  1. I don't know about the growth spurt deal, but Tyler does look very young. Tyler is also turning 18 next month, for some he should be in the class of 2009. Cody Green is only a couple months older then T. Gabbert. I'd be inclined to think he's done growing and hopefully he is a legit 6'. That's besides the point, I still can't figure out which direction this staff/Watson wants to go regarding the type of QB they want?? OR which direction they want the offense to go?? WCO, Spread, Spread option based running attack, I guess they just call it the Nebraska O, whatever that is. Lee is a dual threat. Spano, from reports, is Not. L. Washington is a dual threat. C. Green is a dual threat. Tyler Gabbert is Not. How is a guy who runs a legit camp timed 4.6 40 not a duel threat? With that kind of speed, you let the kid run and he will pick up some yards.
  2. No where near the size of the kid at Missouri with the same last name. Think of him as a 1 inch taller version of Todd Reeesing, becasue his game is alot like his. Only he is alot faster. Also he has played much better than Blaine in games. The only thing that will hold both Blaine and Tyler back( except that Blaine plays for Misery), is that they play pretty crappy competiton in a lower level divesion.
  3. I don't know if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, but if you are, I would start off with him. Then talk about family, and then maybe talk some football. edit: I missed the part about sunday school teaching. You two will have alot to talk about.
  4. Where you at fro daddy? i saw you reading the thread earlier, but you didn't post a comment. Missouri boy number 2, with Lucas next Don't know why Fro would care unless we pull in Lucas also. Mizzou already has their QB commit and he's a good one too. Awesome news with Gabbert. Hope this helps pick recruiting up a little bit. just trying to get under his skin. I'm sure he doesn't like the fact that we got two of the best players from Missouri. I know I would be pissed if two Nebraska kids went to MU. Of couse we have been pulling top talent out of that state for years.
  5. There were some awesome CB's in this years draft, and out of the top 8, only 3 were over 6 feet, and none were taller than 6'1. I just don't think the taller CB's can back pedal, and turn quickly enough to cover these fast recievers that are running straight at full speed. Do the tall recivers have an advantage on jump balls, yes.

  7. Oh man, if Nebraska is able to snag Lucas that would be quite a recruiting coup in my opinion. To cherry pick three of the best high school prospects from state of Missouri...fantastic. I won't hold my breath though...we landed Terry and Gabbert...it seems like hoping for Lucas would be too much to ask for. But there's a long way to go between now and LOI signing day. How much interest does Lucas really have with NU though? not to be a downer but even when we got Terry it didn't seem to change much with him coming here. I really hope Lucas gives us a good look he'd have a great chance to play early and set some records here even. He would not have visited if he wasn't interested. With him being buddies with Terry and Gabbert, that only increases the chance that we get him
  8. I can't stand their cocky QB Robert Griffin. There, I fixed both of your posts. Robert Griffin is a grade A punk in my opinion. Yeah he made a few plays in the first half against Nebraska last year, mainly due to our own mistakes. But in the 2nd half he didn't do squat. And then after the game, in which his team LOST he went and talked smack about how Nebraska wasn't as fast as they were? What a gutless little punk. Yeah, but he is one fast gutless little punk.
  9. Come on Marcus, all the top kids in Missouri are commiting to the Huskers. Jump on this bandwagon, and be part of something special.
  10. LMAO... Dude, you are posting in the middle of about 20 people talking about it right now.
  11. I can't stand their cocky QB Tyrod Taylor. After watching him showboating in the Orange Bowl, I want Suh and the boys to plant his face in the turf. Of course Mizzou has some bigtime payback comming their way. Orange Bowl?? Ohhhh...your talking about last year's game. Cause KU had him on his back most of the night in 2007. LOL. He looked scared that night. Did you guys see that jerk posing with one hand behind his helmet, and the other sticking the football out as he ran in the endzone. I hate that crap, and thats why they are at the top of my list. Also, it would give us huge confidence before we whip you're sorry jayhawk butt's later in the season
  12. How sweet would that be??...!! I bet Lucas is the first recruit he calls.
  13. Welcome to the Husker family Tyler. Now its time to make you're big bro sorry he went to Mizzou.

  15. So you are saying that Gabbert might have commited already, but they are not announcing it until Robinsons visit is over?
  16. Watch out Jen, skersfan has been poping the viagra again, and is feeling a little frisky
  17. Come on Tyler hurry up and commit. Although I wouldn't mind it at all if Robinson commits as well.
  18. Auburn also commited secondary NCAA recruiting violations during his visit. Imagine that, Auburn cheating.
  19. Problem is that everytime we offer and Oregon offers we seem to be on the losing end of things. I don't think so on this one though. Oregon is a late jumper and it seems like Gabbert is ready to commit to NU any day now . Could be way off, but I don't think so. I'm not worried about Oregon at all. If he has any dreams of playing in the NFL, he better not go to a school that runs the spread. Especially with his lack of measureables( 6 foot tall) Because Nebraska has put so many quarterbacks in the pros We will, give us time. We know for sure that Mizzou doesn't, as Booger boy will never make it in the NFL, and the spread will ruin Gabberts chances as well.
  20. Until you get them on campus, you can never evaluate that for any player. Harrison Beck is a prime example. But in hindsight, if we would've paid more attention to what his momma was saying during the recruitment process that would've given us all the insight we would've needed to stop recruiting Beck. All I'm saying is that hindsight tends to be 20/20. Tyler Gabbert on the other hand appears to be the real deal... From what I've gathered thus far the younger Gabbert doesn't have his parents meddling, I could be wrong though because I really don't follow recruiting all that closely. It is good to know that the younger Gabbert seems to be a Joe Ganz "clone" but with a stronger arm. If we stopped recruiting kids with crazy parents, we would lose out on a ton of talented kids. Thats the great thing about coaching at the college level, you only really deal with the kids parents during the recruiting. I coached club swimming for most of my adult life, and crazy parents take all of the fun out of coaching. Gabbert is in Lincoln today, so keep you're fingers crossed for a commitment.
  21. I really don't think LTW, with his limited knowledge of the offense, beat's out Zac Lee this season. So in order for the Huskers to have a good season, we all better hope Zac Lee is the offensive breakout player this season, or we will be in big trouble. I do however, feel that LTW has big time potential, and I hope he is our second string guy this year, and RS Green.
  22. Auburn is one of the all-time worst programs for recruiting violations, so it would not surprise me if they are cheating.
  23. Considering Suh is projected to be a top 10 pick, I would say there are not 29 defensive players better than him. Taylor Mays is a freak of nature and hard hitting, but he can't intercept the ball to save his life ( Zero interceptions last year)
  24. I'm with zoogie, we don't even know if Lawrence will ever play football again. Also I really doubt Paul is at all the reason Gabbert is interested in NU. Paul will be a senior when Gabbert gets here, and I would bet a ton of money that Gabbert would redshirt as a freshman, meaning Gabbert will never play with Paul. The gabbert family has a great relationship with Coach Watson, which is the main reason he is a NU lean right now.
