big bounce back could happen.........am I being delusional .....??????? I mean there is alot of potential here even for next year.........Get this funk off this team........get someone in here who could light a fire.....anything could happen........

You are right these guys on this team love the coaches.........but I don't see the brilliance.......even when it comes to the west coast offense.........

Zach Potter and Lance B. are warriors and Zach will be good if his self esteem can withstand this season BUT........................... Lucky hits hole like a puss........and has been shown up by a freshman......CM cares more about skirt and just wants this season over........SK saw us as a chance to get to the nfl and now I think he sees that it aint happenin unless he has some amazing combines.....................our O-line cant go three series without assuming the hands on the hips head down position..................this cant all be placed on the staff......players have not been the same since Wake game..................the staff needs to be blamed for not benching some seniors ...............the "give up attitude has permeated this team". It is obviousjust from watching the team come out for the tunnel walk. This will be probably be locked also......but it is a fact Callyspeak and Callyattitude have infested this team and it will take a clean slate for whoever takes the job and a couple of rough years to get the program back on track.

has anyone partied in lincoln on Sundays or even after the game........well I went up there with a friend and low and behold who is in there drinking and talking mad sh#t.......Corey and Sam ...a big change from "I take the blame" and the "WE JUST HAVE TO WORK HARDER" ....it was basically f#*k nebraska....f#*k TO...etc. almost got into a fight......but age and common sense prevailed.......this team is truly dead.

TO has the boosters muzzled until the end of the season.......TO will not go back on his word.....now if Cally resigns.........

Billy C. is 0-15 when down at half...........his teams have never mounted a halftime come back.

I don't think that's true, I think most fans have been putting up with him from the start. I know I've never liked the guy, and when people said "winning cures everything", I knew that wouldn't be true. All the stories about how he treated former players, players wanting to quit the team, and his idiotic public statements told me all I needed to know. I'll always pull for the Huskers, but if I don't like the coach I won't pretend that I do. The whole mob mentality is crap.....he has killed this program with the help of pedey....it is time for him to go..........he has lost this team.....it is blatantly obvious to the rest of the country not just die hard NU fans.

Lets see similar situation at Oakland.......Cally knows this is it....for him and head coaching at least for a while....buyout negotiations have already ensued.......and the vultures are circling....I.E. Kjuco, Fizzou, sCUm and do you really see anyone barring Watson making any attempt to make recruiting visits after all that has transpired, if we lose Saturday Osbrone has to make a move of somekind...IMHO

He is lobbying for the big buyout......no doubt wants to get the hell out of dodge........and I am worried that there will be some sabotage with regards to recruiting.......any thoughts........if Cally had any interests in salvaging his job.....Cosgrove should have been axed by now.....but oh no......he angles for bigger buyotu incentives for the dink...............I can just say this.....Cally has no interests in mind when it comes to NU and I think it will get ugly........I trust Tom but I am worried.....just looking for some thoughts on this.

nope......I believe him and I don't believe sh#t Cally says period.......they closed the doors on any ties to the past at NU...wrecked the walk-on program........and put alot of pedeyshine on anything that resembled the sad state of this program.

He is burning up redshirts...period if Mendoza was so great we would have seen him by now.......Osborne needs to touch base with every recruit.....period.....between fizzou, kjuco and the fluffs and Cally they will wreck any recruiting class that comes in.....TO is very smart I am sure he see this........thing is if Cally does this it will wreck his big buyout negotiaions for him and cosgrove......but I would'nt put it past him.

Cally never denied the fact he called TO a "crusty old F", so that is enough for me to jump off the Cally bandwagon. I could care less what he thinks of me as a fan, but when you spew blasphomy at TO, that is when i take exception. Its amazing how fast the fans turned on Cally. I think for the most part about 3 weeks ago we could deal with him as long as the defensive coaches would be gone. Now that all of this info has come out about what he really thinks of TO and the program, I am making it my personal mission to make his life a living hell so he quits and we dont have to pay out his contract! Cally has a HUGE ego....he was tryng to shape this whole program into the midwest USC.....it failed and he alienated himself to pretty much every one and now he is trying to f#*k NU over once more by positioning for a big buyout.....that piece of sh#t could care less about NU and Tom, even the team for that matter....it is no surprise to me....look at Texas tech .........same situation........

OK, Guys, there appears to be a “Phase II” brewing in Lincoln. From corroborating sources who have proven very reliable in recent days: It appears that Callahan, Cosgrove, Elmassian, and Wagner were all asked to resign over the weekend, again yesterday (BEFORE the press conference), and flatly refused, seeking not only the buyouts to which they’d be contractually entitled if fired, but actually seeking sweetened deals to get the hell out of Dodge. NU is working on a package whereby they would "resign", rather than be fired by Tom or Perlman. There is a strong possibility that these four will be dismissed very soon. The interim plan has Shawn Watson as Offensive Coordinator, Bill Busch as Defensive Coordinator, and none other than CHARLIE MCBRIDE as interim Head Coach! Word is that George Darlington and Milt Tenopir might come on board on an interim basis, as well. The remaining assistants: Gilmore, Rudolph, and Wyatt, along with Watson and Busch, would have opportunities for retention under a new Head Coach. One of the goals is to identify which recruits would be retained, so that any defections could be replaced well ahead of signing day, in order to salvage the 2007 class. Osborne apparently agreed to these plans in principle even before being named Athletic Director, and it could go down almost immediately, or could happen after Saturday's game. Another notable tidbit: Bo Pelini HAS been in contact with Osborne regarding the Head Coach position, and is VERY interested. He has reiterated his admiration of Marvin Sanders as a candidate for Defensive Coordinator. Some bits and pieces of this scenario have appeared elsewhere on the internet, but the sources used here are separate, and have yet to be wrong about recent goings on in Lincoln.

But what if it means losing by 30+ points with another coach? I just don't think anyone new is going to get this team back to respectable by the end of the season, whether Watson takes over or someone from outside is brought in. I'd rather wait til the end of the season so whoever takes over can start with a fresh slate. also it shows patience and not spur of the moment thinking and gives time to find a quality replacement......it will hurt but let cally lay in his bed til the end of the season.......also there is always a chance he resigns.
