KU returned mucho players on a top 15 defense and fell off the map! Missouri returned 8-9 starters and were HORRIBLE! Missouri did not reach expectations, but they were far from horrible. I seem to remember them kicking our ass very badly.

I would be really surprised if NU did not have quite a few guys bench 500 pounds or more. Just hanging around the weight room here at my small university I see someone throw 500 pounds every once in a while (and these are not football players). That is not to say that a 500 pound bench is not impressive. It is. But there are plenty of guys out there who can do this. I saw a 325 pound guy legitimately throw up 600 pounds once. I think the record is 700+ pounds. Again, 500 is impressive. But not that rare. For a guy in his early 20's it is very rare and impressive. If you look at the great powerlifters in the world, they are all in their 30's. They get what is called " old man strength". But doing 1 rep for 500, is not how football players train anyway. At the combine they see how many reps of 225 they can get.

Big kid, reported stats on rivals are 6'2", 311lbs, 500lb bench, 685 squat, 5-second 40. Played for a JUCO in Yuma Arizona, is originally from Portland OR. He was a rivals top100 guy coming out of high school, he was signed with the Ducks at the time. Now it appears they aren't in the picture, not sure why. The only official offer is TTech, he is visiting Auburn, and is looking to visit us. He figures offers from 'burn and us are coming. You have to be kidding me, a 500 pound bench? The last Husker I remember having a 500 pound bench was Brenden Stai.

I don't know, but I feel very good about our chances after hearing that he is looking at schools with good position coaches. All we need him to do is take a good look at what Coach Carl did with Suh, and he is ours.

Our team improved, and learned a lot from our trip to Lincoln, just as your team did after getting waxed by Missouri. The only thing we can agree on at this point is that KU and NU will be at the top of the North next year. We closed out strong beating a good Missouri team, and ya'll beat up on some powder puffs after you beat us to finish the year. Congrats. See you in Lawrence next year. LMAO... bruno, you are now my favorite poster. Those pics are great, we need more humor on this board, please keep it up. I like KU, but their fans just don't get it. The fat man is not going to turn KU into a football powerhouse. Doc is a great basketball coach, and will get us to the dance, but we will never have the program that KU has in basketball, and the same goes for KU in football. Plus, his coaches jump ship every year, which just kills any continuity they might have. I expect total domination of Kansas next year, and every year here on out with Bo at the helm. They might pull an upset once in a blue moon.

Keep telling yourself that. KU's defense will improve with the addition of our new defensive coordinator. We're neck and neck with you according to Rivals for recruits, and have recruited heavily Defensive Ends, and d backs. Our defense won't be as bad as they were last year. Our offense will be by far the best in the Big 12 North. Why do guys keep losing coaches? Is the fat man that hard to work for or what? You know as well as I do that games are won on the line of scrimage, and we are better there by far. I don't think you really understand how good Bo really is. Don't worry, KU should be back in the top 10 in basketball next year, and you will soon forget about your silly football fantasy.

Say what you want about Danny Nee, but he created alot of excitment about Husker baskerball in the 90's. I will never forget being at Kemper in 91 for the Big 8 tournament. We were down something like 16 points with 4 minutes left to OU, and came back to win in overtime. The score was in the 100's, and we beat Billy Tubbs at his own game. Sometimes he put his foot in his mouth though. I remember watching the Nee show in his last year, and he said " You show me a kid with a 4.0 grade average, and I will show you a kid who is not playing enough basketball". But i met him in public, and I was surprised at how nice he was. I belive it is very important for NU athletics to get out basketball team back to the high level we were at under Coach Nee. And Doc is just the man to do it.

I think we should redshirt him too, but i disagree about not going anywhere this year. We the defense this team is playing we have a chance at the Big Dance this year. But, we have some big match up problems with Ou, Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor. I think we will pull the upset against kansas at home this year.

They better improve their O-Line next year, or Suh and the boys will knock Reesing out of the game.

Way to go Huskers. I love Doc and the intensity his team plays with. I just can't understand the lack of support this board gives Husker BB. Also did you guys hear about Diaz getting the clear ? Now the question is do we redshirt him. It would be nice to have him to guard the big boy from OU, but we should do whats best for the kid. Of course he would have started over Joe " product of the system " Ganz. He was Callahan's prized recruit, but Keller would never have come here if Beck would have stayed. But. I do think Callahan would have yanked Beck a couple of games into the season, and started Joe.

Of course people are going to be pissed at kids that decommit, and go to division rivals. But when we lose kids that have not given us a verbal commitment, the posters here almost always say goodluck to the kid.

Yes, I think his intelligence is going to carry him a long way. But, I think his athletic skills are very underated. People are all down on him because he put the ball on the ground a couple of times, while getting a couple of clean up dutie snaps. But, when I saw him run, I was very surprised. IMO, he will be the starter come next fall.

He was the biggest play maker I have ever seen on defense for the Huskers. Its too bad he was a rageing alcoholic. I hope he clean and sober today.

one thing i hate about this board is that the second a kid doesnt pick NU we just bash the crap out of the kid, insulting him both as a player and a person...... but with that being said, I just have to shake my head at the highlighted statement I totally disagree with what you said. Read the threads of the recruits we lost to other schools this year, and you will see that most of us wish the kids goodluck. The only exception is kevin Young, because of his stupid comments on why he went back to KU. If you can show me one example, besides Young, I will eat crow. Yhe last recruit we lost out on was Omigie, and not one negitive thing was said about him.

I want to see us smash his face into the turf all game long. I think he is a cocky prick after watching him in the Orange Bowl.
