  1. The whole country will be able to see it if they want. If the game is not on their local abc, it will be on the ESPN 2 in their area, at least that's how it is here. Whatever the other game that is not on ABC is on ESPN 2.
  2. Gotta say, I'm pumped for the game this weekend. We have a big chance to make a step in the right direction for a great season. However, we can't place the season on this game. If Bo and Co showed us anything last year, is they did a great job rebounding after tough losses. That aside, I think if the Ds shuts their one dimensional offense down and contain T.Taylor, and the offensive line give Zac Lee time, we win easy. If we give up too many long drives and we don't establish some running game with Helu and Burkhead, it could be a long night. Score when we shut down their run and our offense is balanced: 31-24 Nebraska. If we don't stop the run and zac gets hit early and often : 24-17 Va Tech. Here's to the 'skers jumping on them early and often
  3. I was just wondering if anyone knew if the game was televised this weekend.
  4. How about the "catch" at Missouri in '97 that pretty much sealed the deal for a national championship that year.
  5. I think everyone is to caught up on the offense he is running at Navy. He has crap for athletes to work there and the simple, misdirection offense he is running fits the unathletic players there well. He knows offense and how to fit the offense to his players. He was the OC at Hawaii and read a spread option. He seems to have the ability to fit an offense to his players, so who knows what offense he would choose to run at Nebraska. I really like him more so than Bo. Nothing wrong with Bo, but PJ is a proven winner. Look at his record at navy, not to mention the 4 national titles at Georgia Southern ( 2 head coach, 2 assistant). I don't think we could go wrong with him. Hell anything's better than what we have now.
  6. If Reesing is named player of the week, he will be the fifth player in a row to be big 12 player of the week after playing Nebraska. i read that on the main story on espn.com. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=273072305
  7. I really think he should get a shot. He's been in the system a lot longer, and from what I saw he appears to know what's going on, maybe even better than keller does. I do think he should get a shot regardless of keller's injury.
  8. I really think they should fire who they want to fire now. We need to at least know who the new coaches will be for our upcoming recruiting class, which is supposedly good. Who knows now if they are still going to come here. I don't think I would with everything that is goign on now.
  9. I'm having a hard time finding the game on the radio. It doesn't work for me on huskers.com. Where else can I listen to it?
  10. I've never been a fan of mr. cosgrove. He doesn't show the usual emotion of a defensive coach. I am not too concerned bill never shows emotion, he's the head coach he's supposed to keep his cool. However, Defensive coaches are not bound to the same rules. I've watched some many games and played a lot of football when I was younger and in high school and was a manager at the collegiate level, defensive coordinators are crazy. I love defensive coaches because of their intensity and attitude, and that's what gets the players playing. Of course they need to know something about defensive (which i am pretty sure cos doesn't) but they also have to have the ability to motivate the players. I want to see cos get ticked off or get a 15 yard penalty. His head is on the chopping block, maybe he can motivate himself to motivate the players. However, i doubt he will so i hope calli is smart enough to save his job and fire cos either now or at least at the end of the season.
  11. It's a sad to see how bad Nebraska really is this year. I am from Kansas, but have been a husker fan my whole life. I'm not embarrassed to be a Husker fan but I am embarrassed of this coaching staff. Callihan seems more worried about being on the good side of the media. He says the same crap after every game, win or lose. I know he can't go out and trash the team or his coaches, but outside of the conferences he needs to be doing something to change the direction of the program. I will continue to watch the rest of this year, but i'll be suprised to see any more wins. Both of the Kansas teams, Colorado, and the south teams are much better than us at this point. Callihan has done a great job recruiting, but recruiting isn't everything. Mack Brown = great recruiter, not so good head coach. I continue to watch and hope for some spark to get these players playing, but I feel like I am watching NFL effort in the college game. Crappy arm tackling, constant over pursuing, and out of position players on defense is getting old. These players have no emotion. I am not blaming the talent, and I hope that things get better, but at this point I am very apathetic. It'll be interesting to see if Cally tries to change things up, or be a stubborn jackass and pretend things aren't that bad, and just a few adjusments should be made and everything will be alright. Wake up everyone, we just got our asses handed to us no questions asked.
