he and his staff are doing the best they can, it doesn't matter who the new AD is he will respect them. He isn't concerned about his job, he can't worry about that. Need to prep for Sat and focus on the team. Kids are curious about what is going on.

I think he does, maybe that's one of the conditions, Callahan goes. I think he will do whatever is best for the althetic dept. No matter what that is.

I think if skersfan sees your post he'll let you have it. Mr. Cook has donated millions of dollars to the University. Not just athletics, but to the students. The Cook Pavilion when built and still is looked at by many schools as the template for student recreation centers. He has given countless donations. He had the NU in his will, geared to recieve millions in gifts. He could have very easily given these gifts to someone else or group. My point, is to show a little damn respect to a man that has given more than just a donation for his season tickets. He's 72 and donated his life to NU. Very few of us have done this. Plus, he makes a honest point. Without him, he have no great weight room or student center. Which means lower enrollment, fewer great athletes, less $...less success period. This is why I really believe TO NEEDS to come back. He needs to smooth the waters. Cook gave alot of money when TO was coach, so maybe if TO is AD, Cook will decide that maybe things will be ok. Solich wasn't fired just because of his coaching, there were several other issues, like how he treated his players, and his extra curricular activities with his asst. So there were alot of bounderies crossed by Solich. But that was how many years ago. Time to let the Solich thing go. Alot of people thought it was ok to fire him and alot didn't. Doesn't matter it's done. Pedersen is done. Doesn't matter anymore. We have to move on. We have to retain our current supporters and get some more if we want to keep one of the best facilites and colleges around. You don't get an excellent medical research facility by standing and looking at it, someone has to give the money. Cook is upset because his friend got let go, fan were upset because Pedersen and Callahan were here. Were the fans quiet, ummm NO, so why should Cook be quiet.

Ask her to get some kind of recording...something...verification...who told him...when...how...etc. If this is true it would constitute the hugest shakeup in Nebraska football history. Lord knows of Callahan goes, so does the whole bloody ship in one week.... Maybe that's why the rumor of Pelini being in Lincoln is all over!

The NCAA actually has no rule that forbids contacting coaches during the season. However, ADs typically don't do it. Rather, they hire a search firm, and that firm puts out "feelers" to coaches' agents. That allows the coach to say, "I haven't been contacted" or "I haven't spoken with..." and the AD to say, "I haven't contacted anyone". Somewhat silly, but it helps reduce the kind of "bad feelings" that can come from so-called "poaching". Absolutely correct, they will likely employ a search team first for an AD and then for a coach. If they come to terms on an AD soon then they will search for a coach but NO coach will be hired without a new AD and a search committee is always the first step. Just asking, could it be possible they have the AD,interim or permenant, thing figured out and just not saying anything, wanting to cool the flames from letting Pedey go. And so since they have that figured out they are looking at HC??????????

Depends on what the coaching staff does. If they don't hold them together they won't stay together. Which is very sad for our players, we don't have the staff to help them right now.

I think as long as the fans, stand up for the kids playing, no matter how they do, they will try harder, just because they don't want to let the fans down. They know now that things are going to change, whether bc leaves or not. But the fans have to support the boys, and next year I believe most we stay out of loyalty. But I'm a glass half full kind of person

I have 1620 on the puter and they are talking about the 2:15 announcement. How when the announcement is over the sun will come out, a rainbow will appear and birds will fly over!

Maybe BC isn't leaving for two weeks, because Texas/Huskers is on TV that weekend.

I don't think BC would coach for TO. There is alot of anomosity on BC's part towards Tom. I think if they even name Tom interim, Bill would resign. Tom spoke to this years players and he commented that he didn't think they would ask him back. Maybe that's the plan. Get rid of AD, name TO as interim, thus forcing BC's resignation. They probably don't have to buy out the contract if he resigns. I'd like to see the quote where Tom O said he didn't think they would ask him back. Here's a thought, could Pedey get fired, TO interim, and Callahan won't coach under him so he quits. Then we are only buying out Pedey.

I myself wouldn't boo the players. I couldn't do any better than what they are or were. But the coaches and the officials yes. They are getting paid big bucks to make the right decisions. Obviously the coaches haven't and didn't. JMO
